I use an iConnectivity ICA2+ for my studio connection. It features two 1/4' inputs and 4 outs plus headphones. It can multitrack digital audio from iPad to my Mac as well as MIDI. When going mobile, I use a Roland Go:Mixer, which is about $99 and lightning powered. It can accept several different types of inputs. The only drawback is that it doesn't transfer any MIDI.
Might I also recommend the iConnectivity iCAudio2 or 4? I have the iC2A+ and it’s purpose built. It’s a class compliant audio interface that will also charge your iPad. The brilliance of this device is that it serves as an interface for your Mac or PC and your iPad, but it also has some great software that lets you route in several ways. For me, it serves as a way to record into my DAW and will use my iPad as a plugin. For instance, when I’m recording guitars, I will use BIAS FX as my amp and effects. I plug my guitar straight into the interface, then have it routes to the iPad for the amp, then route that to my DAW. More recently, I used AUM and some sequencers to sequence my hardware synths from the midi out of the iC2A. It worked perfectly. Now, I’m looking forward to using Gadget2 to sequence my synths and record audio into my DAW.
I should have done a video a long time ago on it. I just never got around to doing one. I want to get another interface that has 8 inputs, but I done have everything set up right now. I also have an iConnectivity MIO midi router. As you can see, I like their stuff.
Great Advice Todd. Nice looking Video Too. Thanks Bro!
Thank you my friend =)
