Wow that brought back a lot of memories. I used to work at the Niterider back in the day. The theatre-restaurant was always downstairs never upstairs. That was always locked. There was talk of an old orchestra pit in front of the stage downstairs but I don’t know how true that is. Given the age of the building it’s possible though. The way I heard it there was never an upstairs and downstairs. The ‘floor’ that separates the two areas was put in later apparently.
Very good look at the building! I'm thinking of going there myself soon since last time I was there I didn't go in. This video will help me know my way around it. Thank you
Hey guys. You are absolute legends! Thank you so much for this vid. Sad to see how much more it's degraded inside from 10 years ago when I had a peak inside. All those boxing posters are actually from when they shot X-Men Origins: Wolverine inside there around 2008. It was a boxing scene with Hugh Jackman. I remember going in there as a child to do ice skating. I have photos of what it was like inside originally. In front of the stage was actually an open space so at some point they closed it up with concrete.
@delayedwizard94 sounds great but no money to be made that way for an investor. It will go like everything else does in Sydney. Knock it down & build a gazillion units.
@@Optimus_Prime. It's such a shame that places like this are left to rot when it has so much potential to bring some semblance of a nightlife back to Sydney. The history behind it alone would make it a super interesting and fun spot to catch a comedy show or any kind of show with dinner and drinks. Do we even have comedy clubs in Aus?

@@Optimus_Prime. I'm not sure of its name but i know its adress, not gonna post it on a public youtube comment section cause i dont want it getting thrashed by vandals. could send you an instagram dm of its adress though

When your visiting the Northern Beaches next be sure to reach out. I have some adventures lined up for you locally.
Loved the Rambo quotes 😂
Shame its just left derelict. Obviously whoever owns the properties hoping a mysterious fire sweeps up and leaves a convenient block of land for units
Imagine someone rich buys it and restores it as a comedy club/dinner theatre/live performance place

you should've checked out the mansion down the road from here, still in good nick despite being wide open.
We were rather peckish for Hotdogs after this tour. Our bellies wouldn't allow it. Is it on Parramatta Rd? What's the place called?

Just email optimuspriime71@gmail.com
I'll be sure to keep the location secret if i ever decide to go check it out.
Cheers
@Optimus_Prime do you know how to get access to here? Enquiring for a film shoot.
There are holes everywhere but my advice is park in Powell St which is at the rear of the building and come in that way.
