To this town that I had visited because of work for years. I didn't like this town but moved here. Because this is where God wanted me. Glory to God ( Yahweh ). Just had to share this.

It's amazing, I feel God is calling me to the Ozarks... that is why I am looking into these videos. Many Northerners moved here after the "Civil" War. The reason they could is that the federal army burned the crops, farms and mills and killed the livestock. The Southerners who lived here had to move. It was just what the Northerners wanted, and they still do.

Thenewsurvivalist Over 50 years ago, I visited my Mother-in-Law's childhood home several miles outside of Mountain Grove, MO. Not sure if this is actually part of the Ozarks or not, but if it isn't it's not far from it. It's a great place to live if you love briars, chiggers and snakes! If you're religious and believe in God's plan with everything preordained, why are you running? Stand and take it like a man!

We have a small 3 bedroom site built ranch on 1 acre with a small creek and pond here in eastern TN. We're way out in the country, living with the cows and goats, the taxes are super LOW (about $350.00 per year) and the people here are wonderful! We bought it in foreclosure for only $28,500 and we absolutely LOVE the place!

I was born in New Jersey and have lived here all my life. I went to college in New York City, so spent a few years in my early twenties over there. Now that I am 32, I feel I want to get out of this part of the country. It is just too over crowded, too expensive, and people are very nasty. I think the wilderness or country life like that you have in the Ozarks is closer to g-d, and a more peaceful existence.

I bought a 12 acre homestead 7 miles east of Springfield, mo . Its beautiful and the people are soooo friendly . Don't know why anyone in their right mind would want to leave this country. Even the towns are country here . California can sink anytime with all the flag hating weirdos and illegals and crooked politicians etc. Sure there are some riff raffs here but at least they stick out like sore thumbs ! My family (inlaws)have lived in the Ozarks(Arkansas ) for generations. And I have to say that generally speaking I concur with PJF. You keep to yours and they keep to theirs. I personally found everyone I have interacted with there were very friendly and welcoming. My plan is to be going there permanently soon.

I was born in California but my family has been Arkansans for ever, my parents went to cali to make money and I never felt at home there, I always loved visiting family in Arkansas and when I got married and we had our first baby we packed up and moved to Gods country, Logan county Arkansas, now I do like Eurika springs, Harrison, Jasper area but the Magazine area is my home, yes it is tuff living compared to some but that keeps the riff raff out, love Arkansas and if ur in Mo ur our neighbor and Branson is a great vacation spot, I've been back here sense 1990 and don't plan on ever leaving, I too was a pastor but now I'm healing , too bad Christians don't always have a sweet spirit, God bless you and I appreciate ur vids

JohnDoe didn't give you an answer, so I'll give it a try.
City dwellers would find it a great hardship for the nearest mom and pop store to be a 30 mile round trip as it is for me, and 25 miles to the nearest town of any size, to find even a Walmart, and Starbucks is out of the question. If I forget milk or bread, I just do without until the next trip. I'm not in the Ozarks, but deep in the woods a couple of hours south of there. Unless a person is self-sufficient, and can take care of their own, it would be an extremely miserable life. I was lucky enough to have a dad that insisted I learn how to do it all, if it's wood, metal, garden, or guns, I can probably handle it. I have never had to call "the guy" to fix much of anything for me. There has never been a paid repairman of any kind in my house or on my land.
And the worst part for so many city people might be that, 4 generations of my family eat dinner together every Sunday, and they don't really see a need for that.

The Ozarks has Starbucks and Walmart and Mcdonalds and Malls in plenty of towns....I don't know what yall are thinking the ozarks is but it is a very large portion of Missouri (including the 3rd largest city and the state capitol) and a reasonably large area of Arkansas with plenty of decent sized towns.
Its like everywhere else in that some people drive 30 minutes to town and some people live in the city or large towns, anyone who tells you otherwise is bullshitting.

