  • This rendition of Station Man was performed on Feb. 10th. 1971. Very close to the time Jeremy Spencer quit the band. The sounds coming out of Danny's guitar are stunning.

Danny had it all. He could have played with anyone. Tragic that he was so damaged inside. But he had like 5 really good years as an artist. That's more than most had.

From kiln house a fantastic album. I listened to it on a trip to alaska on a tugboat in 1972. Thats probably why its my favorite album.

These concert recordings are amazing. Always getting something new and shows how good they were, especially Danny. Much prefer these to the recorded LP versions.

What a remarkable rendition. It seems played at a significantly faster tempo than the studio version. The faster pace seems to galvanize Danny -- he's jamming away like he couldn't in the studio. It's yet another example of Fleetwood Mac excelling at the jam. That was true both before and after the Peter Green era. Way to go, Brother Bob; this one is gold.

I think you mean during the Peter Green era and after, there was no era of Fleetwood Mac before Greenie.

The words "under rated" are vastly overused on YT but in Kirwan's case it really applies.

You're right, but for the most part, it's from the casual fan's perspective. Musicians and serious fans alike who delve into that 68-72 time period, know how good he was.

they want to put HENDRIX and CLAPTON AS guitar gods IT is BS Danny Kirwan could teach them how to play.
