So the nose....there is a specific purpose for it. It is called a beak nose. Not just for asthetics, but allows for more volume in the nose so you can glide into your waves easier. You can actually do cheater fives on it as well cause you have more foam up front. So I would not change it. Overall sikk board! You have inspired me to complete mine.

The 1st 2 were big learning curve. I spent a lot of time watch different styles of making boards. Once of them was the gent you mentioned. I stay 40min drive from Supers j-bay. Thus my latest board is for j-bay n my home break hill hollow sand bar. Great vid bro. Happy surfing

Ever thought of using a hotwire cutter process is a magnitude faster that archaic hand saw and no mess or noise so better in every way, with the amount of boards you've made, you would have had more time to surf.
