all 3 Boba Fennec Ahsoka have The Good The Bad and The Ugly History with Cad Bane...so when Grogu picks the armor i sure hope that it's ahsoka tano who bring back Grogu to Mando and she comes in near the tail end of the final battle and we see all 3 Ahsoka Boba and Fennec go all out against Cad Bane and finally close out Cad Bane's chapter of living 🤔🤔
This was just a great episode of Star Wars, in general. I’m thinking this series is a transitional way to intertwine and connect several SW storylines into an overall arc. World-building to the bigger level.
The Clone Wars was the same nuanced storytelling format that covered The Mandalorians, Maul & The Night Sisters, The Droid Army, Senators, Sith, The Separatist, The Bounty Hunters, The Clones, droids, The Mortis Gods, Darth Bane, The Younglings, The Jedi. Dave Filoni was the supervising director/show runner/director/ writer for 33 episodes & its Season 7 finale. Lucas always wanted SW to be serialized like this.

I have some (a lot of) catching up to do, but looking forward to it as I’ve only started watching reactions a year ago and watching and listening to the avid and die-hard fans of the original story I watched in theaters when they first came out give me a renewed fondness for the story, lore, and fanbase.
Indeed yes, Filoni certainly give us the bigger picture all of his shows. Star Wars Universe is continue to grow in his works. Clone Wars, Rebels, Mandolorian and now Boba Fett. This gives me hype about next installments. Yes we're gonna see the story about Ahsoka and Mandalorian but I wonder how many other amazing stories?
I love how Mando says people's last names. The way he says Fett, Skywalker... there's just something about how he says it that gets me all hyped and excited

It is hilarious how R2 has such a snarky personality. He shuts down whenever it suits him, he basically knows everything and doesn't bother to tell people. I just love him!
This episode was so amazing!! I agree that Cad Bane looks terrifying in live action! I really love the pointy teeth. I was so nervous for Cobb the entire time!!
Personally I think there’s going to be a parallel between Mandos darksaber and the fact that it was created by both a Jedi and a Mandolorian, and once Luke learns of that, he may change the way he views making Grogu pick between Mando and the Force.
Something still feels off but this time, I can't quite put my finger on it. Like you said, it's near flawless. I want to see it deepfaked just to see what the differences are.
@@MisterNive i heard they hired a guy who does deepfakes to improve their tech. The only thing that throws me off is he looks closer to Mark Hamill in ANH than ESB and RoTJ. Maybe a little too young.

Even though I am disappointed that Boba Fett is being sidelined in his own show I can’t contain my excitement at the fact that in one episode we got Grogu, Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka, Cobb Vanth, AND CAD FREAKING BANE!!!!! Now that the Pyke Syndicate has Cad Bane they have now leveled the playing field. One thing I didn’t like though is that Luke gave Grogu an ultimatum of either being a Jedi or a Mandalorian. I know that the Jedi are not supposed to form attachments to anyone but it was exactly Luke’s attachment to his father that brought Anakin back to the light and saved the Galaxy. Maybe it’s to foreshadow how Luke needed to reevaluate the rules of a Jedi and make a new and more open minded set of rules.
I dont understand why people complain so much about these last 2 episodes of the BOBF not being about Boba Fett. With these last 2 episodes you are getting some of the best star wars storytelling and people still complain, its ridiculous. The first 4 episodes had a heavy presence of Boba Fett, so taking these 2 episodes to breakaway and give some backstory on other characters that people have been waiting for and also the world building that is happening is a nice addition. We new since the train episode that the final episode would be a showdown against the pikes, so in the first 4 episodes we have been given all the story telling relevant to that finale for Boba Fett. Nothing else can be shown about Boba in terms of this specific story the director has chosen as we have been given that in the first 4 episodes. Treat episode 5 and 6 as bonus episodes and fan service as technically episode 5 could have been the finale and the current episode 5 and 6 could have been kept for Mandolorian season 3. Overall, Boba Fett is definetly not being sidelined in this show.
I don’t it’s being sidelined but more the fact that there’s not reallyyyyy much to do for his character so they’re world building around this time period and the BOBF was mainly the first 4 episodes referring to the flashbacks, aswell as where he is now

How is it that in an episode in which we got Luke+Ahsoka, Order 66 Flashback and Cobbe Vanth, the most awesome, jump out of my seat moment was Live Action Cad Bane!!!

