A decade ago, I had severe insomnia. This woman saved my sleep, and forever helped me. I wanted to lucid dream and also sleep well last night, and remembered her videos. I'm so glad she left her videos up, even though she hasn't posted in years. Wherever you are, Jody, we hope you are doing well. 💓
Man, I still come back to this after 7 years. I really don’t think anyone else on UA-cam has quality content like this channel. I really hope Jody is still making her own recordings nowadays.
Jodie's voice helped me through my darkest moments and assisted me in sleeping when grief consumed my every breath. You helped guide me and taught me to recognise the breath as my own once more. Thank-you Jodie, sincerely.
I have been lucid dreaming my entire life. I don't think I have not and was surprised when I was 8 years old to learn most can't control their dreams. Jodi does not blather as one stated. The negative attitude and anger probably why it's not working. If you can't relax and imagine scenarios because if all the negative thoughts you will never lucid dream. It takes the ability to shut the mind up and then tell it what to see and think. Control it don't let it control you.
Worked for me. If feels like I'm psychic now, I had a lucid dream listening to this; this morning and it came true! I'm happy for the ability to be able to connect. Thank you Jody!!!
Im going to start listening to your audios regularly again. When i listened to them before going to bed around the same time i felt more relaxed and happier. Now Im worse again, I suffer from sleep depiration, depression, panic syndrome, anxiety, agoraphobia and borderline. Listened to this before going to bed last night and i dont feel as anxious as the day before. Thanks for doing what you do, Im so happy that i found your channel!
finally worked; thanks for the better audio! but this was less like a dream, more like watching aND vivid 3d film, because i was so lucid and so detached from the surroundings. I felt my body as it really was, in my bed.
I had a 'blackout' just after you said lie on your back... and when I woke it was at the point where you were talking about flying through the solar system so I missed the bit where you said turn over, so I stayed on my back. I also had sleep paralysis but it was the best sleep paralysis I've ever had. It felt like I was in a firework and I saw bright flashes and colours everywhere and I was flying through the air. It was great!! Thanks
That was really trippy! I lost consciousness around 45 minutes in, then I came back at the end of the video when you were counting down from... 24? I can't remember since I came to when you were at 7. It seemed like you were counting way faster now that I listen to it while I'm fully awake. Anyway, the moment you said "goodnight", that's when it really hit. It's like someone snapped their fingers and immediately I felt my body become twice as heavy. Everything started swirling and tumbling around. I felt like I was sweating profusely (though when I moved a little later after this experience I was completely dry). And that's when I started seeing colorful lights in the distance. They were like police lights, and I could make out the silhouette of a cartoon-y man in them. I knew what was going on; hypnagogic imagery! The beginning of a WILD! I had tried to induce it many times before with no results, and now here I was! But this was my very first time experiencing it all and I got a little too excited. My heart was beating super fast despite my breathing never changing and my eyelids were twitching uncontrollably. It was unfortunate but after the first few lights flashed across my vision, I was knocked back awake. I failed to get a lucid dream, but that was as far as I've ever gotten to inducing a WILD so I consider this a success either way! I'll be sure to try it again soon!
My mom told me she had these kinds of dreams but I didn't believe her I thought she had made it up when I was in my teens but omg I believe her as of yesterday morning thank you I have watched plenty of your relaxation videos but my mind was blown away by my lucid dream. Freaken awesome Jody!! ;) thank you. You have totally made a difference I'm my life I'm sure with others as well.
I was just checking out lucid dreaming videos and found this one, I fast forwarded to the middle just to check it out. 4 hours later I woke up from my desk, I fell asleep almost instantly. These videos really work!
Woo hooo that was a great lucid dream! Me and Vincent D Onofrio from Law and Order criminal intent got together and um lets just say i was the pony he never got for Xmas! Lol...i haven't watched that show in ages so i don't know why he popped up ( lol ) but i am glad he did. Lucid dreams can be fun. I've been astral projecting and lucid dreaming for 15 + yrs. Nothing to worry about.
I totally agree. UA-cam always calls it lucid dreaming, but I think Astral projection is a much better descriptive term specially if you can control where you're going and what you're doing.
