      there is one more thing US reviewers are missing - global support. I love Pixel experience, but living in a country without Google Store and therefore Google support I’d still give my money to Samsung. VoLTE and VoWiFi are not working on Pixel outside of Google Store markets, same for 5G. Funny enough it may not work in some European countries with local Google store. Add no warranty on top of this and …. ahhh, you just have to make a lot of compromises with a Pixel.
      Let me also say I totally don’t understand Google’s decision making re’ their store presence. You do have a store in Denmark (go Danes), a country with 5 million people and 60% of the mobile market owned by Apple. There is no store in Poland - 38 million citizens and over 80% of the market owned by Android. Anyone any thoughts?

    I love Samsung and been a Samsung user for a decade. Got my pixel 7 pro making the switch for the first time. I absolutely love this phone and I've never been so obsessed with phone photography but every pic on this phone is just beautiful to look at. If the pixels get DEX like features and the double tap to lock the screen (you don't know you need it until you do) then I'll never even consider going back. ALSO, being able to send a massive and detailed text without having to type anything because Google's voice typing is so good is just AMAZING. Again you don't realise how game changing it is until you have such a reliable partner to do it. And yeah, the pixel feels like a genuine companion. Excited to see what will come out in Nov. following the 7 series success.

    There are a couple things you missed and don't worry, EVERYONE, who does these type of reviews does. I use my phone as a music source, streaming lossless audio in my hifi aftermarket car audio system, at home with an audiophile audio setup and with my higher quality, over ear headphones. The S23 phones are superior to the Pixels because the S23 series support Dolby Atmos processing while the Pixels DO NOT. Beyond the Dolby processing the S23 phones also feature UHQ Audio Upscaling used with headphones. These features makes a big difference in the streaming audio quality. I wish that more reviewers would be knowledgeable enough to include this aspect in their reviews. We use our phones for more than just the screen and camera quality. You don't have to be an audiophile wanna be like me to have a better audio experience with any of the S23s. Still, audio streaming is a big deal for me and so in that way, my S23+ (or S23 Ultra if you have it) is superior to the Pixel 7 pro.

    I went from an S10e to the Pixel Pro. I like it and it definitely feels like a decent upgrade.
    However, I find it funny how you hear how the Pixel has an OS closer to stock Android which makes it less bloated. Well guess what? On the Pixel's home screen you literally cannot remove the google search bar at the bottom or the "at a glance" text at the top. You can't even move them. These 2 things are 1000x more intrusive and annoying than any pre installed software Samsung has. It's crazy how no review I watched or read mentioned this. Had to find out on my own after buying the phone. Not the biggest deal in the world but still, pretty annoying.
    And yes, I know I can get a custom launcher. That's not the point.

    Have owned the P7P since launch and am very happy with my choice. Best things about the phone are the Camera and software experience. Design wise would prefer a flat screen and a matte glass finish on the back. Only downside is the battery life could be better but it’s not awful, just average. However the big plus is the price. Over here in the UK you can buy it for £749 which is an amazing bang for your buck. At launch i also received a free Pixel Watch worth £349 alongside the phone which added to the already great value of the purchase.

      The software experience is the reason why I also choose the pixel, even after Android 13 galaxy phones are stuck with their own skin which makes no sense. If your phone doesn't change with latest updates, what is the point of an update? I don't understand it 🙆
      That's why I hate iPhone's, I had iPhone xs back in the days which i bought at discounted price. It's got around four software updates and still looks the same. Only some one two new feature here and there that's all. Even my 6a's fingerprint sensor is not very good, i just love it for everything else..

Next Camera - the broth could use some work on the software side. Give the edge to the P7P except for Macro and Zoom. The S23U just runs right over the P7P. Next Battery - the S23U rivals my iPhone 13 ProMax. The battery SOT is great. When you add it all up, it is close. IMO the S23U edges the P7P. Sent it back & got the S23 ultra as a replacement.. it's a great phone (and what the camera can do is breathtaking) but it also suffers the same jittery scrolling albeit to a lesser extent - which makes me think there is a big issue with Android and I should have got the iPhone 14 pro max instead (which - speaking as a 100% Android user - is going some)

    Awesome comparison, very very in depth!
    Something about the Pixel I don't like is that most of its exclusive features only work on a very small handful of countries, so they're useless to most people in the world :/
    Still, I was a huge Pixel fan, I only switched to Samsung because the Pixel isn't even sold in my country so it costs much more than the S23U due to fees, and also because the Galaxy boats the amazing Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 now.
    Surprisingly to me I learned to love Samsung's UI (I was a HUGE advocate of Google's UI) and its cameras (I thought Samsung would never be able to reach Google's picture processing.) I'm very very happy with the S23U and for now I actually don't miss the Pixel. Let's hope Samsung continues like this!

The 7 Pro was recently was on sale for quite a long time for $749, whereas the Ultra hasn't seen its price reduced just yet from what I've been able to tell. At their recent price points of $499 and $749, and even at their MSRPs of $599 and $899, there just aren't better options out there, except perhaps the OnePlus 11 5G.