@@Omegafire17 Episode 6 had barely any action and it was the best episode. It's about content and character development. Boba Fett is a joke in this show and pretty much useless, Fenec does everything for him. Not to mention the fact he stay far too much time without the helmet (even for fights he's not using the helmt ffs) and acts like he's clueless and always 2 steps behind everyone else. You can have your "slow build up" stuff, as long it's good. And you might like it, taste is subjective afterall, but one look in the IMDB and you can see how far off these episodes are compared to the last ones.

I find it kinda funny that whenever I see Bryce Dallas Howard's name attached as director, I know we will get a very cool, action-heavy, very Star Wars-y episode. But, when Dave Filoni's name is listed as director, I know we will get a lot of Clone Wars series callbacks and characters. I predict (or at least hope) we will see Boba really taking the lead in an action-heavy finale that will more than make up for his absence in the last 2 episodes. @@leleprtk Exactly. It was the old ways of suppressing feelings and distancing from love that led to the fall of the Jedi Order. If Anakin had been allowed to hold onto his bond with his mother or not had to hide his love for Padme, he would have been able to confide in Obi-Wan and the others and Palpatine wouldn’t have been able to manipulate him to his side.
Good star wars gives u what you want. Gives you what you expect. Gives you what you didnt think u needed. Gives you what you didnt expect. And leaves you wanting more. If this kind of love and care goes into the next movie it could give this world full of characters and stories the boost it needs to get back to its roots and make Star Wars give its fans new and old that feeling the old films gave.

We wouldn’t even have any of this content if she didn’t green light it all. Dave even said himself she’s the reason he was comfortable directing live action. The choice at the end that Luke is asking Grogu to make is DIRECTLY out of Lone Wolf and Cub. I feel like (and maybe this is wishful thinking on my part) that Grogu will choose the Beskar chain mail and Luke will train him anyway. Also there is a short web comic by an artist named Princepsed about when Ahsoka and Luke meet for the first time and they talk about Anakin Skywalker. I wouldn't be surprised if Filoni drew inspiration from this as a number of people tagged in the initial post. You can look it up online, just have your tissues at the ready.
After last week, an all-star episode was needed to exceed our expectations!! Words are hard to find to describe what I feel. Tears from seeing Grogu... from seeing Din come all this way but not getting to meet with Grogu... hearing the Binary Sunset Cad Bane blew my freaking mind!! Will we see round 2 vs Fennec coming next week?! There's even more to comment about that can't be covered!
My reaction to this episode: Man that escalated quickly, I mean it really got out of hand. I wasn’t worried before but now I doubt they’ll be able to win. Plus the irony of this situation is incredible. The moment Boba decided to abandon the path of his father, he has to face Jango’s greatest rival, Cad Bane. Time to find out if he surpassed Jango Fett or not
They're really setting up the Cad Bane vs Boba Fett duel that was meant to happen waay back in the deleted scene of The Clone Wars Season 7. Plus, it is soo good to see live-action 501st again Also Cobb Vanth is gravely wounded since he was shot in the shoulder, Cad Bane doesn't like a duel being interrupted which is why he shot the rookie multiple times because he's pissed that a third party distracted his opponent in the middle of a duel
Ahhh and yet another example of how the old Jedi ways eventually led to the destruction of the Jedi, again. Luke thought that by following the rules of the Jedi he was doing things right. It wasn’t until Ben destroyed his academy that he realized the hubris of the Jedi was ultimately their downfall, and like the Death Watch Mandalorians, their old ways eventually took out their numbers.
@@discolullaby5777 Well I honestly this is Dave Filoni and Jon Faverou’s way of backing up the sequels, in a way. Maybe not everything that came out of those movies was good, but ultimately the attitude that Luke had in The Last Jedi is justified by the fact that he’s trying it the Jedi way here, and it didn’t work. It’s a dumb ultimatum for sure but it proves the point Rían Johnson was trying to make with his characterization of Luke.
I think it is Luke's fate to carry "Yodas" around in backpacks. Though I hate that we skipped over the reunion of apprentice and son. Also, once again, Reebo lives.

