    A decade ago, I had severe insomnia. This woman saved my sleep, and forever helped me. I wanted to lucid dream and also sleep well last night, and remembered her videos. I'm so glad she left her videos up, even though she hasn't posted in years. Wherever you are, Jody, we hope you are doing well. 💓

    I have been lucid dreaming my entire life. I don't think I have not and was surprised when I was 8 years old to learn most can't control their dreams. Jodi does not blather as one stated. The negative attitude and anger probably why it's not working. If you can't relax and imagine scenarios because if all the negative thoughts you will never lucid dream. It takes the ability to shut the mind up and then tell it what to see and think. Control it don't let it control you.

    Im going to start listening to your audios regularly again. When i listened to them before going to bed around the same time i felt more relaxed and happier. Now Im worse again, I suffer from sleep depiration, depression, panic syndrome, anxiety, agoraphobia and borderline. Listened to this before going to bed last night and i dont feel as anxious as the day before.
    Thanks for doing what you do, Im so happy that i found your channel!

    finally worked; thanks for the better audio! but this was less like a dream, more like watching aND vivid 3d film, because i was so lucid and so detached from the surroundings. I felt my body as it really was, in my bed.

    I had a 'blackout' just after you said lie on your back... and when I woke it was at the point where you were talking about flying through the solar system so I missed the bit where you said turn over, so I stayed on my back. I also had sleep paralysis but it was the best sleep paralysis I've ever had. It felt like I was in a firework and I saw bright flashes and colours everywhere and I was flying through the air. It was great!! Thanks

    That was really trippy! I lost consciousness around 45 minutes in, then I came back at the end of the video when you were counting down from... 24? I can't remember since I came to when you were at 7. It seemed like you were counting way faster now that I listen to it while I'm fully awake.
    Anyway, the moment you said "goodnight", that's when it really hit. It's like someone snapped their fingers and immediately I felt my body become twice as heavy. Everything started swirling and tumbling around. I felt like I was sweating profusely (though when I moved a little later after this experience I was completely dry). And that's when I started seeing colorful lights in the distance. They were like police lights, and I could make out the silhouette of a cartoon-y man in them.
    I knew what was going on; hypnagogic imagery! The beginning of a WILD! I had tried to induce it many times before with no results, and now here I was! But this was my very first time experiencing it all and I got a little too excited. My heart was beating super fast despite my breathing never changing and my eyelids were twitching uncontrollably. It was unfortunate but after the first few lights flashed across my vision, I was knocked back awake.
    I failed to get a lucid dream, but that was as far as I've ever gotten to inducing a WILD so I consider this a success either way! I'll be sure to try it again soon!

    I know this video is older, but I really gotta say. People really underestimate the power they have over their brain. Thinking positive thoughts and being educated in Lucid Dreaming is a great thing. Some people should really open their minds a little, it’s not going to hurt you in most cases, also knowing to think positive thoughts helps you have a good experience. Lucid dreaming IS a wonderful thing if you want it to be.

    The other day, I have no idea if I was dreaming or awake or had sleep paralysis or what. I've never successfully been able to dream lucidly. That morning, some minutes before I woke up I was lying in bed and trying to wake up. I was thinking clearly about how I have been listening to these vids and trying to learn lucid dreaming, and how I was afraid of getting sleep paralysis because of how terrifying I know it's supposed to be. Then I was wondering if I was lucid dreaming, and if I was having sleep paralysis. I have no idea if I was awake or dreaming at that point, but my thinking was very similar to the way it is when I'm awake. I don't know if my eyes were open, but I saw my room the way I would if I was just lying in bed awake. I was trying to figure out if I was in sleep paralysis, but I wasn't terrified like you're supposed to be. I couldn't move, but that could be because I was dreaming and aware that you're not supposed to be able to move in sleep paralysis, and maybe I was just emulating that situation in my dream. I tried screaming out, and I heard my voice coming out like a low muffle, and my dad rushed toward me, but I don't live with my dad, so it had to be a dream. Then I decided I must be lucid dreaming, and I kept trying to think of hot guys being there, but no matter how much I wished for that, it didn't happen! So I have no idea what was going on.

