I've got to say... the professionalism of your videos really sets your channel apart from everyone else. Given the high altitude shots, I assume that you bring a drone with you on all of your trips. The transitions are smooth, the views are stunning, and the music always matches the topic. You really do outstanding work and you deserve any praise you receive - the video quality, and the time dedicated to editing, really shows. Bravo.

Stayed here last year and it was stunning in every way! Although we did enjoy the historical layers of Amangalla more, Amanwella was just visually arresting. Thank you for this gorgeous video. Aching to go back to Sri Lanka again!

the surroundings seem really quite and still..i like the open concept of the restaurant, i love the bed and the antique piece at the foot of the bed, i'm not a tub person but that tub is sweet, love the pool areas as well...cool video

Highlights of this resort
-The incredible views of the beach across the pool. Try to capture the sea by night once in a while for the phosphorescence effect.
-The candlelit tables, thus the romantic ambience with muted lighting and vistas of the bay.
- The sprawling coconut groves.

Another superb video with style, music and amount of detail precisely the way I prefer. Please please please try to get to Bhutan where there are a string of Aman Hotels for Aman junkies who want to explore the whole country while always in Aman style of luxury. Six Senses is also opening a string of hotels later this year in Bhutan for their junkies. Granted... no turquoise tropical beaches in Bhutan but you have the mighty Himalaya always around you giving you incredible feeling awe and serenity. And the architecture is really beautiful with Himalayan art everywhere you go. People are super friendly too!

Thank you for your kind comment. I put quite some effort in the drone footage indeed, and was pleasantly surprised with the result myself :-). That said, it would be hard to take bad drone footage of a stunning resort like Amanwella!

Indeed beautiful a spiritual treat of atmosphere I do not have a certain preference regarding hotels I can stay even in the most simple place as long as it is hygienic clean.
I love all of Aman's Japan properties, Amanzoe and Amanoi
But luckily I stayed in this hotel for a week when I did audit of Aman group..... nice memories😢

Amanpulo in the Philippines is the Best of all Aman hotels and resorts..
It has The worlds clearest ocean water and whitest powdery sands! Its Unbeatable..Its a slice of Heaven on Earth!!!

Srilanka beach in front the hotel is more beautifull than Phillpines
Yogesha Amanwella is only $600-700 per day. While Amanpulo is $900 or more a day. Famous celebs businessmans visited amanpulo.nf if Amanpulo is dirty then i think you must blame Amanpulo Aman Resort in that case. Amanpulo brings money. Almost always full.
Oih im sorry Amanpulo is $1700 based on todays price while Amanwella is only $600-700 per day. Talking about exclusivity. Now tell me why the price if amanpulo is dirty they wont come visit amanpulo .. a poor $700 compare to $ 1700 hahahaha.

What a lovely and serine place. I like the minimalist contemporary design of the property.The greenscapes and water features of the property just aids in the relaxation this property affords. To me, Aman resorts takes into account of the relaxation effect, with it's use of a light color palate, glass, dark wood features and over stuffed furniture. I love that it sits on a nice beach and coconut plantation. The forethought of their poolscapes, how can you not relax and enjoy. The room and it's furnishing is what you would expect with this group. I like the fact that you can watch the sunset.The fact that the decor is light, you really enjoy the natural beauty of the area. As for the dinning room minimalist, you can focus on your meals. The menu looks enticing, with it's offering of local and standard dishes. The lack of art on the walls, is their idea of "let the presentation of food be the art work". Over all Aman does a wonderful job with their properties. Still my favorite is Amanpuri Phuket. That pool is just amazing. Oh, sorry for the lack of comments lately. I now can watch UA-cam on my TV, so I forget to comment.

I have stayed here and it's very beautiful. They pluck coconuts right off the trees near the public pool area and cut it for you on the spot.

Mine is probably four seasons or soneva. I stayed in the four seasons lanai four seasons Lanai a little earlier and it was elite. I think soneva fushi is the best in the soneva brand. I liked it the most because of it super clear water and super cool marine diversity around it.

Great review, best camera work and editing yet. One thing is missing for me though, at each resort, how long is it ideal to stay? At some resorts, you get bored as there is little around to do and the resort itself its done after maybe four days... This Aman is amazing, but apart from a fishing village, I guess after four days with nothing else around, the beach has worn off and its time to move on? As to your question, my favourite hotel brand(s), I would have to say Dorchester Collection and Peninsula Hotels. Also, I think one of the reasons they don't have to advertise is due to them being on the American Express FHR list, so I bet cardmembers make up a large part of their guests!?
Thanks James for your great comment. If you only stay at Amanwella for a beach holiday, I would recommend at least 4 nights to take in the tranquility and remoteness of the location. That said, the resort is ideally located as a base to explore some of southern Sri Lanka's attractions, such as Fort Galle (unesco world heritage site) and Yala National Park (leopard spotting). So you can easily spend a week here without getting bored. I wish you safe travels!
My favorite AMAN No.1 Amanusa the best service ever and lovely staffs. But very sad after they closed Amanusa.

Love the videos, I have always enjoyed the Aman videos but started to notice there are barely any guests..? Was it quiet when you went? sometimes its nice to have an atmosphere at dinner with other guests also, still love the Aman brand though
Yes, there were other guests around, but I mostly filmed when there was nobody around as not to disturb them ;-)
Beautiful pool but the ocean is too rough. After what happened in Colombo I would be too scared to go. They also have crocs and snakes there.

Wonderful beach in that drone footage but is the beach easy to walk on, i.e., is the underwater sand surface mostly sandy or rocky with lots of coral which might make walking a tad hazardous?
The beach is very easy to walk on and the ocean bed in front of the beach is sandy.
It's a chaise longue at the foot of the bed, not an "armoire".
I went to srilanka in 2019 , we were planning to stay at amanwella but it was out of budget for us 😅!
Ive never been to any Aman resorts yet.. cant even afford a Jollibee. Maybe in the future. And im busy taking care of my mom who now acts like a kid coz of heart attack.

Slow panning shots are so jittery/blurry and the bitrate could be better, I hope you get a better camera or at least switch to 60fps in the future. I like your style of editing though and the places are amazing. : )