Consider this.. in 40 minutes we got, order 66, (prequels) Cad Bane (TcW), Luke building the temple (sequels), and Luke training grogu the same way yoda trained Luke (OT)
I really hope there is more to Luke's choice here - there were so many times I was yelling at the screen that he should know better. I think it makes sense (especially because they need to keep him in line with the sequel characterization) that Luke will feel like he has to try and re-emulate this system he has idealized. And maybe that's why Ahsoka is telling him to 'follow his instincts' because I just really do that Luke, of all people, should know better than to try and enforce such a rigid dichotomy when his attchments saved the galalxy. I absolutely loved this but it also reminds me of what I really wanted to see (but I know we can never get) which is Luke revitalizing the Jedi Order.
We really are at a point where we can have any character come back to life in live action shows... I am pretty sure they used the same tech to make his voice as they used in the Mandalorian, as all his lines in that episode was made by Respeecher AI.... With this tech, they can really make anything these days and make it believable.
The no attachment thing again? I thought Luke had learned to look past that, if it wasn't for Vader's attachment to his son, he would never have come back. Somewhere, Darth Sidious is smirking as Luke repeats the mistakes of the old order.

After Mando’s S2 finale, the guy that created Deepfake redid the scene and played them simultaneously on a split screen. Everyone raved about it , and not long after, it was announced that Disney hired him for future projects including de-aging/returning characters that actor passed away etc…. I guess that was his first work with them 👌

Either the finale is going to be extra long or, more likely, they are intending this to spill into season 3 of The Mandalorian. Lots of surprises in this episode! Ahsoka, Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane, Luke and Grogu! Speaking of Luke, I actually had the opposite opinion watching this: I felt that he looked worse than the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. This is surprising because I'm sure the producers were well aware of the hugely popular reaction people had to Luke in that and the universal (but light) criticism of how Luke looked in that. I figured if we ever saw him again he would be screen perfect. Anyways, good episode! If you watch the Cobb vs Cad fight you'll see that Cobb was very clearly shot in the shoulder, so it is quite likely that he is still alive and will most likely be in the finale. And Grogu's choice... Given Grogu's stratospheric popularity, I'd say that it's extremely likely that he will choose to go back to Mando. And speaking of Grogu, hopefully we will see more of that scene where he was saved from the Order 66 and find out who it was that saved him. Maybe it will turn out to be Obi Wan. That's my prediction.

Oh wow. In the Ahsoka show, I neeeeeed the conversation where Luke tells her Anakin was ultimately redeemed, and her reaction. I imagine her fight with Vader was the last time she saw him. She probably heard he perished on the Death Star (along with the rest of the galaxy), and thought it was a sad end to Anakin’s story. Knowing the full story of what happened there is major closure for her, and I hope we get to see her get that.
When you brought up needing all hands on deck, I had a thought. They do find Ezra in the Ashoka series, Ezra becomes a student under Luke, and ends up being one of the students Kylo takes with him. What if Ezra was one of the Knights of Ren?!

It's interesting that Ahsoka was so close from the Darksaber considering the fact she fought against it when it belonged to Pre Vizsla during the Clone Wars. And they didn't talk about it 😪 but asking for more in this episode is impossible. 100/10
Is Tattooine gonna go 'spice-less'? I mean, the only reason the Syndicate is there is to move spice...eliminate spice for even a short while, and all profit motive vanishes. Once Tattooine becomes 'red ink' on their ledgers, the Syndicate is gonna move on. How addictive is spice...can users quit with the right incentive?
I think the finale will feel more like a mid-season finale because I don’t see how they can start and finish this war in just one episode. It honestly feels like we’re at the halfway point instead of the end.