I've been scared to do this since I read a scary story about someone who woke up in sleep paralysis and had a heart attack because she was scared. and I've been really scared I'll get nightmares pls answer me if I should do it or not thank you
I fell asleep almost straight away and woke up almost at the end, at first I forgot what I was listening to and it took a while for me to remeber and realise. Nice experience, can't explain it
Jody!! I had a lucid dream!!! It was so fun! I remembered that you said to stay calm when you realize "I must be dreaming" yay!! and I remembered you said I could do anything I want! It was really really fun!!! I can't wait to go to bed tonight and try it again!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I know this video is older, but I really gotta say. People really underestimate the power they have over their brain. Thinking positive thoughts and being educated in Lucid Dreaming is a great thing. Some people should really open their minds a little, it’s not going to hurt you in most cases, also knowing to think positive thoughts helps you have a good experience. Lucid dreaming IS a wonderful thing if you want it to be.
I just got my license as a hypnotherapist, thank you Jody. You are the reason i decided to quit my job as a paramedic and try this new adventure. On that note i wanted to say thank you for helping me sleep on those horrible nights i had to deal with awful injuries etc. i was able to astral project because of you and it changed how i view my life and the world. I feel like i am making an oscar speech lol. Anyway please keep your voice the same as in the older ones. I really love it.
The other day, I have no idea if I was dreaming or awake or had sleep paralysis or what. I've never successfully been able to dream lucidly. That morning, some minutes before I woke up I was lying in bed and trying to wake up. I was thinking clearly about how I have been listening to these vids and trying to learn lucid dreaming, and how I was afraid of getting sleep paralysis because of how terrifying I know it's supposed to be. Then I was wondering if I was lucid dreaming, and if I was having sleep paralysis. I have no idea if I was awake or dreaming at that point, but my thinking was very similar to the way it is when I'm awake. I don't know if my eyes were open, but I saw my room the way I would if I was just lying in bed awake. I was trying to figure out if I was in sleep paralysis, but I wasn't terrified like you're supposed to be. I couldn't move, but that could be because I was dreaming and aware that you're not supposed to be able to move in sleep paralysis, and maybe I was just emulating that situation in my dream. I tried screaming out, and I heard my voice coming out like a low muffle, and my dad rushed toward me, but I don't live with my dad, so it had to be a dream. Then I decided I must be lucid dreaming, and I kept trying to think of hot guys being there, but no matter how much I wished for that, it didn't happen! So I have no idea what was going on.
That was amazing, Jody! You put me through the greatest visual adventure and let me experience everything while going to sleep consciously. However, much later after the video ended, my eyes started twitching rapidly and I could see stars. All of a sudden, those stars formed into my room. I heard someone yell and then I woke up out of fright. But I am very well rested. Thank you!
I haven't tried anything yet. I just recently discovered these videos exist and I remembered I used to be able to do it. I haven't been able to for years. Stress, maybe?
I don't comment often, but I saw your other video today about the original of this one being taken down. I have no idea why this one has so many scaredy cats commenting, and I don't see similar comments on the place where the original was posted. Those original comments were very positive. I've been doing this kind of dreaming since my 20s but due to recent years of insomnia, I'm just lucky if I can sleep 4 hours with a pill. So I used this video today on my tablet with earphones. My tablet doesn't go into autoplay thank goodness. It's a problem I have with Roku youtube. IT WAS WONDERFUL! I actually had a very nice lucid dream that included my father who's been gone 25 years. (He was going to buy some candy while a young man and his little boy were waiting with me for a movie to begin, so I didn't actually see my father.) I didn't control this dream and it had more parts but it was very vivid. The boy I didn't know was cuddled up against me. It was just very sweet. The surroundings were beautiful. I only slept the length of your video but this was my nap and I woke up so well rested. Thank you for your channel. Like some other comments say, I don't need so much explanation of lucid dreaming. I skipped the first 17 minutes after listening a bit. Maybe that part could be cut. I've had instances of paralysis in the past when I see my room, think I'm awake but realize something is different. The best advice to people in my opinion, is to not panic and try to wake. instead realize you're just dreaming and take control of the dream and have fun. I used to make myself fly over my city when this occurred. I considered it a gift. Thanks again, your voice is perfect for this.