    I don't comment often, but I saw your other video today about the original of this one being taken down. I have no idea why this one has so many scaredy cats commenting, and I don't see similar comments on the place where the original was posted. Those original comments were very positive. I've been doing this kind of dreaming since my 20s but due to recent years of insomnia, I'm just lucky if I can sleep 4 hours with a pill. So I used this video today on my tablet with earphones. My tablet doesn't go into autoplay thank goodness. It's a problem I have with Roku youtube. IT WAS WONDERFUL! I actually had a very nice lucid dream that included my father who's been gone 25 years. (He was going to buy some candy while a young man and his little boy were waiting with me for a movie to begin, so I didn't actually see my father.) I didn't control this dream and it had more parts but it was very vivid. The boy I didn't know was cuddled up against me. It was just very sweet. The surroundings were beautiful. I only slept the length of your video but this was my nap and I woke up so well rested. Thank you for your channel. Like some other comments say, I don't need so much explanation of lucid dreaming. I skipped the first 17 minutes after listening a bit. Maybe that part could be cut. I've had instances of paralysis in the past when I see my room, think I'm awake but realize something is different. The best advice to people in my opinion, is to not panic and try to wake. instead realize you're just dreaming and take control of the dream and have fun. I used to make myself fly over my city when this occurred. I considered it a gift. Thanks again, your voice is perfect for this.

    I remember practicing lucid dreaming when I was about 9-10-11 yo. Then, I had a nightmare and what some might call a demon pulled me in the side room and told me to cut it out. I used it in high school and imagined I affect other people's (girls) dreams. This seemed to work. I can insinuate myself but it is not always welcomed. You do nor make these claims. I don't it is possible, yet I have been doing this for 50 years. I read Don Juan's training of Castenada. You are probably familiar. He uses the hands (am I dreaming) trigger.
    I can fly, visit with dead friends and experience most anything.
    Two problems. I will awake if I start to lose control of the dream and if I want to make sure I remember something, I will wake to make sure it does not disappear.
    I have stopped trying to influence others dreams as I don't think it is ethical and I am sure it is not possible to direct them.
    I just do not do that anymore and I do not think it is real.
    Plus I got this angry phone call...
    Thank you Jodi...

      ***** Obviously, sleep paralysis is natural and so it can be stopped by natural means. Try imagining a strong electrocution to part of your body (start small e.g. arm, finger) try imagining that this shock is actually causing you pain, as the goal here is to trigger your flinch reaction. Moving just a tiny part of your body can help clear the paralysing chemical, and can do so in a chain-reaction manner. You should quickly feel the arm you moved come out of the paralysed state, which you can then use to wake up the rest of your body if it does not do so immidiately

    • @DeeJayP4L
      @DeeJayP4L 9 років тому

      ***** Yes, same here. sleep paralysis is horrible.....That moment right before you hit the full sleep state, but something triggers your brain activity waking up the brain once the chemical that our brains release to paralyze our bodies during the sleep state has been released, you then get caught in between.....It always is a panic, but now that you've been able to lucid dream predominantly, do you instantly become aware when you're caught in SP? Then like you said, you will wake yourself, wait, then go back to sleep to surpass the SP....I've attempted staying calm in the SP states, but it's verrrry hard for me personally because I always tend to feel that I'm beginning to suffocate...Hit me back...I'm in Analytical Psychology and Dream Psychology with Pharmacological influence/Substance psychology. I'd love to talk with others that experiment with the limits of their dream states...

