It's a shame he started and ended with Meskimen. It's really his weakest impersonation.
I got them all but Jack Nicholson and Colin Firth.
I thought Nicholson one might be Bruce Willis lol
@@kittykittykitty7682 Or his best, since he has the whole damn world thinking that's his voice.
thank you for this - very much appreciated - well some of this was helped by the technolgy - what sold me on most was the body language - well done - impressive - and scary!
I didn't get Tommy Lee Jones or Christoph Waltz (not all that familiar with their work) - oh George has not aged well! nor Nick!
Robin Williams made my heart hurt
Anthony Miyazaki I got all of them but Malkovich and Firth
The deep fakes really make you realise how impressive his impressions are
Absolutely! 👏
Bc of how accurately the faces match the body language
@@angelomordini6779 the facial expression too. Like when hes doing them they dont really look like the person hes impersonating weirdly. But when you see the deep fake you realise how accurate his facial expressions are
Possibly the greatest Robin Williams impression
Totaly agree.
They could have used him to play everyone at any age in The Irishman
Are you sure they didn't?
@@danielloeb2044 Probably not. The OLD BODY language gave it away.
@@travisgordonusmcYou're saying he's a better actor than Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, AND Joe Pesci? Don't be so hyperbolic.
combined with voice cloning.. anyone can play anyone. They'll just have to license their likeness to the filmmakers.
They could, but they didn't! Instead, "they" made an embarrassing, ridiculous faces.....Pity!
this shows how incredible an impressionist he is, down to mannerisms that make the deep fake so much more authentic.
That Morgan Freeman one is insanely spot on.
@@ProzacPreacher He even duplicates Freeman's long breathe pause that I didn't even realize he had until now.
i didnt hear a thing he said i was just in awe the whole time
Luckily we have a replay button to sit in awe twice over just so we can finally hear what the hooting harcckhh -- err-- what is being said...
okay im glad i wasnt the only one haha
Same
Frank Barone ligma balls
Deep Fake has nothing on this guy when he's impersonating Bush
I was thinking the same thing 😂😂
Just A Jar Of Pickles Actually Bush had to practically break the law to get anything done in New Orleans by federalizing the State guard because their Democrat mayor and governor refused to do ANYTHING because neither wanted to take the responsibility. FEMA did great in Texas, Alabama and Mississippi where there was also major flooding and destruction. Of course a Republican got blamed for Democrat corruption, graft and incompetence.
@@Akihito007 Party pooper
Akihito007 - While there is certainly room for criticism regarding state AND federal handling of Katrina, most of that you just said is provably false. Please stop spreading misinformation.
Also, what a dumb place to bring this all up.
Fatc, yo!!!
This makes me miss Robin Williams.
Same !
@@silverpooloflight Same here. He even has the subtle corners of the mouth going downwards.
Me as well
Same. Any time I see his face.
You are right. It's really sad.
The implications for this technology are rather frightening.
I'd like to think that the US has enough smart people in place so that a faked Kim Jong-un video would not trick Trump into firing nukes. I'm not sure North Korea has experts that could stop Kim Jong-un from attacking us after seeing a deep-fake version of Trump announcing a preemptive nuclear strike.
Time to be a man and decipher whether or not what you see on tv and your phone or whatever, are even real.
Not really, video never was very trustworthy even before this...
@@Capeau I could see someone trying to make a deep fake video, posting it then trying to sue someone else for slander (i.e the deep fake they made slanders themselves). If done right and made to look like cell phone footage I'd be scared to see the results.
If you're dumb enough to fall for a texture put in front of a skull. You still have to find the right head shape.
No way will this tech ever be used for nefarious purposes of course.
like influencing elections or altering court video evidence. No way... **cries**
It's already being used. Someone hacked my sister's FB account and upload pornographic photos of her that looked realistic. Other friends have had similar things happen to them or people they know.
yet no one has
@pnut3844able HAHAHAHAHA !!
putting dead actors in crappy movies is pretty nefarious.
jim meskimen: happy holidays
me: *sits terrified thinking about our future*
Why, should be inspiring check out the cool new tech we got. Don't be so pessimistic the world has been going in a good direction. It used to be the weekends entertainment was the coliseum we're doing better each day.
Just realize that it's only the faces that are deep faked, the actor provided the voices (plus, he did put some effort into trying to mimic the facial expressions and the speed at which the actors he's mimicking would have probably talked).
@@xryanv I'll take the coliseum.
@@jimmyjimmy1601 The person who is worse off in the world today is better off then most from that time.
@@xryanv I say that because fuck this. I'd be perfectly fine if we lost every single bit of tech from the past 40 years.
the scary part is he doesnt need the deep fake machine, his face nearly morphs into whoever he impersonates without it lol
Soon they'll be remaking actors instead of movies.
yeah, with rubbish writing... like always...
There's probably actors already dead or missing, and we don't even know it. Look for future news articles using the words "filmed in secret".
Why not invent an actor? Invent an algo that generates a type of actor, one that is liked by everyone, or use templates for specific roles.
James Dean is being CGI'd into an upcoming movie, so it's happening.
@@alex20776a That concept was done in 2002 with Pacino "SIM-ONE", and in a funky-sillier way in Michael Crichton's LOOKER from 1981.
I can't understand how this doesn't have millions of views.
UA-cam has been going downhill for a long time especially since being acquired by Google. There are many videos by youtubers like Coffee Break or Memeology101 that show how youtube doesn't help individual creators anymore because it's too busy helping established corporations. In fact if you look up "youtube artificial growth" by Memeology you'll even see how youtube is planning to flood the site with planted fake youtubers. People who share opinions are hit the worst because there is a lot of censorship, demonetization, and shadow banning of anybody who has even mildly politically incorrect opinions.
Because the first one was much much better. ua-cam.com/video/5rPKeUXjEvE/v-deo.html
@@maskedbadass6802 so what do we do?
@@mikerosoft1009 Unfortunately there is no easy quick fix because youtube is pretty much a monopoly. The best you can do for now is to stay informed and talk to other people about what you see going on. Little by little as more people wake up you will see slow but steady continued migration to alternate sites like Bit Chute. It would help if more big creators also uploaded to Bit Chute, but for now support creators who are honest and don't support the ones who are clearly schilling for youtube or virtue signal constantly about how racist everybody else is. This is the long game unless somebody comes up with an alternative tomorrow. Lastly, it's a good idea to learn and stay up on politics because it helps you understand Big Tech's motivations for it's dumb decisions because there is so much going on that most people aren't aware of. For example, we live in a world where feminism is forced into our entertainment, and also where books that teach men how to seduce women are banned from major retailers like Amazon for political reasons, whereas hardcore graphic sex books are okay. Politics is everything nowadays unfortunately.
@@maskedbadass6802 Okay, but it's still free to post videos on UA-cam. One doesn't need 'help' to do that. If you're talking about monetization - which means ad revenue - then in my opinion this taints anyone who earns money on UA-cam; whether you call them a 'corporation' or a 'popular UA-cam personality'....in both cases they're profiting from ads. If you argue that it's expensive to produce polished, quality content then I respond: 1) No, it doesn't have to be. 2) One could earn that revenue from Patreon/subscriptions rather than ads. I watch a lot of stuff on UA-cam that's created by people who aren't trying to make a living doing this, and that stuff is just fine.
I'll admit that my comments don't cover shadow banning or censorship. Those things are bad, but from what I can tell they're mostly limited to certain political conversations and maybe a little bit of the virtue signaling stuff. Horrible, but I expect this stuff to calm down soon enough.
When you became Robin Williams my heart skipped a beat. As dangerous as deep fakes may be, you can't help but admit there's something incredibly artistic about watching a man give tribute to, or impersonate another actor in this way.
John Travis Gordon You can't turn off the news and the impact they make on people.
The jump between Christoph Walts and Anthony Hopkins blew my mind, he is an incredible impressionist.
Anthony Hopkins absolutely floored me.