***** Jody i didn't start dreaming after you said good night, how could i do this? and at one part of this video did you tell us to turn onto our side? because i think i may of did that by mistake
Dude it's all about practice and what works best for you. No offence Jody but I find listening to the intro bit doesn't work for me so I skip it. Don't worry if its not happening right now, it will!
+kyky sheer I skip the first 10 mins. also. Ive tryed them all from everyone one here an some are good some people are crap.. keep up the good work jody
I remember practicing lucid dreaming when I was about 9-10-11 yo. Then, I had a nightmare and what some might call a demon pulled me in the side room and told me to cut it out. I used it in high school and imagined I affect other people's (girls) dreams. This seemed to work. I can insinuate myself but it is not always welcomed. You do nor make these claims. I don't it is possible, yet I have been doing this for 50 years. I read Don Juan's training of Castenada. You are probably familiar. He uses the hands (am I dreaming) trigger. I can fly, visit with dead friends and experience most anything. Two problems. I will awake if I start to lose control of the dream and if I want to make sure I remember something, I will wake to make sure it does not disappear. I have stopped trying to influence others dreams as I don't think it is ethical and I am sure it is not possible to direct them. I just do not do that anymore and I do not think it is real. Plus I got this angry phone call... Thank you Jodi...
This seems like such a strange thing, the lucid dreaming...but I'm just FRIGHTENED. I want to see what it's like, but I'm afraid something could go very, mentally wrong, is possible, Jody?
***** Obviously, sleep paralysis is natural and so it can be stopped by natural means. Try imagining a strong electrocution to part of your body (start small e.g. arm, finger) try imagining that this shock is actually causing you pain, as the goal here is to trigger your flinch reaction. Moving just a tiny part of your body can help clear the paralysing chemical, and can do so in a chain-reaction manner. You should quickly feel the arm you moved come out of the paralysed state, which you can then use to wake up the rest of your body if it does not do so immidiately
***** Yes, same here. sleep paralysis is horrible.....That moment right before you hit the full sleep state, but something triggers your brain activity waking up the brain once the chemical that our brains release to paralyze our bodies during the sleep state has been released, you then get caught in between.....It always is a panic, but now that you've been able to lucid dream predominantly, do you instantly become aware when you're caught in SP? Then like you said, you will wake yourself, wait, then go back to sleep to surpass the SP....I've attempted staying calm in the SP states, but it's verrrry hard for me personally because I always tend to feel that I'm beginning to suffocate...Hit me back...I'm in Analytical Psychology and Dream Psychology with Pharmacological influence/Substance psychology. I'd love to talk with others that experiment with the limits of their dream states...
i it all throughout the vid, didnt work for me just a few conciousness snaps that lasted a min but when i gave up about 20 min afer you said goodnight i felt more relaxed then ever.
Les Anderson So normal. I teach and practice meditation. Itching is one of the ways our minds and bodies show resistance. Hope you’re relaxing better these days!
Thank you in general Jody and community. So the other night I had a lucid dream listening to this. I was asked a question (by Spirit I imagine) that I responded to by showing a picture. The thing is that my picture was blurry though I knew what is was as I was trying to relay it. Anyone have this happen? I think doubt of really being able to manifest thirst thing got in my way. I’ve also touched into the power of this and as some have mentioned, it can be scary to see how thin the line is between us and communicating with the energy that creates (us and everything). 😊 Good Night!🌙💤
I love your videos. I think i posted on another one of your vids. My gf and i fall asleep to your videos every night. We mostly listen to the lucid ones and the bedtime story ones. I would like if you made another story one. This comment is long but i just had to say.
When she was listing body parts and stuff, holy shit, I felt as if my whole body was shaking but then floating at the same time. I think I need more practice because external noise stops my concentration and relaxation. Then I felt an itch in my head but tried really hard to ignore it, when I did that, it felt as if the itch was swelling. Like, it also felt like a rat was biting onto it which completely threw me off and made me open my eyes. I need to practice this more. I'll save this link up. This is the only hypnosis video that actually made me feel something.
Is sleeping on your back necessary for a lucid dream to occur? I usually sleep in the fetal position, so I found lying on my back made it harder to go deeper into sleep. I do occasionally lay on my stomach, would that be an alternative?
Hello!! I'm a regular on your channel , I was wondering if you had any of this wonderful videos that would help with creativity? I'm a painter and I could use a little of your magic in that area!!! Thank you!!!
