Polish Pickup Rewind last year was my very first PPU and I cannot tell you how confused I was with the whole “one polish on this website, one polish on the maker’s website” thing. So glad I finally understand what’s happening this year 😂

One thing I’ve realised about nail polish is I can layer and experiment with combos which makes old polish feel new again. And that I like full manis with one polish so doing my nails once a week means I might need to wait 3 weeks to try the 3rd polish I bought, which sucks!!
So excited for rewind, I definitely missed some this year. I once again wish the selection wasn’t so purple heavy, but there are some gorgeous reds & greens, and at least one gorgeous juicy orange :)

Hi Caitlin, just recently found your channel & this video made me subscribe. I’m fairly new to indie brands & June was my first PPU experience. The way you show the swatches is impeccable! I want all of them!😂 I don’t understand why brands are on PPU with one polish & their website with another polish. Would you explain this please? Thanks so much for the video.

Aww that's so sweet! Thank you!! I think they offer one and one as a way to generate sales on their own site versus just the PPU site. That's my assumption but I could be wrong!
@@CaitlinSwatchesI believe the first year of rewind, the polishes were only available on the maker’s website and PPU took a break then the next year they decided to offer two polishes and have one in the PPU website and one on the maker’s website. So basically it gives you more polishes and gives makers more traffic to their website. 😊

I love how many brands brought back their Halloween polishes and more vampy shades, it's kind of a fun mix up for this time of year. Very tempted by Sassy Sauce Glampire, but think I will ultimately hold off rewind to save for PBE

I'm definitely picking up more Glampire. I'm in love with that shade. It's reminds me of my fav pokemon Genger. It even works as a topper pretty well over some similar shades.
So glad Glampire is back. I need another bottle. So many gorgeous polishes. Not sure how I'm going to keep my list down to an affordable level.

I don't think I have ever seen a BK's cremé before. I would consider the first two polishes more like jellies or maybe crellies...
I always think of cremés being opaque in 1 or 2 coats😂
Love all of these, since I'm saving up for PBE I will not be bring any of them home (well maybe a couple). I agree with you about reflective glitter I believe a little goes a long way, not a fan of them packed in. Watched Pam show off your colab collection, beautiful.
Those PiP polishes are just magic 😳 I love the base and shift of Glampire, but I don't black flakies, wish it came without them.
Picking up Bluebird's Walking Debt for sure and hopefully Garden Path Lacquer's Omlette du Fromage (I can only get it if GracieJay stocks it). From PPU site I want Phoenix Boy Toy and GLL Lake Superior Shenanigans. Such a great selection. Love your swatches! You're talking me into Rainbow Hair lol
I love when they do these rewinds. I'm definitely picking up PFD Jack O’-Lantern. I have one already, but I want/need a back up for spooky season. I know I'm going to run out of my other bottle and be so sad that I don't have a back up.

I keep rewatching this trying to tell myself I don’t need Rainbow Hair and That’s How You Know when I have PFD Catch My Drift, and that I don’t need Little Moth when I have GLL Come Again.
I think those are all very different. It's hard to describe how unique Rainbow Hair is but it's not close at all to Catch My Drift. and Little Moth is more rainbow-y than the GLL. The GLL Is more red in its shifts.

That’s a hard choice! My vote I Rainbow Hair but if you don’t like sheers, the PFD.

I was not planning on picking up any of the ones that are in your video before watching it... but now I am seriously thinking about Meowgical 2.0 and think I will go for the Rainbow Hair even though I have that "Magic something" or "something magic" shifting shimmer from BKL - which I also picked up after your swatch video! 😀😛
Other than that I am definitely going for Penelope Luz Funny Tree - I missed it during the season because I was not in the mood for that color scheme and I think now is the time to pick it up! Also White Opal Betta and Heart and Soul by Vanessa Molina.
I do have a question - do you remember Mind Freak by Fair Maiden? Do you have it? Is it super similar to PFD Jack-O-Lantern? Thank you!

That’s my original bottle. The formula hasn’t changed so I wasn’t sent a new one.

Edit: how does Rainbow Hair compare to Poor Unfortunate Souls? The latter is one of my all time favorites and I’m kind of on the fence about RH because I think they look similar in the swatches I’ve seen.
The PFD? They’re totally different. There’s nothing in my collection that comes close to Rainbow Hair.

Such a gorgeous selection. Little annoyed though that some polishes are offered separately on the PPU and their website. The purple from sassy sauce really caught my eye and I hope to see them at the event in Chicago in July. One brand that I haven’t seen in a while in both PPU and HHC shops is Great Lakes lacquer. They had some pretty shimmers. Do you happen to know whatever happened to them? Thank you for your beautiful swatches 😊
I think GLL is just taking a little hiatus. I know Mariah was sick for a bit but hopefully she will be back soon but unfortunately not for Rewind.

How would you compare clionadh's rain-bow to bees knees nothing in faerie is coincidence?? They look similar!
Maybe similar at first but a totally different formula (Clionadh has reflective glitter and the BKL is a softer overall look). And the BKL is lighter blue
@@CaitlinSwatchesYeah I was comparing them through screenshots I took of both and they look almost identical but I could tell the texture was definitely different. I just bought rain-bows yesterday with one of the mystery bags they had so I was hoping it was close to BKL NIFIC since I won't ever be able to get it:(
@@itsthespiceoflife Another BKL polish but a newer one you might have an easier time getting your hands on You're Not Unloveable is almost indistinguishable from NIFIC on the nail

I appreciate all your swatch videos.
With this video I was hearing some kind of background music which was very painful to my ears. I hate being critical but please don’t add background music to your future videos. When other swatchers do that and I have to play their videos on mute because it’s either too painful or annoying.
You do such a fantastic job of describing the polishes you swatch, and I would hate to have to watch your videos with the sound off.
It's interesting, because I noticed the background music and really liked it. I found it soothing and sweet.