The DeepFace technology really helps Jim's talent to shine even more. This is exceptional. Thanks for putting it together and for sharing it. Cheers.
Deep Fake*
@@zavier3644 Created using DeepFaceLabs.
Yeah because his impressions are sometimes subtle but when you see the face you instantly understand how good it is.
@@jackmiddleton2080 It's weird because he's clearly really good at voices but looking at just him knowing the voice was Anthony Hopkins left me wondering if I could tell that one just by the sound, yet seeing Anthony's face *with* that voice, it was as if they couldn't be separated.
Seems to be tailor-made for this technology, really: the fact that it can map his facial mannerism onto the actual celebrities particularities can make for some really jaw-dropping impersonations. Tommy Lee was the first one that really stuck out for me.
Christoph Waltz' bit is just so accurate
To be sure
Yes, but there should have been a bit of an Austrian accent like Arnold's, though not as heavy. I didn't hear that.
Yeah...that's when you realize people could totally fabricate videos now, though :-0 literally could take clips from interviews and re-edit them to say whatever you want, really.
Have to 100% disagree. Couldn't see it. I might even do it better.
Honestly thought it was Jordan Peterson
Probably wouldn’t need a deep fake if he did Steve Martin
That's the one I kept waiting for. They saved it for last
@@kind2311 no?
Looks like Steve Martin and Patrick Stewart combined.
I clicked on it because the I thought it was Steve Martin in the thumbnail
I was waiting for his Harrison Ford.
I cannot comprehend this talent.
It really creeped me out when the Bush looked exactly like him
If you watch a lot of his impressions, just his facial expressions make him look similar to the who he is imitating, that is a big part of effectively imitating someone, not just the sound, but the infection, the expression, the emotion. The deep fake just puts it over the top.
Look at just Jim, watch how his posture changes, how his eyes widen or scrunch, eyebrows, gestures. All these help to add to the authenticity of the performance and make an impression truly unique. We all have little ticks and things we do that go unnoticed by us and those who know us but somehow when those defining quirks are missing, we notice the impression is lacking in some way.
This is probably the best impressionist alive deep fake or not.
@@NOSUBSCRIBERSWANTED shut the hell up frank
@@NOSUBSCRIBERSWANTED There's no plan, the world is chaos. Will this technology cause confusion, make distinguishing between reality and fiction more difficult? Yup, it surely will as time marches on. Is there some deep and amazing plan orchestrated by a cabal of villains to make us accept it? Of fucking course not. It's just technology, used by most people for fun and entertainment, used by a slim percentage of asshats to make the world shittier for their own gain. That's all it ever has been.
Truly, brilliant. Both the technology and the performer.