    So the other night I had a lucid dream listening to this. I was asked a question (by Spirit I imagine) that I responded to by showing a picture. The thing is that my picture was blurry though I knew what is was as I was trying to relay it.
    Anyone have this happen? I think doubt of really being able to manifest thirst thing got in my way. I’ve also touched into the power of this and as some have mentioned, it can be scary to see how thin the line is between us and communicating with the energy that creates (us and everything). 😊 Good Night!🌙💤

    I love your videos. I think i posted on another one of your vids. My gf and i fall asleep to your videos every night. We mostly listen to the lucid ones and the bedtime story ones. I would like if you made another story one. This comment is long but i just had to say.

    When she was listing body parts and stuff, holy shit, I felt as if my whole body was shaking but then floating at the same time. I think I need more practice because external noise stops my concentration and relaxation. Then I felt an itch in my head but tried really hard to ignore it, when I did that, it felt as if the itch was swelling. Like, it also felt like a rat was biting onto it which completely threw me off and made me open my eyes. I need to practice this more. I'll save this link up. This is the only hypnosis video that actually made me feel something.

    Is sleeping on your back necessary for a lucid dream to occur? I usually sleep in the fetal position, so I found lying on my back made it harder to go deeper into sleep. I do occasionally lay on my stomach, would that be an alternative?

    Hi Jody! I appreciate the videos you do and listen most nights. I am wondering if you are interested in making a sleep hypnosis to help with nausea and vomiting in pregnancy and for more energy the next day? If you could that would help me so much as I am not getting much relief other ways I have tried so far.

    Sleep paralysis happened to me twice in my lifetime and once to my mother when she was a teenager she thought it was a ghost or whatever but after reading up on it through a scientific point of view turns out sleep paralysis is a defence mechanism we use when we dream so we don't try to act out our dream physically.

    • @bennnnnnnnnnnnn0
      @bennnnnnnnnnnnn0 10 років тому +3

      yeah, technically you can do anything whilst dreaming, often when you dream about lucid dreaming it can turn into an actual lucid dream. The hard part is not waking up when you realise you're dreaming

    For those of you who got annoyed with her voice: It is not her voice that really matters but the frequency. There is that ringing sound that somehow makes your inner ear "vibrate". Try to concentrate on that. I say this because English is not my mother tongue still after a short time of listening to it made me dizzy and my head hurt. Maybe I am just too sensitive to sounds.

    +Jody Whiteley Last night I had a go at lucid dreaming. I was in the process of making my body falling asleep but suddenly I started seeing images (everything was brown). I also saw a road and a womens face or something then a few seconds later my body started feeling heavy. I woked up because I wasnt sure if I was doing it right but was I doing it correctly???

    When you told me to lye completely still, about halfway though my body felt very stiff and I felt paralyzed, Although I was completely aware of everything that was happening. For some reason it started to frighten me. Then I heard the banging noise which I would describe as a giant man stomping through my house, getting closer and closer with each second. Then the noise stopped and the only thing I could really focus on was the fact that I really wanted to move, so towards the ending I finally caved in and I moved. And when I did I felt so much better, it was like I hadn't moved for over a year and finally had the ability to.

      Sodbaatar Batkhishig They're not bad or scary things... she even says it's totally normal. She mentioned it so that you wouldn't be frightened if that happened to you. They're mostly meaningless visual hallucinations like lights or geometric patterns, not scary images.

    Jody, I just listened to the original of this and this one seems much better. i mean the audio quality. The other one seems like your in a tunnel. This is the one that helped me sleep and dream today so I'm saving this version. Did you change microphones or is this a copy that's been technically improved. I assume this one is completely new since the time is different. Thanks

    i'm way to scared... What if i have a nightmare? I mean, sure, it'd be nice to see my lost family members but i get scared really easily. I have never had a lucid dream in my life but I think id be dangerous to other people. My sister and I share a room and she says sometimes i'll sit up straight in bed looking at nothing (eyes open) and say a few words or something unusual than i'll go back to sleep, and once me and my mom had to share a bed and she was moving her pillow and she said i opened my eyes and said "MY PiLlow" than closed my eyes again, this doesn't happen often but i'm really scared of myself
