It look sweet in the evening light. When we pulled the 63 beetle out of storage me son and I talked about painting it a more vintage color. We got on Samba looked at the L324 Polar Silver. NAPA only sold it in 2 stage , had them mix a qt. to try on the engine deck lid. The before I painted the deck lid, my son asked if we could turn the 63 into Herbie the love bug, since we have Nascar Herbie. Dad agree and my son already procure the decal kit. I really like that Polar silver I may try it on my 13 window bus the top a creamy white and the bottom polar silver. Had no idea that it was the color of goose. I guess that explains why we love the way your car looks.
My bug is a 57.the ragtop looks to be the 56 style with square edges in back a rounded corners in front.i heard that 57 bugs could actually be built from left over 56 shells?when I went to order a ragtop vinyl jbugs offered 3 different ragtop shapes for 57s...
Yes this is true for late 56 and 57... mine is an early 56 with the square back that I had to cut to the correct length myself. Needless to say I ended up ordering a 2nd top from Wolfsburg West.
How did you replace your passenger side door hinge pin with mirror? I have a 64 that I am working on and have a passenger side mirror but looks like I have to buy a special tour. Really don’t want to screw up my paint because it’s pretty good. Any suggestions? Love your interior by the way and that’s the route I’m going.
Yup your going to want to pick up a hinge pin removal tool to press it out... this is the best way. You can then replace the pin with one that will accept the mirror. The tool can be purchased from this fella: facebook.com/pg/VWhingepintool/posts/ Replacement door pin for mirror: www.jbugs.com/product/111857514.html
Hi, Would you happen to remember the color reference of your Red interior from SewFine? I'm looking for something similar for my '59, could it be their Cali Ultra Vynil "Poppy"? Thank you!
Oval rags are really cool like yours
Thanks Mike!! I love Goose, she is my lady!

Hey Jason those are some of the best looking covers I have seen , are they a standard cover or an upgraded version?
Not standard, I had them made by Sewfine... a little $$ but well worth it.