This is as close as we can get in real life to something like a doppler from the witcher.
imagine a collar around your neck, with a hologram-projector projecting somebody else's face on your own in realtime! the future is scary! :D
Ghillie Hoplite No, not really. Forest fires being bigger than ever before and the climate change is scary. Technology that won't exist even in a century isn't. The present is scarier than whatever fantasy thing we can come up with
They should have deep faked Henry Cavill own face over his own when he had that moustache.
Now, genuinely, this would have made total sense. Don't know if anyone in Hollywood has even thought of this for such case, but, yes. They should do this every time an actor has to play a slight variation of themselves, like slightly younger or with different facial hair or whatever.
@@inceptional The thing that made Deep Fakes blow up in the mainstream was the terrible CGI Superman mouth. They wanted to shoot some additional scenes, but Cavill was already working on Mission Impossible and his character in that had a mustache, he wasn't allowed to shave it, so the had to CGI it. They spent a big pile of money doing it, and some guy put out a way better version using this type of tech for basically nothing.
Came here for the Deep Fake.
Left with a deeper truth.
Belated Merry Christmas.
How is this not viral yet??? Damn UA-cam with their high school recommendations
The Robin Williams one made me feel sad :(
The very last thing Williams would likely have wanted anyone to feel upon thinking of him.

