- Here's my arrangement of the Swimming theme from Super Mario World! After doing the Athletic theme, I couldn't help but dive right into the slow waltz version of the same theme. I grew up on this game and these songs hold so many memories of sitting on the floor playing Super Nintendo, completely lost in the visuals and music. Hope you guys enjoy!

Love how tranquil water levels are despite their infamy in game design
And the music accompanying them is almost always a waltz in older games

@@karunyagopan Did he though? Or did he come in a very very close 2nd place behind Aquatic Ambiance from Donkey Kong Country? Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Koji Kondo fan, but David Wise I think nailed the underwater theme in DKC.
@@taemien9219 You're right about Aquatic Ambience coming first, but I'd say DDD still stands as "one of the best", both songs are masterpieces and it's hard to choose between them!
By the way, considering we're on this topic, Stickerbush Symphony from DKC2 was ment for water levels during development, so it could also be considered in a technicality!

Gotta say two things.
First my wife doesn't like video game music but loves a capella so when I play one of these she gets excited and goes "it's the bahbah dude!" so it gives us one more thing to bond over.
Second, I always appreciate when a cover artist includes the Yoshi drumline in SMW covers. The tunes never feel quite complete without it.

I love how Super Mario World's songs are the same melodic line with different tempos and instruments, and it still works.

Definitely took inspiration? Really? I haven't played Wonder yet, but music like this has been a thing for decades. Heck, Sunshine has a rendition like this for its challenge levels.

God what a throwback. This game was my childhood. I got the SNES when my older siblings got newer consoles. I regret selling that thing so much now.

Oh, that takes me back. Had a edutainment game called Mario Teaches Typing. This was the theme used in the intermediate stages where they had you typing whole words but not sentences.