I know that this video is from seven years ago, but it spoke to us! We're also from Washington state. Moved to SoCal 20+ years ago for my career, and now are about to retire. We've been called to the Ozarks as well! Our budget isn't 40k (those were the days, eh?), but we should be able to get 20+ acres with live water in our range. It's interesting to have read a lot of the comments where the person said that they were 'called' to move to the Ozarks. Well, so was I, but I have an added reason for that 'calling'; a 'calling' to come back home. My ancestors were among the very first few white folks that permanently settled along the White River, near Melbourne, Arkansas, way back in 1816. They established a town on the White River called Mt. Olive. Well, I had been living in the Dallas, Tx. area for 18 years...from about 1982-2000. I raised two children by myself, working my rear end off at a full time job and almost always with a part time job on the side just to keep the bills paid and keep a steady home life for us.But I started to get really burned out by the "big city' around 1997-98 and knew that I had to do something or have a complete breakdown. I had always wanted to move back to the Ozark foothills of N. Central Arkansas. I soon realized that my wishful desire to move back 'home' had become a real tugging, a 'calling', a being led to do more than just wish & hope. My kids were just out of H.S. and it took the next 2 years of getting things lined up properly and the kids off on their own with jobs and their own efficiency apt.; and me making several trips up here to nail down a job and a place to live before I knew that it would be right for me to move. And all throughout those 2 years, I knew..I knew...that I was being led to 'come home'. I told my friends that I didn't understand all of the reasons "Why" I had to move back here, but I knew that those reasons would become known at the proper time. I have been 'home' for 18 years now, my Daughter now lives here and her Daughter...my one & only Grandchild... is now here too. While in the Dallas area those years, we always lived in apts; I never could afford a house, even with my Veterans housing help...just way too expensive..unless I wanted to live in the bad part of town...and I mean BAD..! But after moving back, I soon found a house with a few acres and have been here ever since. Yep....I'm happy to be 'home'. I feel a very strong connection to my ancestors. Many people will think it's just nonsense, that connection that I feel, and that's okay by me, because I know better. Yep...I am glad that I finally made it back 'home' in the Ozarks, where I belong.

My wife and I were lead to come to Missouri a year ago invited by a so called brother in Christ.
He told us he had made a promise to God that he would share his blessing with a brother...
This was in the making of 5 years of social media contact.
I left Chicago in 2015 going to Palm Springs Ca. to meet my now wife of almost 3 years.
I had come here to Missouri to meet in person and pick out the gifted 2 acres, which I only parceled out about 3/4 of an acre.
Went back to Ca. to sell our mobile home, that took another 2 years, then came and started working on the property.
I didnt feel right just taking the land and tried just to purchase it from his 80 acres, he insisted not to accept any money.
I paid out for a road, well, electric and septic purchased a trailer and got ready to build our retirement home. At that point I told him I wanted a deed of ownership.
He said okay, but then kept putting it off.
To make a long story short, he started oppressing us by telling me what and what not I was allowed to do.
No fires, no visitor stays, no one allowed to drive in without his knowledge and then started by telling me we have a spiritual wall between us...
I had already befriended people here and my wife and I feel in live with the laid back friendliness of the area... I finally told him I cant build here without a deed.
That's when he looked me right in the eye and said "I changed my mind" now the real Mark Obbink came forward, not the fake Christian brother.
I had already spent $16.000.00
and he's changed his mind!
I said that's okay just reimburse me the money I've spent and we'll be on our way.
He sat on the couch, stuck his had down in his pants, stroked his beard and said "I ain't giving you shit" so much for trusting anyone ever again.
In my youth I ran with a MC club and was known to fight at the drop of a hat, I like you was also ex-military.
My flesh wanted to break him in half, my spirit wouldn't allow it.
He doesn't realize the beating Yah saved him from...
I realize he was a lesson and a steppingstone, because it is our fathers will for us to be here in Missouri. We purchased four acres that just happened to be listed on our 2nd wedding anniversary, right next to Bennett Springs.
I do believe the Lord lead us here as you do, and he always shows us it's by his hand.

I inherited a place from my parents that borders the mark twain national forest wilderness area. About 10 miles from the back side of an army post which as a retiree will give good access to some facilities. Current plan is to retire in 2 years when I turn 64.

I finally got some off grid property in the Ozarks. CV19 spurred me on. For a while the grocery store shelves wear almost empty. Eggs,milk n meat wear hard to find. So I bought 6 hens n 1 rooster.
It was as if I had done a great sin. The POA were demanding I remove them.
Thanx to a brother Marine I was able to relocated them to his place.
Then I started searching for off grid land more intently n praying about it. So now I'm making plans to leave Texas.
So b it.
My prayers were answered
I thank the God of Abraham in Jesus Christ name.

ok this is strange. after my divorce 15 years ago I felt drawn to move to appalachia to do mission work. Im a die hard christian but at that time I wasnt attending church, hadnt read the bible, or was leading a very christian life. why would I all of a sudden feel so drawn to mission work? recently I also felt a stong pull to the ozarks. so I visited tge southern ozarks this past April. I retire this year and plan to do 1 year of mission work in appalachia and the move permanently to the southern ozarks. I want to start a mission there. what is strange is this undeniable pull to these places as I have never been to either before. I truly believe its what GOD wants me to do.