I dont understand why people complain so much about these last 2 episodes of the BOBF not being about Boba Fett. With these last 2 episodes you are getting some of the best star wars storytelling and people still complain, its ridiculous. The first 4 episodes had a heavy presence of Boba Fett, so taking these 2 episodes to breakaway and give some backstory on other characters that people have been waiting for and also the world building that is happening is a nice addition. We new since the train episode that the final episode would be a showdown against the pikes, so in the first 4 episodes we have been given all the story telling relevant to that finale for Boba Fett. Nothing else can be shown about Boba in terms of this specific story the director has chosen as we have been given that in the first 4 episodes. Treat episode 5 and 6 as bonus episodes and fan service as technically episode 5 could have been the finale and the current episode 5 and 6 could have been kept for Mandolorian season 3. Overall, Boba Fett is definetly not being sidelined in this show.
I don’t it’s being sidelined but more the fact that there’s not reallyyyyy much to do for his character so they’re world building around this time period and the BOBF was mainly the first 4 episodes referring to the flashbacks, aswell as where he is now
@@dcr7119 true, I agree the finale will most likely be rushed unless they make it slightly longer, but from what i am seeing is that people are mostly complaining about boba fett not being present for a series named after him which I cant agree with, this same layout was implemented in the mandolorian and no one complained about these supposed issues then
I just think of it as an actual book, you can have 2 chapters and not see the main character.
Mando was sidelined several times in his shows. Let's just enjoy good star wars content.
I think we're taking a breather from Boba to show the ruthlessness of the spice runners so that when Boba unleashes hell it feels cathartic.

How is it that in an episode in which we got Luke+Ahsoka, Order 66 Flashback and Cobbe Vanth, the most awesome, jump out of my seat moment was Live Action Cad Bane!!!
For real! I was laying down all comfy for the whole episode, then that silhouette showed up and suddenly I was standing. They made him scary too!

@@Omegafire17 Episode 6 had barely any action and it was the best episode. It's about content and character development. Boba Fett is a joke in this show and pretty much useless, Fenec does everything for him. Not to mention the fact he stay far too much time without the helmet (even for fights he's not using the helmt ffs) and acts like he's clueless and always 2 steps behind everyone else.
You can have your "slow build up" stuff, as long it's good. And you might like it, taste is subjective afterall, but one look in the IMDB and you can see how far off these episodes are compared to the last ones.

The biggest nerd out moment for me was Luke and Ahsoka together. Hopefully we’ll see how they first met in her own show.
I find it kinda funny that whenever I see Bryce Dallas Howard's name attached as director, I know we will get a very cool, action-heavy, very Star Wars-y episode. But, when Dave Filoni's name is listed as director, I know we will get a lot of Clone Wars series callbacks and characters. I predict (or at least hope) we will see Boba really taking the lead in an action-heavy finale that will more than make up for his absence in the last 2 episodes. LOL....how funny would it be if the foot soldiers were Jawas? At first, that's what I thought when Mando was flying by.

@@leleprtk Exactly. It was the old ways of suppressing feelings and distancing from love that led to the fall of the Jedi Order. If Anakin had been allowed to hold onto his bond with his mother or not had to hide his love for Padme, he would have been able to confide in Obi-Wan and the others and Palpatine wouldn’t have been able to manipulate him to his side.

If this kind of love and care goes into the next movie it could give this world full of characters and stories the boost it needs to get back to its roots and make Star Wars give its fans new and old that feeling the old films gave.

People hate on her because they don’t particularly like a couple films she produced.

While you might not agree with creative decisions in the Skywalker saga - you still have the upcoming Disney+ shows, Book of Boba, Mando, Clone Wars, Rebels, etc etc. She’s a nice woman and a talented producer. We wouldn’t even have any of this content if she didn’t green light it all. Dave even said himself she’s the reason he was comfortable directing live action. Because she would go out of her way to invite him to sets of other things so he can’t observe and learn.

The choice at the end that Luke is asking Grogu to make is DIRECTLY out of Lone Wolf and Cub. I feel like (and maybe this is wishful thinking on my part) that Grogu will choose the Beskar chain mail and Luke will train him anyway.
Also there is a short web comic by an artist named Princepsed about when Ahsoka and Luke meet for the first time and they talk about Anakin Skywalker. I wouldn't be surprised if Filoni drew inspiration from this as a number of people tagged in the initial post. You can look it up online, just have your tissues at the ready.

