(we had to stop for long periods of time because of work, but honestly if we are talking one hour per week once a week, I think it would've still lasted for a good number of months). It's made my relationship so much better that I keep advising persons to go to therapy, but I feel people are offended by the suggestion.
I try not make assumptions, but first of all as black people, there is stigma within our community about any form of therapy. It's something we will learn to unlearn. I'm glad you did that for you and your relationship. Having a mediator is so helpful in any relationship. So keep suggesting it. Those who take your advise will benefit from it and those too proud to will soon learn that it was a good suggestion.
