    Absolutely great tutorial on macros in Excel. I hadn't done them before, and was asked about them in an interview, and was able to follow up with the employer letting them know that I could successfully do them after following along with this tutorial. If you are a Mac user, to add the Developer tab, click on "Excel" in your menu, and pick "Preferences". You will have the customized ribbons selection available to click here, and then you can enable the Developer tab.
    Thank you Cody Baldwin!

And result really same as per others. Look back the macro, the sorting only apply to active worksheet (week1)... So our homework is to find out how to apply to current sheet, instead of just week1?

    For non programmers; the recorder can be a very useful tool. I would have liked to see you mention the caveat that the recorder will perform the same action on every new report. eg 7:00
    Debt to income column "C"
    Selection.AutoFill Destination:=Range("C2:C501")
    If every report has 500 lines of data; this recorded macro will work perfectly every time. However if the next report is 50 lines or 5,000 or even 50,000, the macro will only autofill between Cells "C2:C501". Understanding how to create variables and identifying dynamic ranges can make this macro capable of handling a new report of any out put size.

      I understand what youre sayin since the current Data set he has only contains up to 500 lines.. then a report that exceeds it wont cover >500 lines of data.. SO do you have any solution for this?
      .
      However believe he says that when Recording Macros, it records your Mouse Click/activity.. so if he didnt Drag his mouse to select from point A to point B, BUT instead he DoubleClicked that tinyBox(?) To auto select the range, then wouldnt the next time this macro is executed, then it would also try to use AutoSelect Range by repeating the recorded DoubleClick?
      .
      *the thing im talkin about can be seen on 3:29 he didnt exactly explained how he did that but i think he DoubleClicked it.. can someone explain this? Thank you!

      The Macro recorder will record the activity of exactly what was done on that report. If every time you run a report and it initially comes out the same; then yes, the recorded macro will work perfectly every time. I've been writing VBA for the last seven years as demonstrated:
      Selection.AutoFill Destination:=Range("C2:C501")
      Notice how the "AutoFill" has a property called "Destination". This will only AutoFill a "Range" between "C2:C501". The recorded macro is very static and is not capable of dynamically adjusting for the different number of rows that a new report may output. It doesn't matter if he dragged the autofill or double clicked on the lower right corner; when the curser turned into a black cross. The result of the code reflects that only the pre- mentioned range will be impacted.
      To fix this, you would need to set up a variable. eg
      "Dim lRow As Long
      lRow = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row"
      I have made a variable called "lRow" (last Row), that is set up to identify the last used cell in the first column ("A") of the worksheet. With this variable I can modify the "Selection.AutoFill Destination:=Range("C2:C" & lRow)"
      Now whatever is identified as the last row will be used as the range to "AutoFill" to. The recorder is a useful tool and should be the start of any aspiring excel guru to actually spend time and learn how to write efficient/dynamic VBA. I have programmed workbooks used to reconcile complex GL accounts in minutes. Populate an AS400 program. Populate PDF documents. Learning how to write is not difficult and will simply require you to put in the time to learn and become better. Forums like MrExcel and such have people (like me) that are more than willing to assist you.
