Awesome ! I have run a circle d 3200 stall converter in my 08 Grand Marquis and it is my favorite mod.They make a great converter and are great to work with.Glad to see you continuing to push the envelope with the Mamba.
Wow now you are going into a deeper realm . It was good to see you run 10s with what you had in place and knowing what you did to get there. I have had Mustangs for 35 years now from 83 02 88 Gts to my favorite the Mach 1 now so excited to own a 19 GT and its potential for 10s.....learning from experience the more you dive into a deeper realm the more you break. My 18 GT came with 3.15 gears and I was a lil bummed when I found out after I bought it. But after reading up on it, I’m glad it came with it!

I made sure mine had em to stay out of 7th at full power and I knew I was gonna boost it immediately!! They charge extra for 3.55s hehe

Did you send the driveshaft to DSS to take care of the vibration or was the vibration in the dif? Going to do a ported intake manifold before boost? Good content Stang!

Congrats on the upgrades, mine has a 3:55 set also, first time in my life going to a 3:15 is the recommended option but with this setup it makes sense. My 18 10R is still in the shop, should get it back this week some time.
good advice on convertor spacing. I thought I had one in all the way and I ended up breaking the trans oil pump. Not crazy expensive to fix, but took a lot of extra time and headache to take it apart and put it back together.

Once you work on something a couple of time's it's a piece of cake. I ripped my whole top end apart on my 04 gt, minus the valve cover's and head's, put it all back together and running in under 2 hours.
Replaced alot of transmissions in my lifetime. Kasper’s seems to know their shit. Very enjoyable to watch.

3.15s is what my 2015 automatic EcoBoost has.. that's interesting that you're putting it in your car in the way it's going to be set up to go faster actually I can't wait to see it it's going to be awesome

Do you know if the 3.15s are only going to help with first gear or do you think that they will also pull harder from a roll?
Looks like when Steeda swapped to a 3.15, they dropped a .10 and gained 3 mph in the 1/4, but not sure how this translates to the street.
I guess the question is "is the 3.15 the best gear ratio on the street for a FBO, E85 NA car?"
Cool video brother, with a higher stall speed converter come more transmission heat, will the stock trans cooler keep up or will an aftermarket cooler be needed?
You gotta say 1st one on UA-cam I had 1 of these converters a little over 2 weeks ago installed with 4000 rpm stall
I believe that's what he was saying. Few guys have had them for a while now. I've 10R80 with supercharger run 8.70s with a 1.28ft. Stangmode may know the car because it was done at Atco few months ago.

If you got any additional footage I'd have really appreciated how the checked fluid levels and filled up the 10R80. I seen the tube on the trans fluid bottle but it would have been great to see I haven't found any content on it...and there are reports of them being LOW from the factory!!!!
I tried to tell Zander first one to put a stall in gets real 10s.

Stangmode, at the end you mentioned this was a supercharger converter. We are on the same build progression as you, but want to stay NA for a while. How well did Circle D say this will work on NA?

Did they have to brace the engine at all when they pulled the transmission? Im getting ready to pull my 10r80 and want to be sure the engine wont rock forward or back without bracing.

Do you have to retune with the converter? Which Circle D did you get? I have a 4c and completely changed the car. Very aggressive converter.

Did the tune need to get updated for the converter?
On the6r80 the CircleD is good for 4-6 tenths. The car should runs 10s on 93.

This may be a dumb question but can a Circle D converter be put on a manual car?
RS3 4 Me nope. Automatics use converters and manuals use clutches and flywheels. Just like upgrading the converter you can upgrade to a better, performance oriented, clutch like McLeod or mantic

What was your stock gear ratio? I have 373 in my 6 speed I think they feel kinda low.

Dont forget to have your tuner recalibrate the speedo and the converter will really come alive once you add the boost,NA is not going to tax it the same.

Had a 3k converter in a camaro and drivability sucked. It felt sluggish unless you floored it because the converter slipped so much. If yours pulls out decent without a ton of throttle your lucky. Otherwise cool build on the driveline.

I've been trying to find some research on the 10 speed auto with 373 gears vs 355 without much luck. Been considering the 373 but now with this video the 315s!? Any more info on this with that tranny set up? Would a 373 with the stock converter be close to this converter with 315?

I have a 2020 10r80 Mustang Gt. On the circle d website it doesnt give me an option to choose stall speed and neither a 4c option.

You know, every time I see a clutch or torque converter, it always amazes me how small they look when you consider the power that they're asked to transmit. Your new torque converter is a 3500 rpm stall speed. Do you know what the stock torque converter stall speed was? I also found it interesting that you swapped the rear end ratios too, going from a 3.55:1 to 3.15:1. I would have thought the two mods might tend to cancel each other out on a NA engine but I'm certainly no expert. I, as we all, will be watching to see how it does at the drag strip.
Something else I was wondering, did you have to flash the ECU before the test drives in this video? You didn't say anything about that. The reason I ask is, I swapped rear axle ratios on my 2016 GT and the car would not take full throttle until after I let the ECU know what the new rear ratios were. It was driveable with light throttle applications, but if I showered down on it, it wouldn't respond at all. It would just sit there, certainly not respond the way your car did in the video.