Hello! Please do not worry about sleep Para. It is completely normal! As long as you think happy and good thoughts. I went in to sleep para while thinking about kittens, next think you know it kittens are everywhere! best hallucination ever!
Hi Jody! I appreciate the videos you do and listen most nights. I am wondering if you are interested in making a sleep hypnosis to help with nausea and vomiting in pregnancy and for more energy the next day? If you could that would help me so much as I am not getting much relief other ways I have tried so far.
Sleep paralysis happened to me twice in my lifetime and once to my mother when she was a teenager she thought it was a ghost or whatever but after reading up on it through a scientific point of view turns out sleep paralysis is a defence mechanism we use when we dream so we don't try to act out our dream physically.
yeah, technically you can do anything whilst dreaming, often when you dream about lucid dreaming it can turn into an actual lucid dream. The hard part is not waking up when you realise you're dreaming
I was able to slip into lucid dreaming once but I didn't know I was lucid dreaming, I thought I had just woken up in the middle of the night so I just went back to bed 😂😂
Holy cow! This was my first proper Lucifer dream and ohhh my it was amazing but still so scary but i felt so calm like i was watching a horror movie but i knew it would end good sine i'm sorta the director XD but still wow its.... Like .... I'm speechless so amazing tommorow when i'm more rested i'm going to try and create a episode of dr Who with me in it... Awww Man I love your show/channel
For those of you who got annoyed with her voice: It is not her voice that really matters but the frequency. There is that ringing sound that somehow makes your inner ear "vibrate". Try to concentrate on that. I say this because English is not my mother tongue still after a short time of listening to it made me dizzy and my head hurt. Maybe I am just too sensitive to sounds.
+Jody Whiteley Last night I had a go at lucid dreaming. I was in the process of making my body falling asleep but suddenly I started seeing images (everything was brown). I also saw a road and a womens face or something then a few seconds later my body started feeling heavy. I woked up because I wasnt sure if I was doing it right but was I doing it correctly???
When you told me to lye completely still, about halfway though my body felt very stiff and I felt paralyzed, Although I was completely aware of everything that was happening. For some reason it started to frighten me. Then I heard the banging noise which I would describe as a giant man stomping through my house, getting closer and closer with each second. Then the noise stopped and the only thing I could really focus on was the fact that I really wanted to move, so towards the ending I finally caved in and I moved. And when I did I felt so much better, it was like I hadn't moved for over a year and finally had the ability to.
+Maddie Kolidas Congrats! You experienced Sleep paralaisis, One of the steps to Lucid dreaming! For some people this experience can bring hallcinations and fear but (Note i never actually hit this stage yet) Appearetly if you last long enough you hit lucid dreaming
Hi Kensington, You might take a look at this video produced by Prof. Lamb. His work is based on numerous studies - some devoted to reducing the nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy. Search UA-cam for "Why you should relax"
This girl is scaring the shit out of me. Like how the fuck am i suppose to sleep after her saying "You may experience noises, or see things you don't normally see."
Sodbaatar Batkhishig They're not bad or scary things... she even says it's totally normal. She mentioned it so that you wouldn't be frightened if that happened to you. They're mostly meaningless visual hallucinations like lights or geometric patterns, not scary images.
This only slightly worked for me once a few years ago. Once I felt myself "detaching" per se, I panicked and breathed in quickly to wake myself up. It was scary
Jody, I just listened to the original of this and this one seems much better. i mean the audio quality. The other one seems like your in a tunnel. This is the one that helped me sleep and dream today so I'm saving this version. Did you change microphones or is this a copy that's been technically improved. I assume this one is completely new since the time is different. Thanks
i'm way to scared... What if i have a nightmare? I mean, sure, it'd be nice to see my lost family members but i get scared really easily. I have never had a lucid dream in my life but I think id be dangerous to other people. My sister and I share a room and she says sometimes i'll sit up straight in bed looking at nothing (eyes open) and say a few words or something unusual than i'll go back to sleep, and once me and my mom had to share a bed and she was moving her pillow and she said i opened my eyes and said "MY PiLlow" than closed my eyes again, this doesn't happen often but i'm really scared of myself
Everyones Scared XD. Guys its meant for having control in your dream. Bronies, Furries, and many Other Fans Of THings Would love this. They COuld Freakin make a world ideal to them. Also. Ive done hypnosis before. It doesnt scream and no this doesnt Make you piss yourself or make you sleep forever
For Most people this is going to be scary beacause of they are not related or know other state/level of consiousnes than awake, drunk and stupid (last one was a joke) but seriously this is not for everybody, Personally I love it because i LOVE SUREALISM;
Well. Ive noticed i take way longer time to fall asleep when concentrating. (When i actually manage to keep it up for that long) Taken me up to 1-4 hours to actually fall asleep depending on how tired i was.