I wasn’t worried before but now I doubt they’ll be able to win. Plus the irony of this situation is incredible. The moment Boba decided to abandon the path of his father, he has to face Jango’s greatest rival, Cad Bane. Time to find out if he surpassed Jango Fett or not

They're really setting up the Cad Bane vs Boba Fett duel that was meant to happen waay back in the deleted scene of The Clone Wars Season 7. Plus, it is soo good to see live-action 501st again
Also Cobb Vanth is gravely wounded since he was shot in the shoulder, Cad Bane doesn't like a duel being interrupted which is why he shot the rookie multiple times because he's pissed that a third party distracted his opponent in the middle of a duel

Ahhh and yet another example of how the old Jedi ways eventually led to the destruction of the Jedi, again. Luke thought that by following the rules of the Jedi he was doing things right. It wasn’t until Ben destroyed his academy that he realized the hubris of the Jedi was ultimately their downfall, and like the Death Watch Mandalorians, their old ways eventually took out their numbers.

@@discolullaby5777 Well I honestly this is Dave Filoni and Jon Faverou’s way of backing up the sequels, in a way. Maybe not everything that came out of those movies was good, but ultimately the attitude that Luke had in The Last Jedi is justified by the fact that he’s trying it the Jedi way here, and it didn’t work. It’s a dumb ultimatum for sure but it proves the point Rían Johnson was trying to make with his characterization of Luke.

I really hope there is more to Luke's choice here - there were so many times I was yelling at the screen that he should know better. I think it makes sense (especially because they need to keep him in line with the sequel characterization) that Luke will feel like he has to try and re-emulate this system he has idealized. And maybe that's why Ahsoka is telling him to 'follow his instincts' because I just really do that Luke, of all people, should know better than to try and enforce such a rigid dichotomy when his attchments saved the galalxy. I absolutely loved this but it also reminds me of what I really wanted to see (but I know we can never get) which is Luke revitalizing the Jedi Order.
We really are at a point where we can have any character come back to life in live action shows... I am pretty sure they used the same tech to make his voice as they used in the Mandalorian, as all his lines in that episode was made by Respeecher AI.... With this tech, they can really make anything these days and make it believable.
Same ending as the opening to the book “Lone Wolf and Cub” instead he must choose a ball or a katana. Vice armor / lightsaber. Very cool

After Mando’s S2 finale, the guy that created Deepfake redid the scene and played them simultaneously on a split screen. Everyone raved about it , and not long after, it was announced that Disney hired him for future projects including de-aging/returning characters that actor passed away etc…. I guess that was his first work with them 👌

Either the finale is going to be extra long or, more likely, they are intending this to spill into season 3 of The Mandalorian. Lots of surprises in this episode! Ahsoka, Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane, Luke and Grogu! Speaking of Luke, I actually had the opposite opinion watching this: I felt that he looked worse than the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. This is surprising because I'm sure the producers were well aware of the hugely popular reaction people had to Luke in that and the universal (but light) criticism of how Luke looked in that. I figured if we ever saw him again he would be screen perfect.
Anyways, good episode! If you watch the Cobb vs Cad fight you'll see that Cobb was very clearly shot in the shoulder, so it is quite likely that he is still alive and will most likely be in the finale.
And Grogu's choice... Given Grogu's stratospheric popularity, I'd say that it's extremely likely that he will choose to go back to Mando. And speaking of Grogu, hopefully we will see more of that scene where he was saved from the Order 66 and find out who it was that saved him. Maybe it will turn out to be Obi Wan. That's my prediction.

Oh wow. In the Ahsoka show, I neeeeeed the conversation where Luke tells her Anakin was ultimately redeemed, and her reaction. I imagine her fight with Vader was the last time she saw him. She probably heard he perished on the Death Star (along with the rest of the galaxy), and thought it was a sad end to Anakin’s story. Knowing the full story of what happened there is major closure for her, and I hope we get to see her get that.
When you brought up needing all hands on deck, I had a thought. They do find Ezra in the Ashoka series, Ezra becomes a student under Luke, and ends up being one of the students Kylo takes with him. What if Ezra was one of the Knights of Ren?!

I think the finale will feel more like a mid-season finale because I don’t see how they can start and finish this war in just one episode. It honestly feels like we’re at the halfway point instead of the end.
