@@TigerSpreadsheetSolutions I have another query. When I convert an excel file into csv, there are some format mismatches happening. Eg: the cell with data "An_Example" gets copied over to the csv as "An _Example". please note the space which got added between the word An and "_". How do I resolve this?

Taking numerical methods for chemical engineering and required to learn Excel VBA. I was totally clueless about excel let alone VBA prior to this video... Thanks for showing the basic stuff...

Abby, that's my biggest complaint about most people who attempt to train or teach - they don't seem to have a solid understanding of what foundations we need to learn in order to understand what they're trying to say. I'm liking this video series so far. It teaches the basics.

Hi, great work. You were born to teach. Question. I have been trying to modify a code to update a whole column with a single click. Example - An annual price rise percentage. I have found a code and with a small adjustment I can highlight a cell and individually adjust each item with a click but this is quite a laborious time consuming task. I don't know if this is even possible, but watching you and seeing how powerful excel is I think it could be done just not by me. Anyway fantastic video.
Mark - many thanks! Wouldn't it be best to but the price rise % in a cell that cells in the columns reference, and then simply adjust the figure in the cell?

After watching your film on the buttons I had it in my head that it would be fun to to click a button to change a whole column, not thinking there is probably a simpler work a round. It's quite addictive trying out new things on excel. One again thank you.
Mark - yes it is addictive. I always tell people to treat it as 'play' if at all possible; this should maximise learning and the quality of the spreadsheet solution. Good luck!

Happy New Year Year everyone Thanks for a great video. Very informative. Question: when you create a new module, will this work for all your workbooks/spreadsheets - or is it designated only towards the spreadsheet that was open at the time you designed the module?
Peps - happy new year to you too and thanks for the comment. No, code can work with any file. VBA can even open and close other files - it's super powerful but can cause problems if you are not sure which file or sheet is active. So, make sure you are explicit about the active file and active sheet. Again, this all comes with experience so don't let this consideration stop you practising! Good luck.