Would have enjoyed it better if my dogs didn't interrupt me halfway through. xD I actually started drifting off and began lucid dreaming (first try too). Now I am just more tired than I was before. >__

I've had a few crazy experiences with this. Probably one of the more popular topics on my channel. People are waking up to this! Great video!

Looool so good story
This works. Not every single time, but I’ve pulled it off with these videos. It’s a peculiar experience, lucid dreaming. Not for everyone I think.
This video worked masterfully. Hard to explain I knew I was dreaming but I didn't know I was asleep until I woke up. Weird but cool
this is awesome i never thought it would actually work but it does it helps so much! thanks for doing these videos :)
Your videos have helped me so much thank you Jody xx !
Yay! Had an Astral projection experience listening to this this morning.

:0
This video has really helped me! Now I know how weird my mind really is whilst I dream!!
just love your stuff jodi takes righ out of my heavey filled and difficult life I'm having thanks hun x💟
Love your voice, Jody. You are a good singer I bet. Thanks for the video.
I never have lucid dreams with this but still use it cause I have fun and interesting dreams. Maybe it will work for lucid tonight
Umm.. i tried this and her voice fades away and i fall asleep. I wake up in the morning like "dammit i didnt do it" haha
Me too lol
Its difficult. Ive only been able to lucid dream a few times and by accident I dont know how to slip into that state.
That's what happened to me like 5-6 times and then finally happened. Keep trying! Plus it's still supercool that you fell asleep anyway❤️
@@jillsorbera7247 I find that I have more lucid dreams when I wake up in the middle of the night and go back to sleep.
worked for me. 've been comin back every night. thank you.
I'm sleeping good tonight! Thanks jody for being the best at this
What a trip! I have serious adventures whenever I do this.
***** I wish I knew how to get it back. I used to be able to control my dreams, but I can't anymore. Don't know why. It sucks!
ZanyProductionz Are you trying to do it on your own or are you using the videos?
The last time I didn't check for auto play on a hypnotic file I woke up as a white standard poodle bitch in heat.
Yeah, you’ve got it! Hope you’re still having good experiences.
Thank you Jody without u I would never sleep
Note to myself: skip to 4:48

Thanks for this. Never can get fully trough but this is the softest one I can find.
Perfect, as always! Im asleep in under 10 minutes!
Thanks for this Jody helps me heaps. Still on the path of lucid dreaming without help.
Got a lucid dream sign last night (light switch). Found I had nothing I wanted to create. Then I slipped back into a regular dream.
i got that haha
DO NOT!! I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO THE BATHROOM WHILE YOU ARE LUCID DREAMING!!!!!!
Why?
+Briana Wallace you'll pee your pants xD

When you poop in your dreams, you poop for real - Peter Griffin
I have killed all of my friends just as you asked Jody.
Just kidding, really helpful hypnosis. Definitely changed my views on the whole topic.
Don't worry if its not happening right now, it will!
lol silly
+kyky sheer I skip the first 10 mins. also. Ive tryed them all from everyone one here an some are good some people are crap.. keep up the good work jody
I just busted up laughing at this..such goodness...best..comment..ever..*still giggling*
Worked for me, thank you for sharing
Thank you Jodi...
awesome show, great job
I done turned into Regan McNeil
Sometimes i don't get a lucid dream. But I always remember the dreams when using this video (:
i it all throughout the vid, didnt work for me just a few conciousness snaps that lasted a min but when i gave up about 20 min afer you said goodnight i felt more relaxed then ever.
I cant stop itching
You're amazing! I love your videos! Thank you!!
