  • The battle over American lithium has its epicenter in the remote desert of Northern Nevada, where a mining company has laid claim to possibly the largest lithium deposit in the world. Two consecutive presidencies have pushed to mine the mineral for electric car batteries and green energy initiatives, and after a decade of legal battles, the mine is now moving forward. But it will have a major impact on thousands of people who live nearby, including Native American tribes who consider the land sacred. This series explains what exactly is happening at Thacker Pass, including the previously untold stories of those who will feel its impact the most; some who are still fighting the mine, and others who are making the best of it.

Very well done series. Convinced me to start dollar cost averaging into LAC stock. This is a long term project and a long term investment.

Even the thought that the land considered "sacred" by natives would hinder the future of US manufacturing is insane. The future of the US's independence is infinitely more important than some pagan belief, it's actually absurd discourse is even heard on this.
