Do you remember in one episode on the housewives, where her therapist said that she needed to have empathy and her response was “how do I get that?” She does not have empathy for anyone. That question, to her therapist, spoke volumes.
i don't see indifference at all. She's facing the victims of her husband and the disgusting acts HE was responsible for. He's not there meeting the victims. He's not facing them at all. Imagine facing what you anticipate as being a firing squad...how would you act? How should she be acting? if she came in all smiles and acted familiar with them, that would be seen as fake. And it would have been. I think she acted as anyone would when you find out all of the horrible things your husband did and are being blamed for. Put yourself in her shoes for even a second. Give me a break.

It’s been proven that Erika never had anything to do with Erika and she didn’t know his finances. She had her own issues with him and his ruthlessness and cheating. I always wondered why the other housewives didn’t donate money to the victims since they had plenty of money where Erika didn’t have anything and was barely making it.

To answer your question Erika, "You spent our money on your glam squad, your extravagant lifestyle and jewellery. Even if you didn't know, you should at least show some empathy, compassion and try to make amends. For a start, give the earrings back. As Cathy Hilton said, "it's not your money".
I would bet if you were in her shoes things would look SO different. It's So easy to sit in a chair and watch TV and make comments when you have No idea about legal issues. When she said she cared about nobody but herself she was CLAWING her way out of a legal issue that could have sent her to prison for something she had no involvement in, AKA she didn't work at the firm. She WAS fighting for freedom and survival.

Her husband had a car accident/drove off the road (there’s a video people made of the road) and her son had a car accident because of snow (there were reports that day of snow and car accidents in California)

She definitely benefited, doubtful she had any say so or understanding of the internal workings of the law firm given he was Well Established when she married him. Tom only shared what he felt necessary at his discretion. Those that should be held accountable are all involved in the firm day to day operation, without their help he couldn’t have done what he done, plus all the Judges & attorneys that Turned A Blind Eye to his corrupt business practices. It bothers me so much that she doesnt realize that in RHOBH the women simply thought she should give back the money from the earrings to the victims and show some compassion and empathy NOT that she was guilty of her husbands criminal activity. If i was married to someone for 20 years and they turned out to be scamming people and worse i could never just sit on the sideline and watch the victims suffer. Her response to this is, and has always been, cold and selfish. I knew someone who worked at Tom Girardi's law firm as a paralegal. Long before any scandals became public, this person shared that his law firm was shady. She wasn't able to put into words exactly why she felt that way, but it was a strong and persistent impression she often brought it up. Maybe his wife really had her head in the sand, but it seems like Girardi's overall shadiness was hard to miss.
Man…corruption, lies and greed have aged Erika significantly.

Not true. If you have ever been in a lawsuit you would understand how horribly dirty the other side gets. Her defensiveness is in response to being ganged up on by the public, her friends, and the other legal team. It is horrible that it seems she has no sympathy for the victims, but she felt like she was fighting for her life. This youtube video is only showing the worst moments of her life. And of course, being a legal battle, there was not a lot she could say in her defense on the show.
That being said I have no idea if she was guilty of knowing what her husband was doing or not, but you definitely cannot judge it by her degree of defensiveness.

If what they are accusing him of is true, there could possibly be even more people he swindled and none of that is of Erika’s making: I dont think you understand who and what Tom Girardi was and is and the amount of power and influence he wielded, he didn’t have to use Erika to do whatever it is he wanted to do
