I think Gareth Coker did a really good job. If you've ever heard the soundtracks to tumble or glide, as well as certain battle mode soundtracks, they sound very blocky. Aside from those ones are the tracks for dlcs like the mythology ones. Those tracks may not sound quite so "blocky" but they do sound like the theme of the map theyre assigned to. Gareth Coker really understood what Minecraft should sound like in my opinion

I went digging into the music bank file of Minecraft story mode. The suspense and the fighting upbeats are so amazing and clever. Theirs a lot of great soundtracks in this game that should reach out farther. Hell, this game and its sequel was perfect by itself.

They own the title of Minecraft, so they probably rightfully owned Minecraft: story mode. If Mojang ever does consider remastering Minecraft story mode, it may not be the same as we’ve seen it now.
