I genuinely think loki is stuck there holding everything together.....forever, he has accepted the burden, he has accepted his position and what type of god he needs to be for everyone
loki has become infinitely powerful, it really would have to boil down to him having to be put against someone else infinitely powerful too, which i think was the plan with Kang. loki can literally control time and reality, can destroy entire universes at will. honestly they probably won't be able to use him anymore and it make sense.
I look at that face in the final scene, and I see a face filled with "Brotherly Love", a "Watcher", of sorts. The question then becomes "Can he be everywhere all the time?"
Sadly only loki and his brother has kept me intrested in marvel for a long time now. What a crazy awesome finale episode one of the best episodes of tv I've ever seen.
This entire series just further justifies why Loki has been my favorite character in Norse mythology, Marvel comics & MCU (even back when he was a villain)! Tom Hiddleston has definitely solidified my passion for the character.

@@KayyyRae this was explained, before odin died, he effectively transformed loki into a permanent asgardian, so his natural state is "human" looking now.
The ending left me looking at Loki like I’ve never have before. We learn in Thor Ragnarok how good Loki can be, but here we see him sacrifice himself for all of time. He deserves better but if this is his end, I guess he truly got his fate. I love this version of Loki and he needs a reunion with Thor
I don't want them to make this a Loki rescue mission, but a Thor's Loki rescue mission. Thor doesn't need to join in the war. He had his side quest in infinity war and that was fantastic, so make this whole mission just about him and his brother. We need more Thor Loki moments
I'd love to see Thor struggle against some crazy foe and then see Loki float past him against said Foe with Thor making some kind of remark about how Loki's become everything Thor had ever hoped
Do you think this version of Loki can duplication cast himself onto every single timeline? If so, maybe that's how he recruits heroes for the multiverse avengers/secret wars. Basically force ghosting himself everywhere.
Loki can control time so he may created time stone which is similar to his powers as green colour matches. May be some how infinity stones has back story or links to gods who created in first place.
I kind of want to see Loki interact with The Watcher. Loki is the God of Stories now, and The Watcher loves and protects all the various stories of the multiverse.

It would be awesome if in the future sylvie finds Thor and tells him what Loki has done and eventually lead them to cross paths with Loki down the line would be nice, even if for only a scene it would be amazing
I took the “I know what kind of God I need to be, for you, for all of us,” as a sort of a breaking the fourth wall thing. I felt like he was talking to me. In that moment he gained a seat at the throne of my favorite Marvel Hero.
Loki will come back as a hybrid of Avenger Prime/Loki god of stories, pulling a multiversal avenger team together. Even if he didn’t leave the chair he could still probably project his power and image into any reality.
All I'd need from God Loki is a little cameo where Thor gets to see how far Loki has come, it would be a really sweet moment, especially if Thor's daughter is there. Both brothers seeing how far the other has come
The full commitment Loki took in the finale is just surprising but satisfying for the character. So I hope we will see him again in the MCU when we get to Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars cause he and the TVA need to give the Avengers the roadmap for how they'll defeat the Kangs throughout the Multiverse.

