Awesome show, lads, this is funnier stuff than any contrived Netflix comedy special AND bloody informative to boot. You boys are bloody entertaining, Kitsy (sic) is the gentlest looking front rower I’ve ever seen on one of these YT rugger shows!
This is the my opinion as well.. sacha played and won against NZ but with a bullish pack.. Sititi had a thriller of a breakout in a extremely tough pressure.. PSDT had by far the best season for SA he was everywhere.. next would be Ox then cheslin.. Etzebeth really didnt have that great year last year he was the best
Very interesting hearing their comments on Irish rugby. Of course, in the professional game so many Springboks and other South Africans have played for provinces, it is to be expected they have a lot of knowledge of it.
With out any doubt, you have 3 super stars nominated for WP of 2024, but it will be the "Magic" of Cheslin Kolbe that takes the top prize. So congratulations to him and his family from NZ.
Travesty if Cheslin beats out PSDT with a few highlight reels. PSDT man of the match efforts all year, amazing year far better than his 2019 when he won it.
I've just realised --- Maritzburg College had someone in every World Cup winning squad 🙂 - Only three people in total mind --- Stansky, James and Kriel
Peter-Steph has been more influential to the Boks in my opinion. When he is not on the field, we lose an energy and intensity that no one else can replace. Kolbe has been phenomenal and Eben always great, I just think PSDT has been more important to us and this year
And! To me they didn't include the final in last year's voting, and he was instrumental so this "year" should start with the WC final. That edges PSDT ahead even if it was close before.
Cheslin in the running for the greatest rugby player of all time.Have no weaknesses, great on attack and defence.Could maybe be equalled, but not bettered.
Schalk is very good but my surprise is how good Shummie is, sure pays to have played game at this level, they just read the play excellently, and identify weaknesses.
Kolbe has been brilliant. Insane finishing and balance, fantastic in the air for someone shorter, aggressive and powerful in contact, and a good boot. He's very good PSDT - what else is there to say about the man. A complete machine. But my vote goes to Even Etzbeth. He is at the coalface every game. Even in a monster pack, he is such a ballast - powerful, strong, and industrious. He is underrated at the lineout, very good lineout forward. But he has added to his game - he's very good disrupting kickoff and puts so much pressure on kickers. It's easier to shine when you are flashy with the ball. Etzebeth's is great with the ball but he is absolutely a game-winner because of his work off the ball. I hope we recognise such players more.
Hey guys don’t you think the fact that our team has changed from week to week and some of the guys haven’t played for a few weeks made the game much easier for England than it should have been
Ja. Let’s not BS ourselves the Bok forwards looked shaky. I would love to see Schalk, Victor, Kittsie spending time with the team. To me lineouts and now even the scrum looking wobbly. Steenkamp being so tall has a long way to go scrumming wise. I really hope Rassie reaches out to the veteran players. If we want to beat NZ in NZ next year, there will have to be a dramatic improvement. Asseblief Rassie settle on a team.
Sacha is amazing but Satiti deserves the Breakthrough POTY for sure. For World POTY, it's gotta be a toss up between PSDT and Cheslin, won't be disappointed if either of them get it.
Would be a shame for Etzebeth and Kolbe to go their careers without winning player of the year. But it's gotta be PSDT ...again The guy is just a machine.
It is almost as if the Boks do not want to peak until the next world cup, and yet they are winning. Not sure however if they can do this next year against the French...
Kolbe deserve it this time. Peter and eben are exceptional but kolbe is little bit ahead of them. Humble and even when benched when he gets back he makes huge different
Irish players didn't even celebrate after that robbery. They knew the officials helped them all the way through. Argentina is a better rugby team than Ireland and should be 3rd in the world rankings.
Got a question for you boys. How do you fit in Jonah Lomu as a winger in today's game among the likes of Kolbe, Arendse, Penaud, Jordan, Bielle-Biarrey and so on. Would he still dominate just as much? Would he be a 'wrong fit'? Maybe only 'good' or to full potential in some teams? And in the other direction, how would the current guys do in Lomu's era? Obviously Lomu is considered the greatest or at least one of the greatest ever, but well, he played some time ago. So maybe you guys have more of an idea. Keep up the great work! 🤘🏼
he would still be a great, there are plenty of powerfull wingers out there, van de merver, penaud is actually closer in size to lomu, all though he doesnt look like it. but he would be in the leading pack of world class wingers, instead of been out on his own
If he had come up through the same systems as today's players, he would still just have had the genetics to dominate all others. At his peak, the others mentioned are better, but if they all had the same upbringing and experience, he would still probably be the best.
I get your point but i still think we have plenty of honegrown talent for these positions henshaw, Osborne, nash, casey and more young players in leinster. I think people exaggerate irelands reliance on foreign players most of the extended squad is irish.
Why bring this up when it wasn't even spoken about.Manie is a great talent , he was not his as best on Saturday. When Sacha returns from injury i think he and Pollard are Rassies first choices.Manie will only play if Sacha plays at centre or fullback, which i think we already have world class players in those positions.
Manie doesn't have the composure for pressure situations. And that's his norm. So tired of this notion that he's having "an off day". He has shockers as a regular. Ask yourself a question: has he ever stepped up and WON a team a game? No.
@@andremaube5069 he's a scrum half. Every scrummie on the planet is more involved in their teams' game plans than any other player on the pitch except for maybe the 10...you can't hold that against Kolbe, he plays in a position that relies on other players to get the ball to him (and yet still manages to get involved, if the ball isn't coming to him), whereas Dupont gets so many touches and chances to influence the game, just like every scrum half does.
