Absolutely if you're just trying to control let's say the Samsung TV and so on but having one remote controlling your TV your Nvidia shield your soundbar your Xbox is hard to find we single app that will do all of those for you especially if your system requires an actual IR receiver. Thanks for checking it out
Peel used to be awesome. Back when most phones had an IR emitter. But universal remote apps lost their functionality when phone manufacturers stopped including IR.
Great review, TK. Now that Logitech Harmony remotes aren't being supported anymore, how well would you say this remote stacks up to Logitech's offerings? And how do you directly input channel numbers, for example? Do you have to scroll up and down through all the numbers to select the channel you want?
Thank you very much, yes if you're using the remote a quick scroll click scroll click allows you to input the channel that you want to go to, and if you're using the app on the phone then obviously you just type in the channel. Comparing this to the Logitech Harmony option this is definitely a good option going forward. I wished we had a dial pad on the bottom but they've kept it simple the drug dial is very responsive and the UI elements are easy to set up
@@jss8617 I understand that this thread is slightly outdated, but the concept of considering something as "supported" when Logitech has no interest in manufacturing the remotes is likely to result in a situation where they will undoubtedly delay shutting down those cloud servers for another 1-2 years. The expenses related to server upkeep and the incorporation of new equipment imply that maintaining the legacy servers online in the cloud will be a financial loss. Moreover, the maintenance itself will consume a significant amount of time.
I hope that it will compete or even come close to the competition of logitech harmony, Logtech has suspended the project and I hope that someone will be there to replace them
The design can definitely use some update I feel like the u1 maybe looks a little bit better the focus on this one is directed at the display and the customizations that you can do with using the hub. It's definitely exciting to what they can provide and what they can do with this type of hardware
I'm not going to buy this because it lacks the IR blaster. I think the company removed the IR blaster and added the hub to increase the overall cost. I don't like hubs. If they add the IR blaster, remove the hub and decrease the price I'll consider buying it. I just emailed the company telling them the same thing.
You talk so fast it is nearly impossible to follow along with you. You have a lot to show but I learned zero without having to continually pause and replay.
Can you program a sequence of devices like by pressing one button it would turn the tv, then the cable box and the receiver?
Got mine yesterday, everything is working great now. Just how do I set it to controle my Xbox?
If I have tvs in other rooms do I need to get a hub for each tv?
Does it work with Chromecast With Google TV?
Out of curiosity can anyone confirm this remote will work with the PS4 as a media controller?
Will the buttons wear out the same as a remote? I guess only time will tell. Planned obsolescence is still a business strategy.
in missed this video, I would think this reminds me the harmony from Logitech but maybe with more upgradability
I hope so
How do you turn on the TV if the baton is not connected through Bluetooth
Tk can't you use Peel Smart remote for cell phones to do the same thing give or take a couple functions

Is WiFi required just to use the remote, by chance?
Where can I buy the remote, I can't find it anywhere.
it's a closed kickstarter project, you cannot buy one for the moment
4 months later and I saw a few on eBay
Great info and review as always.👍
Does it have IR so I can control my AC?

Harmony remotes are still supported, theyre just not making new ones.

Very interesting product. Hope it does well so we see a second gen. Great review TK 😎👍
Thanks man, hope your day went well
Had a good day yesterday, was daddy daughter day. Hope you are well? Can't wait for your pixel content, 20 days until it's in my hands hopefully 😀👍
Excellent review! Very clear info. I appreciate it. Thanks.

A long time ago this would have been nice. But with a screen in each room with multiple smart devices, voice command is much easier.