The Pixel 7 Pro should be the obvious choice for atleast 90% of people. Pixel needs to improve on these two things especially: battery life (current battery life is not enough ) , charging speeds (30w and it barely even uses 30w) , takes almost 2hrs+ to full charge. When they cannot produce a stellar battery phone ,atleast they should compensate it with faster charging . Nothing phone 1 with 33w charges way faster than a 30w p7pro. I so wanted to get a 7pro but skipped it hoping to see a better 8pro. If google can get 8gen2 on their 8 series this year , that solves the battery life problem. Right now they're just too much dependent on samsung for the tensor chips as well as the displays . The p7pro still has older amoled tech compared to the present gen ones that can go as low as 1hz. Overall that 999 price bracket is achieved with some compromises , which can be avoided .

    I think it's ironic that you made a comparison video of two phones with one being the clear winner overall, and then picked the other one. But I think you're just deciding not to switch because you're really happy with the pixel and you'd like to use it longer -- you've only had it for about six months -- I can definitely relate to that. Also, Samsung flagship phones do get better in time because the software updates improve the camera's capability/optimization, reduce bugs, and improve DeX. For example, the photos that are taken from the S22 Ultra's cameras today are better than they were a year ago.

      ...more to do with the price, as with deals the Pixel 7P can be had (in UK) for near half the price of the S23U (currently £1400 for 12GB RAM). That is a big saving. I got the P7P for £760 and a free Pixel Watch (£400) so net £360. The S23U was £1250 (pre-order) but only 6 months Disney+ and not great trade-ins. the pixel is a no brainer , yes the galaxy does have some redeeming features , but argueably not 700 bucks worth .

I bought the S23 Ultra but I'm not able to carry around so my sim card is back to my Motorola Edge 30 Fusion which is built with premium quality but weighs only 175 grams. It can be in one hand for hours with no fatigue in your hand. I think that's what we should be referring to as premium

      I have an Edge 20 Fusion and love the light weight. I also love the gestures to open the camera, turn on the flashlight and split the screen.❤

    Pixel 7 pro cinematic mode is unmatched, but battery life makes it not a good primary phone you can't use it while charging and reach a 100% charge which is something I never encountered with a smart phone in over 8 years.

    I'm wondering why Samsung does not have live translation. This is an utterly useful feature.

    One thing that no reviews talk about is the cameras on both phones on moving objects like kids and animals, I have both phones and will return one of them.
    The 23 ultra never takes good photos of my kids or animals, Animals fur doesn't look right, Kids faces smoothes out like it has a filter on it and they get blurry 8/10 times, None of these problems exist on the pixel 7 pro when I'm trying both. Still photos outside looks awesome in both phones but life isn't always still.
    Another thing I wish the ultra had was the ability to copy any text in the screen like the pixel. And the pixel can tell me the songs that are playing at all times, and saving it in a list so I never have to wonder what songs are playing, if the ultra doesn't get an camera update soon and fixes these problems then I'm gonna send it back and keep my pixel

      I also have both and agree fully with your thoughts. The other aspects is how well Pixel utilizes it's software better.. like At a glance is better on pixel than s23u. Direct my call, better caller ID, hold my call, etc. Samsung has a much better screen though and battery life. But for photos, pixel all day

    Naah, Samsung doesn't need a camera bar. Great video though. I'm not along with a lot of other people, just not a fan of the visor on the back of the Pixel

    Imagining what it will be like to have Pixel 7 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 instead.

      Pixel would be the best Android hands down with Snapdragon Power.

      It wouldn't be $600 anymore also. It would jump to $1100

    I have the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra and I've been using it for 2 weeks. Now. I have a pixel 6 Pro and I've been doing comparisons. Because I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to take back the s23 ultra or exchange it for the pixel 7 Pro. I think the Google Assistant works better on the pixel. I also think that voice to text on the pixel is way better, mainly because the Google Assistant is helping you do voice to text. I also like the feature on the lock screen that shows you what music is playing nearby. The pixel buds also work better with the Pixel phone. My pixel does everything I needed to do for me. Contrast that with the s23 ultra I will say it's customization and feature set is insane and there's a lot of fun things I can do with this phone. I also love it's battery life. The s pen is good because it can do several things but I don't find myself really using it that much. So I'm either going to get the pixel 7 Pro because I like my six and I figured the seven would be an upgrade over what I currently have. Or, I can keep the Samsung phone and enjoy all the extra customization and features. It's a hard choice.

      Voice to text on Samsung is not bad. I've tried it and have no error when using it.

      @thetruthstand Рік тому

      @@nathanjuan6042 It's not that it doesn't have errors. It's slow. Trust me when you have used it As much as I have on my pixel, the difference is incredible.

      @nathanjuan6042 Рік тому

      @@thetruthstand Well I haven't used a pixel so I can't tell the difference. But for average user who haven't use a pixel phone voice to text on Samsung is ok. Same thing with having a 60hz if you haven't tried a 90 or 120hz then you will not notice it but when your used to having higher refresh rate then maybe you might notice it. Anyway I don't really use voice to text that much so I don't mind it tho.

      Do not get the 7 pro. It is not enough of an upgrade. I'd wait for the pixel 8 pro. The 6 pro has better speakers than the 7 pro. Google has some things they need to work out with these pixel phones honestly.