is that THE garrett watts?
Was this really all in one take? It’s crazy that he can go from one impression to the next so seamlessly. And it doesn’t look like he’s reading from a teleprompter. To do all of those impressions while reciting a long poem is so impressive! Jim Meskimen is super talented!!
Amazing! You've even got the mannerisms spot on! Brilliant!
This is just astonishing. Not sure if I'm more blown away by Jim's performances (that Ian McKellen was UNCANNY) or by the completely seamless deep fakery.
What I find amazing is how spot on Jim captures their facial features, mannerisms and obviously, the voice. Shamook your deep fake only highlights how phenomenal his homage to these stars.

@@Shamook Me too!
That was outstanding, one of the only deepfakes where the impression outdoes the deepfake. The expressions and mannerisms make the deepfake 100% more convincing and shows what attention to detail and effort Jim Meskimen puts into his work.

I'm more impressed with the fact this impressionist just did a whole 4 min monologue with absolutely no cuts.
Honestly incredible. One of the best impressionists, if not THE best impressionist working
0:45 When I "saw and heard" Robin Williams, it just hit me right in the heart. Because you're reminded of the fact that he will never say or do anything new again, because he is no longer with us. He is no longer here. Absolutely heartbreaking. He was a beautiful, one-of-a-kind soul. A light in the world; a world that can sometimes be far too dark. Didn't know him personally, but I miss him dearly. Millions of people do, I bet. May he rest in peace.
He should be a famous actor and others should copy him. He’s got this very warm presence. I think he should get a major role in a movie or a show. He reminds me of Robin Williams and well, of so many others, but such warm and cold presence. Powerful actor.
He is semi-famous. Or at least, you've seen him in movies and in TV shows. The problem is that he plays a different character each time, so no one makes the connection between all of them. jimmeskimen.com/acting/

He’s an incredible impressionist and this is amazing work but I’m also a little terrified at HOW good it is.
I just noticed that he even has the eye movements down perfectly... not like, eye expressions. His actual eyeballs. He looks around, focuses, thinks, and stares the exact same way. He must practice in the mirror and focus on every detail like crazyyyy!
Well, color me freaked out. I'm sleepin' with the lights on tonight.
This is actually quite terrifying. In the wrong hands and lower quality video, you could frame anyone of anything.
This guy is amazing even with out the deepfake you can see the characters (people) come to life on his face! Great job!
Holy Shit.
The reason this makes for such a convincing deep fake is not just the tech involved, but the performance as well.
The idiosyncrasies of the voice in terms of pitch, tone and cadence, as well as that of body language is superb, which is why I had trouble figuring out what was happening for the first 30 secs.
Good job my good sir.
And there went the proverb "seeing is believing".
Between the impressions and deep fake, this is mind blowing no cap
This made me realize how much I miss Robin Williams.
Not sure why this appeared in my jazz playlist, but I'm glad it did. Amazing video, amazing performance.
Really good, I was super impressed with the Anthony Hopkins impersonation.
This must take so much practice to get those voices, speech patterns and mannerisms just right. It's really impressive and with the faces on top of it, it's kinda magical. On a side note, while I enjoy the comparison, I'd prefer to have only the deep faked version, to get fully immersed. It's still great to see all the work that's put into it from the performers perspective. It's really, really impressive.
It's amazing that they got all these actors to look like this one guy. Technology has come so far.
Christoph Waltz was very lifelike, same gestures and body language- the pronunciations, accentuation of his voice is spot on.
Even the hairstyle looks like his does.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING talent Jim, and those deep fake's are really something too.
Been watching your videos for years now, and this is probably the finest work thus far. Well done!

Incredible - the Waltz and Bush ones are particularly effective as the impressionist has a face with similar proportions. The Hopkins one is amazing too as he has his acting mannerisms completely down...
His Christoph Waltz is spot on.
