Oh that was brilliant fun! Thanks mate, I'd love to be able to go and see them, you'd have a great night! They're tight, talented, and are obviously loving it! :-)
These muso's play with a lot of passion and even more skill.... yet even better they really groove and move to their music... my faith in the future of blues and roots music is that much stronger seeing and hearing this truly amazing band... go hard... go soft... go long
i love how they keep their guitars pretty clean, forces them to not rely on effects and concentrate on the actual playing and melodies, which they do really well.
Talented and beautiful Military Brats. There is hope for America with Young Women playing the blues. Its a revival in music like the 60's and 70's. Make America Great Again
Shake, Sammy, Shake ! Sadie is cutting her fingernails on the guitar and Krista is keeping cool and plays a great solo ! Not to forget Sam Motter and Matt McCarthy, you're doing also a great job ! Incredible performance ! Thank you !
This brought back great memories of hearing Danny Gatton way back in the day playing this style of rockabilly guitar--quite a compliment, because Danny Gatton was an absolute monster guitar player. Good job by the Sad Sam Blues Band!
I think it's time to start a ritual guitar burning .. :) Great to see such young people rocking out on a blues tune, there's still hope for blues! Great work, all of them!
Sam Johnson and Krista Hess may have been in college at this time. Sadie has toured with Girls with guitars. Sadie and Krista are playing at a high level now.
+bluzeblast Sam Motter He plays in some of the other Sam Sam Blues Jam videos. He played with the band at the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis, Indiana.
WAZZUP!! Are these girls Sisters? Or just damned talented! SOMEONE....Let me know! they need to come to Topeka, KS during the GO 4TH BLUES FESTIVAL!! SORRY!! I left out the Saxaphone player!!! Is that kid good or WHAT! Here is what I'm thinking. Big Brother on the Sax, Sisters on the guitars, and Dad on the drums! LOL
When people whine about modern music, like Taylor Swift or Miley (I admire both, but haven't heard much from either that grabs me. Just not my style), or pop stars, I try to mention that just about any music that was once heard is still being played, somewhere. You just have to find it. And LISTEN. These 3 ladies are a prime example. Thank you for posting this!
I hope they push back college, and take a few years to try the music world. Save some money, and there is always time for school. I didn't go until I was 28. A lousy student, I suddenly got A's. And when the economy tanked, after graduation - I went back on the road! Now that's a plan B! (but at my level, there wasn't a lot of money to be had. After 5 years, I went back to the world of straight jobs... Ugh!)
Sam the driver, sadie the sound, krista the painter . No other play so harmonic as This Band-includet the big blues Band-The absolut best Blues band- Wine must be older The world kness on you floor . Be together Girl`s. No one is better!!!!
I know things have to change, people have to grow up and have their own lives, and even such greatly talented musicians can have passions other than performance bands, and musical directions mature and diverge, but damn I wish these people were still together. They were just SOOO wonderful together, especially with the sax. I still come across Sam on bass sometimes - her husband has matured into an excellent guitarist, and she's an even better bassist, just as great a showman and even more beautiful - and of course I still see Sadie sometimes doing stuff around her college schedule. She's comfortable playing with pretty much anyone, just a natural. But I don't see Krista nearly often enough, and when I do, she's technically a better player but just doesn't seem to be having as much fun. (I hope I'm wrong, but she seemed more at ease with Sadie, and so often she seems to be playing second fiddle to guys who aren't as good singers or guitarists.) Have to look up Sam Waller (if that's his name?) on sax too, he's great. But it would have been so great for us fans if these guys had been willing to have a career like the Stones or the Dead or the Allman Brothers.
+Bruce Morris I think their guitar duels remind me of the movie Crossroads. Sadie has played with Blues Traveler three times. She duels with John Popper. I saw duel with a sax player when they were playing jazz at Yatts in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The bass is really solid she never skipped a beat. Is that the music master or a Dad on the drums? he is working well there. Great to see the young talent so good. I hope they progress>
I'm 63 now. I see I have lived a sheltered life. UA-cam has made me open my eyes and ears. Gotta love youngsters with talent. Thanks for posting.
Samantha is so elegant, joyful and full of energy playing that bass !! I could watch her for hours.
Hot damn! That sax! Those guitars! That bass! Those drums!
Sad Sam Blues Jam, you guys are insanely good! I hope to see you live someday!
Peace Harmony

Sax is boss! Great feeling, no flash dance, just great phrasing.
Just wow! My favorite song for the band as a whole. I especially love Sam playing with the sax man Dell Monroe. Love this, it jumps!
Great camera work for a terrific band!
Wow these Babes sure know their stuff...awesome gals...
Oh that was brilliant fun! Thanks mate, I'd love to be able to go and see them, you'd have a great night! They're tight, talented, and are obviously loving it! :-)
Awesome!
The little HARTKE girl was entertaining for sure...deserved a larger audience!
Great boogie woogie sound! Keep it up and long live ladies and gentlemen of the band💙👍

Talented and beautiful Military Brats. There is hope for America with Young Women playing the blues. Its a revival in music like the 60's and 70's. Make America Great Again
You ladies are amazing
Shake, Sammy, Shake ! Sadie is cutting her fingernails on the guitar and Krista is keeping cool and plays a great solo !
Not to forget Sam Motter and Matt McCarthy, you're doing also a great job !
Incredible performance ! Thank you !
They rocked the house. I so love the Sadie-Krista guitar duos.
This brought back great memories of hearing Danny Gatton way back in the day playing this style of rockabilly guitar--quite a compliment, because Danny Gatton was an absolute monster guitar player. Good job by the Sad Sam Blues Band!
Sad Sam Blues JAM not band
I think it's time to start a ritual guitar burning .. :) Great to see such young people rocking out on a blues tune, there's still hope for blues! Great work, all of them!

These are high school girls playing at this level! Can't wait for them to finish college and really tour. Incredible talent.
Sad to say I heard they broke up the band and going their separate ways now.
At this time, I think Sam and Krista were college students. Sadie and Krista are now playing at high levels. Krista's Santana cover is great.
Hearthman1159 No shit???? High School??? Hot Damn our jazz band didn't stack up !!!!These girls are Pure Evil!!!!

Here is what I'm thinking. Big Brother on the Sax, Sisters on the
guitars, and Dad on the drums! LOL
Great stuff. Keep up the hot music!

Sam the driver, sadie the sound, krista the painter . No other play so harmonic as This Band-includet the big blues Band-The absolut best Blues band- Wine must be older The world kness on you floor . Be together Girl`s. No one is better!!!!

this is my favorite u tube video, it feels like being attacked by guitars.
This is kinda awesome!
This ones for you Joey Welz the Legend of Rock-a-billy and Rock and Roll on the keys- LOve ya like a Brother- Play on...
Lord, I hope Heaven is just like this!
Sadie and Krista's guitar duets remind me of Peter Green and Danny Kirwan trading off counterpointed solos in the old Fleetwood Mac. It's that tight.
+Bruce Morris I think their guitar duels remind me of the movie Crossroads. Sadie has played with Blues Traveler three times. She duels with John Popper. I saw duel with a sax player when they were playing jazz at Yatts in Indianapolis, Indiana.
That was Steven Vai playing both parts in the Crossroads movie, right?
Why don't they have a FB page!? :(
Excellent !!!
They smoked it man!
Just excellent!!!
I'm speechless; they are so fucking good, I don't how to compliment them. I just hope they keep on playing.
