Hi, Fadil, thanks for the tutorial. Can you please explain why you did not use Polychromos for the whole drawing - what properties made Prismacolour better for the pearl? Many thanks.

I prefer prismacolor pencils for most cases, because the color lay down is very good and lighter colors are much more creamy and opaque than polychromos. That especially helps when you are drawing on a toned paper. And since the color lay down is much more than polychromos i may not have full control drawing the very smooth gradations needed for the shadow, so i used polychromos instead. Hope this answers your question. 😊
