The golden age of ASMR. Back when youtube and even the internet as a whole was so much more simple. While video editing quality and recording has improved I actually find a lot of the modern ASMR videos too distracting, like there’s too much going on. These original simpler ones that first captivated me will always be my favorite. Keep up the great work Maria and thanks for the content.

I used to lobe watching my teachers read us books in grade school, it was divine watching her turn the pages. Love these older videos Maria, golden.
My issue with the newer videos is the high quality mics. When you get tingles in real life, you’re not hearing things at high frequency like you are with mics used now. It’s makes everything so loud, that it takes away from the authenticity. That’s why I love ASMR from this era. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the newer videos, but I rarely get tingles from them anymore.

I have been following your channel for 12 years this year :) witnessing your journey. But I still like to go back to the old ones, they have such a warm nostalgic feel :)
A lot of current ASMR isn’t ASMR. It’s just people cashing in on ASMR but bring anything but ASMR. It’s bizarre just how far removed so called current ASMR has become. There are still some genuine ASMR artists but even they tend to use scripted dialogue and lots of distracting visuals. That’s why I’m so glad there’s a back catalogue of early ASMR to explore. Maria’s older videos are by far my favourite ASMR. My favourite current ASMR is Southern ASMR sounds. Take care 👍

This is a time capsule
I've been trying to find a channel which does microphone adjustments as in the judges microphone in a court hearing. If you watch for example the court trial of Johnny Depp/Amber Heard the judge adjusts her microphone. I LOVE this sound.