In the finale he is also chained, presumably until he needs to fight for reality, which would be the Norse ragnarok, but marvels next conclusive epic film. Loki is capable of creating multiples of himself. Perhaps he's powered up so he can create avatars. And sort of like a Hindu or omnipotent Judeo-Christian God, he can be everywhere yet would not never need to leave his thrown/responsibilites.
I'm most likely not the first to point this out since the episode came out. But isn't funny that a Loki is fated to walk up stairs to not be seen after. Think about it. Atreus aka Loki from God of War Ragnarok ends his part in the game by saying goodbye to his friends and family and walks up stairs not to be seen again. Well to us as audiences seeing a Loki so far after walking up stairs not knowing what happens next.
Also, he fell off the bifrost bridge in Thor but this time he created the steps at the end of this bridge and up to a throne (or as I see it, a prison)
the tree is one of many multiverse trees in the omniverse forest. the omniverse forest sits on an island surrounded by the unknown ocean of the greater fractalverse. Once Loki makes a forest, his tree will be fine without him.
he will at some point just use the main timeline as a belt for the tree so he is free to leave or will trick the kangs into doing this for him. just hope we do not loose this character to a tree :D
Do you guys think that anyone outside of the TVA knows that Loki had to sacrifice himself for us so we can live? My uncle said that in the old cartoons this also happened and the only way he was able to break free was if someone cried for him but no one does cause they all remember the bad Loki.
I think the next time we see Loki will be in the next Thor film. The only reaction I want to see from Thor right out the gate, is him slowly approaching Loki with tears and a smile of happiness as it slowly transitions to him choking Loki with a sinister smile on his face. Bringing up the "many times" he's had to watch his brother die. That will be the love between two brothers I wish I had. Loki may be sitting in the chair, but he can still imprint his presence anywhere on the time line he chooses.
Actually i have been wondering about this, so Loki S2 finale made it look like the Branches that overloaded the Temporal Loom was caused because Sylvie killed He Who Remains, but that is not true, as we all remember in S1 finale, the timelines started to branch automatically after He Who Remains said "We Just Crossed.....the Threshold", Sylvie's action never caused timeline to branch nor overloading the Loom, or thats atleast i could work it out
Nah, Thor will visit him during the Multiversal War, and he will give them knowledge they need to fight Kang/Doom, but Loki is, and shall always be, He Who Remains.
Loki is now "literally" touching every timeline, and all of reality. How can he NOT be apart of the upcoming Marvel projects? There might not be Loki Season 3, but Loki will definitely be back...
I think he wouldn't need to leave the chair at all! He can create projections of himself in ANY universe now... imagine a moment where the fate of the multiverse is at stake and the Avengers can't get it together... then here comes big G Loki, full-on controlling time and advising whoever is leading the Avengers (hope Thor without Taika) on how to defeat Dr. Doom
I think trying to bring down this version of Loki because he’s from the first avengers makes no sense. He went through centuries of time to learn how to fix it. This version of Loki is greater than any we have seen. This Loki has the ability to grow far more powerful than anyone we’ve seen and he will be back
Surely Loki can project himself into the different timelines- so he can physically stay holding the timelines but also pop up and join in with other events with his projection power.
I was gonna say unless we revert to Loki series version of Avengers, the main timeline where he’s dead no one would know to look for him. Since marvel may bring us back to a timeline where all avengers are alive and well or didn’t have to go through the Thanos events then maybe that’s a way to reunite Thor and Loki, and Thor could see how much his brother has grown up in just 2 seasons and centuries
I hope Loki kinda takes up Nick fury’s role from Avengers 1 recruiting his avengers of the multiverse for secret wars or atleast finds Thor to warn him to get ready for secret wars
I think Loki would eventually build a citadel and some sort of device to hold all the branches in place at the end of time like the one He who remains used to have. Also i think that as He who remains is gone and there is no variant of Kang at the end of time, the council of kangs would plot to overthrow Loki and take back their place, we will get to see Kangs fighting each other and with our superheroes defending Loki’s throne thus begins the Multiversal War!

I hope Heimdal somehow saw, although tht might be impossible, and told Odin and Frigga
I would imagine only the gods, eternals, and celestials know for sure or maybe even Doctor Strange knows.
For us? So *we* can live?
Thor loves Loki. He will cry for him (in both happiness and sadness) when he finds out what he’s done.
His power of projection should allow him to be places
I think Tony Stark played by RDJ is going to be the one who proposes a solution for saving Loki
Loki could be stuck there for MILLIONS of years… because time is different for him- it’ll only seem like a short time for us when he returns.
Actually i have been wondering about this, so Loki S2 finale made it look like the Branches that overloaded the Temporal Loom was caused because Sylvie killed He Who Remains, but that is not true, as we all remember in S1 finale, the timelines started to branch automatically after He Who Remains said "We Just Crossed.....the Threshold", Sylvie's action never caused timeline to branch nor overloading the Loom, or thats atleast i could work it out
He & Tony deserve that drink …
For SCIENCE dammit!😂
Secret wars should be Loki searching the multiverse for heroes just like the watcher, maybe make it a 2 part thing
What I take from this is that we will see Loki again.
Nah, Thor will visit him during the Multiversal War, and he will give them knowledge they need to fight Kang/Doom, but Loki is, and shall always be, He Who Remains.
FOR LOKI!!!!!!!!
Please let these siblings be happy I just want Loki to bond with their niece😭
Loki is now "literally" touching every timeline, and all of reality.
How can he NOT be apart of the upcoming Marvel projects?
There might not be Loki Season 3, but Loki will definitely be back...
Of course! He *always* comes back. 😉
All you need is a Temporal Loom replacement to put in place of Loki. I'm sure that OB and Victor Timely can work something out.
Doom
Ofc we'll see Loki again this one we were following is just a variant
I think trying to bring down this version of Loki because he’s from the first avengers makes no sense. He went through centuries of time to learn how to fix it. This version of Loki is greater than any we have seen. This Loki has the ability to grow far more powerful than anyone we’ve seen and he will be back
Surely Loki can project himself into the different timelines- so he can physically stay holding the timelines but also pop up and join in with other events with his projection power.
I want Loki to reunite with Thor and his friends Mobius and Sylvie.
Sylvie especially.
You knew they were in love but were never given the opportunity to just be in love.
He did project and duplicate himself and a crowd when they were after Brad … and his shadows held Brad against the wall.
I get the idea that Loki might have been the one who made it possible for the Avengers to win against Thanos
All cause of free will and stuff
No, that was the screenwriters
I'm sure that Mobius Thor and Sylvie will figure it out to save him.
2:24 I think seeing that Balder the Brave statue really struck a nerve with him.
Otaru the Watcher should take Loki's place at the end of time
