Hi , Nitin ! I am following you on youtube for several years now ( as a subscriber ) , because I consider you a great watercolorist and a talented teacher ! I would like to suggest you - if you think it is worth doing so - to start making tutorials painting after pictures of cities and landscapes from other parts of the world , as well . India is a big and beautiful country , but painting ( almost ) only Indian subjects is keeping you in the same range of colour combinations and architecture lines . Irrespective of your decision , I will continue to follow your nice work ! Thanks .
I know I need to get out my “rough” paper to follow along when I see a new video from Sir Nitin … 😅 Also too, I think most become frustrated at beginner tutorials which are in no way “beginner” & certain needed art supplies are getting smaller yet more costly. Beginners need to practice & that means using a lot of paper n paint. It’s supposed to be fun & relaxing … ain’t no masterpieces on cave walls, yet those squibbles are world heritage art. I’d love to know if anyone drawing cared about the “lighfastness” of that 5000 yr paint 😁
I'd like to see some watercolour portraits here. It's an overstatement that watercolour is connected with "practice," But I suggest painting is more to do with your inner relationship with reality

I'd love to learn how you mix your blacks for shadowing. I know the "use complementary colors" trick, but when I go to shadowing I never get the effortless darks you seem to get. "Practice, practice, practice!" I guess..
Cool.. Its easy to say, but when we actually hold the brush, everything is mess. you have a lot of control with your brush and tones. I can do this with watercolours and pen, but i am seriously trying to shift to just watercolours without pen, which I am failing repeatedly. People who see my work with colour and pen say, wow, but, I feel I should get same accuracy even without pen, hopefully I get it, but my pen work I have several years of practice. So I know why I am failing. It is time, and constant practice. Thank you.
You have to know how to draw before you attempt water colour. It’s all to do with confidence in your drawing ability. Controlling value of colours comes later.
