    Once again I top quality video. You deserve 10 times the amount of subscribers due to the cracking angles you get when filming and the helpful on screen graphics to show swims and rigs. This is a style I plan to adopted for my own videos. Keep up the fab work

    I've been looking for a safe, easy to assemble cage feeder rig and this looks perfect for the lake I'm fishing. I'm definitely using this. Thankyou for your great videos and tips.

    Wow. See the fish on my profile picture. I cought that and 3 over nice bream and a small Carp on that same rig. It Realy does stop tangles. If there is one thing I hate its casting out your feeder wondering if its tangled round itself the whole time its in the water. But with this rig I dont have to worry about that. I now use it all the time. Thanx for that.

    Great video, I've learnt quite,a bit from your channel, only started fishing last year and you and TA fishing have helped me start catching better fish the last couple of months, thank you. How did you keep the roach away from your corn?

    • @AmateurAngling
      @AmateurAngling  7 років тому

      To be honest, I avoided the Roach more by luck than judgement.

    • @carsonking5549
      @carsonking5549 7 років тому

      Obviously I've been using judgment, ha ha ha, I get fed up with tiny roach with eyes bigger than their bellies. I've caught one tench in 9 months. I like tench, they look fantastic.

      Give prawns a go, whole or halved. Fish close to weed beds in the day, quietly try the margins on a summers evening. Loose feed with just six half prawns every half hour or so. If Carp move in to the swim they may bully the Tench away.

      Cheers, I'll try that, a guy on my local lake was fishing with prawns last week, he gave a couple he also gave me some rubbers and a stretcher for them, he'd caught one tench but then I had a phone call and had to go home, I'll try that as soon as the sun shows it's face again. On the float and is it ok to use anything other than a waggler, I get in too much of a mess with them and I've tried everything?

    • @AmateurAngling
      @AmateurAngling  7 років тому

      I don't use a bait band with prawns, I just put them on a size 10 or 8 hook. If you don't fancy a float then ledger with a simple running rig and a light bomb perhaps.

    im gonna try the 4 bead system thats a good idea im gonna try this method on my local resevoir where you have to cast 30 yards minimum with a 3 - 6 foot hook length in 2o - 40 foot dephs for big bream up to 15lbs .

      Why do you have to cast 30 yards minimum do the fish hold in only certain areas that are that far out?

    Hi, what size beads do you use for your boom? Many thanks

  • @MHThunoe

    Do you load the hook with bait inside the feeder before casting or is it loose hanging?

    hi i enjoy your videos very much but i was hoping you could help me i fish for catfish a lot the problem i have is tying my braided main line to a mono leader what knot should i use bearing in mind the main line is 80lb and mono leader is 100lb i have tried some knots but they were all to big to go though the eyes and i am using catfish rods your help would be appreciated

    • @AmateurAngling
      @AmateurAngling  7 років тому +1

      Give the Yucatan knot a go, please test and make sure it suits your purpose before you rely on it.
      Good luck.

    Hi sorry if it's a daft question as I'm still learning the method/cage feeder style but at that distance could you also throw in ground bait into the area instead of casting in and out every five mins as I'm not the best at being accurate with my cast with the feeder

    • @AmateurAngling
      @AmateurAngling  7 років тому +3

      I wanted to use a small amount of feed and guarantee it would be close to the hook, but there is nothing to stop you throwing the feed if you like, best of luck.

      Hi - groundbait can sometimes be hard to judge with Tench...if it breaks up too quickly and particles rise to the surface then the Tench move from your hook bait to take from higher up.....that's a problem the deeper the swim - if you're only a few feet down then it'll be fine if not make your groundbait stick around for longer by adding more water and chopped worm - this'll keep them interested for longer!

      Quantum commercial heating Make sure you use your line clip for more accurate casting. Use 2 bank sticks at a meter or 2 apart to measure any back up rods. Try using a target float if your casting at distance so you have some thing to aim at. I used to go to the bank and practice casting to the same stop until my aim & casting improved alot. The line clip is a must when you're fishing a tight area especially at longer distances. Practise makes prefect. Remember when using your line clip to make it a little bit shorter when you've clipped up as a full feeder will have more weight and will stretch your line and don't forget to take your hook length into account especially when fishing close to a far bank.
