If I were a bench player who didn't contribute anything to the team during the season (as Giannis's brother did in LAL for example), I would take it, but I wouldn't show off that I have a ring just for the fact that I didn't fight to get it , I would take it, just to remember that experience of having been in that moment when I belonged to a winning championship team.
Honestly Ashley I respect your opinion but i disagree no matter what everyone should get the ring no matter what
Everyone is in the team, for a reason... It will be extremely sad to see everyone on the team getting a ring besides you. Also let me remind you that when you are on a road to championship team, like Lakers or Celtics or Warriors etc you have to fight with the greatest of our decade... It is not that simple...
You wear the colors of your team. You go to practice. You participate in some way. You deserve the ring. Its fine too because nobody is going to know who you are to an extent. I totally get what your saying but its still a team game and regardless it wont mean anything anyways. Im sure those players know and feel that they did not really contribute in a way that saw them to a Championship!!
No I wouldn't take the championship ring if I didn't earn it in someway. When you win a ring you want it to mean something and you want to feel that you did something to help your team win it. The memories you created to help win the ring is what you'll look back on the most and remember.