I live in Maine. I think if SHTF happens, it would be the best place to be. Here is why. Low older population. Water is no problem, lots of rural area. No one will want to come here because it's cold. That's a plus actually. The horrds will be heading south because they are thinking longer growing season, more food. Well lots of good that's going to do you with more people heading your way who will want what you've got. You need to go to places they don't want to go to.

I could have bought Ozark land a few years ago for a really good price... but now the real estate people with money have bought up the land and have jacked up the price to where it's not the good deal it once was. Same here Pastor Joe. Without question we were led here by the Holy Spirit. Left a beautiful home and business and all our friends and family in GA to be obedient. It’s so interesting I keep finding more and more people saying the same thing. COOHMP. I believe it’s a refuge of sorts in these last days.

My husband and I use to live at Lake of the Ozarks and I liked it. We have a house paid for but not livable. We have to do some work to get it livable again. We have been thinking about it (the house) alot because of the shape this world is in. We moved from there to where we are now 2 years ago and are regretting it. We live like 2 mins from town but are on the outskirts and we are surrounded by trees and houses. We have 3 acres, a pond and some chickens where we are but if SHTF all those hungry people would find their way to our house. Sooo, I am contemplating putting this house up for sale and moving back to our other one which is more out of town. By the way I just found you'r videos and subscibed. God Bless you for making them and trying to warn people of upcoming events. I hope people take heed. Prophecy is being fulfilled.

I'm in a nearby state and went through the same routine in the late 80's. One United Country Real Estate agent and going to small town Real Estate offices and asking for listings of cheapest wooded land they had. Looked at a lot of junk until I found a diamond 30 acres for $475.00 an acre. Most the old guard neighbors are gun friendly farmers and ranchers. New arrivals are often prepper minded getting out of the city. Country living can be rough, especially if you have to commute to the city for work. So generally you only get newbies moving out here that really have that desire to be country people. I and 5 of my neighbors all have rifle and/or archery ranges! LOL

Sounds like heaven with the wind rustling through the TREES! Even as a kid, I always wanted to live on a farm. Had dogs since 7, all of which, had come to me. All lab/retriever mixes. God has really good taste in dogs for me. Noticed yours in another video roaming around behind you, playing in the leaves checking stuff out. Nice friend. Have always been partial to elbow room....

I moved to one of the other aforementioned places you described as being "colder". Yeah life is a bit more harsh in the winter here but there is usually a mass exodus (from the left coast tropical oriented people) after a hard winter.

Wow, my family and I also felt called to the Ozarks about 2 years ago. We really felt called to move from ca. We are currently renting and looking for a chunk of land to do the same as you. Glad to hear other Christians are doing the same. God bless.

Ozarks are beautiful, but soil is rocky and not good for growing veggies and fruit trees. Good for grazing grass and many hardwood trees.

If you’re near a college town then you have to be near either Springfield, Rolla, Boliver or Fayetteville. Grew up on the Lake and if I could convince my wife to move we’d be there in a heartbeat. However, if you really 9:03 want remote check out the Kiamichi Mountains in Oklahoma.

The US Military is telling all officers to move to NW Arkansas for the most part. Ozarks are good except for one reason - water. When you look at property make sure to find out about water. You really don't want to get on a rural water system unless you have well's on your property already

@ robin altman, You don't know much about geology huh/ Why if you dug a hole ten feet deep in the 0zarks, you'll strike "Water.' There is more water under the 0zarks than anywhere else on Earth.

@@scraplifetrashtocash4551 , Ive heard of them but never seen one myself. I saw one on the news that opened up by a golf course near Branson, but it was on ground that had been created by dozers near a lake.
I should have mentioned that to dig that hole, you'll need more than a shovel. Not much topsoil in the rocky Ozarks, lots of rocks. Limestone ledge just a few inches down. If you go to the bottom of a holler you can find more good soil, but up on top it's usually pretty rocky, but plenty of grass, brush, and ground cover. Of course there are oak trees everywhere too.
I hear they have lots of sink holes down in Oklahoma.

I live and am from Springfield MO, have a close friend who is from near San Fran Ca. She loves it here and said for the end times stuff, Ozarks is one of the best places to live. I do want to move out into the country out of the city. Especially now during this crazy viru fiasco.

Strange that I ran across this video . I want to move to the Mountain Home area of the Ozarks . I have lots of family that have been there since before the Civil War . Four generations of my family were born there . I was born in Los Angeles and have heard stories about the Ozarks all of my life . Finally went to a family reunion last year and I’m in love with those mountains. Really felt like I was finally home . Hoping to get something together in next couple years to move there .

We too had our calling in the early 1990's to leave our comforts in the USA and " make Aliya" ( move to the land of Israel ). God has His plans..... we are here and are happy.
