when i saw Episode #9 i thought my day couldn't get better, but then i noticed i hadn't seen #8 before so 2 episodes in one go damn.... my day just got way better than i had thought awesome story, quality and amazing character building which gets better each episode thanks EE and everyone involved :) and I look forward to future episodes every time :)
I said was just going to watch only a few couple of minutes and then bail out, but I ended up watching the whole thing, lol That intro was awesome, and some of the cinematography was brilliant.

The stunningly great shots, the acting, cinematography, the idea of using Avas face like that, as a ghost under the machine shell, amazing visual storytelling. Best. Machinima series. Ever. I like the "less than smooth" movement of the characters. The jerkiness, and off kilter motion of the lips when speaking. It adds a creepy vibe to everything, that something is always off in this universe. I don't know if it was intentional or not, I wouldn't change it. But sadly, most people are not able to see past things, to the underlying mad genius that is lurking close, but always out of sight. This is actually some pretty good entertainment offering something familiar yet unique at the same time. Enjoy the ships too. Sometimes I wonder if Star Wars is just being lazy with some of their ship designs.

Believe it or not, this is actually some of the smoothest facial movement and character movement from the game we’re using - we often get compliments from folks who know what we’re working with for pulling it off, but it’s a real pain in the you-know-what. There’s a series Ava IRL. And there is an actress who plays Ava in our live action short, which has its online premiere on DUST April 15th, but the character’s origin is actually a cross between my wife and me. My wife does her voice.
This was the first episode featuring a guest director, so the tone and style were a bit different. Also, there is another episode out after this one. Thanks for watching!
Your cinematography is really good use of game assets to tell a story is really good. I think you rushed the story you didn't take the time to build proper tension certain dialogue felt forced to move the story in a certain direction. It felt like you crammed 6 episodes in to 30 mins. Any advice I could give is focus on organic storytelling. You have sigmatography down.
Someone else had a similar comment - I think Jake will agree, this was more than a regular episode. His funeral is next week. Jk. Thanks for watching! More next week!
A lot of the cutting between scenes is very abrupt, a bit jarring and feels too fast, while still top notch content, if I'm being honest it's not the same quality as the original 7 episodes. I'd probably rate this a 6,5 or 7 out of 10, whereas the original "cut" I'd probably rate 8.5 or 9 out of 10, at least we get more AVA story.