I once managed to slip into a lucid dream. I was so excited that my heartbeat woke me up :/
SmokingCures 😊
Happened to me too
Same! 💗
My body went to sleep but not my head I could not picture any thing but I will keep on trying
I had terrible nightmares using this. yet I keep using it
...
You are a blessing. Thank you for your videos
Is sleeping on your back necessary for a lucid dream to occur? I usually sleep in the fetal position, so I found lying on my back made it harder to go deeper into sleep. I do occasionally lay on my stomach, would that be an alternative?
Josh Bloomfield I just looked this up and you may know by now, you don’t have to sleep on your back.
yyyyy Sending prayers for your suffering. 🙏🏾
thank you very much, good experiance, lovin it
Hello!! I'm a regular on your channel , I was wondering if you had any of this wonderful videos that would help with creativity? I'm a painter and I could use a little of your magic in that area!!! Thank you!!!
everything works exept the dream part when im in it
Hello! Please do not worry about sleep Para. It is completely normal! As long as you think happy and good thoughts. I went in to sleep para while thinking about kittens, next think you know it kittens are everywhere! best hallucination ever!
If you ever dream, Dream of me.
Hi Jody! I appreciate the videos you do and listen most nights. I am wondering if you are interested in making a sleep hypnosis to help with nausea and vomiting in pregnancy and for more energy the next day? If you could that would help me so much as I am not getting much relief other ways I have tried so far.
Sleep paralysis happened to me twice in my lifetime and once to my mother when she was a teenager she thought it was a ghost or whatever but after reading up on it through a scientific point of view turns out sleep paralysis is a defence mechanism we use when we dream so we don't try to act out our dream physically.
is it possible to dream about lucid dreaming?? is it the same thing?
yeah, technically you can do anything whilst dreaming, often when you dream about lucid dreaming it can turn into an actual lucid dream. The hard part is not waking up when you realise you're dreaming
OMG her voice scared the crap out of me at first
I was able to slip into lucid dreaming once but I didn't know I was lucid dreaming, I thought I had just woken up in the middle of the night so I just went back to bed 😂😂
Great hypnosis.
Am I the only one who for some reason feels scared of these
Nope
I fear screamers lol
Yeah thats what I thought of to
MrSeaWalrus IsAwesome I'm scared too
★BallisticKelpie★ ᵐᵒᵗᶤᵒᶰ ᵈᵉˢᶤᵍᶰᵉʳ Don't worry, I tried it. There are no screamers
I'm scared to do this!
Holy shoot. I didn't even know I was asleep until I woke up.
I feeled a "touch" and i waked up... It was a nice expieryence
Rainy Jane Wait... So what if I see colors and stuff like that A LOT?
GwenLps 18 You see them a lot when? before you go to sleep? Or when you're awake? Or...?
Rainy Jane When I'm awake, but sleepy
My sister and I share a room and she says sometimes i'll sit up straight in bed looking at nothing (eyes open) and say a few words or something unusual than i'll go back to sleep, and once me and my mom had to share a bed and she was moving her pillow and she said i opened my eyes and said "MY PiLlow" than closed my eyes again, this doesn't happen often but i'm really scared of myself
thanks jody, i'll listen to it later your awesome
Many thanks!
For Most people this is going to be scary beacause of they are not related or know other state/level of consiousnes than awake, drunk and stupid (last one was a joke) but seriously this is not for everybody, Personally I love it because i LOVE SUREALISM;
When you said"Go make me a sandwich," I couldn't help, but to laugh XD Im never gonna lucid dream
🤣🤣🤣
Ur still my favorite 🤍💕 I hope u are doing well. Would love to know you are alright. xx
Good I like it
Love jody whiteley. Great voice. Just b a sleep in 5 min. Great.
I do like these vids though. Had a hard time falling asleep before. Just dont get the lucid dreaming part to work. :)
Well. Ive noticed i take way longer time to fall asleep when concentrating. (When i actually manage to keep it up for that long) Taken me up to 1-4 hours to actually fall asleep depending on how tired i was.
thanks i like all your videos ,but i have a problem if i don't concentrate i fall asleep and if i concentrate i can't drift to sleep . what to do ? :(
Would have enjoyed it better if my dogs didn't interrupt me halfway through. xD I actually started drifting off and began lucid dreaming (first try too). Now I am just more tired than I was before. >__
I think this is half-delirious I like it
