Good video I started transition at 17. I was a junior in high school. It was 2003.My mom called the police on me. I was a bullied and homeless teenager. I am 30 now . I have hormones and surgery now it was tough. Things got better.
Hey Ryan , Great Video !! Honestly, you making these videos was one of the reasons I even had the courage to start my own channel for my transition ! Keep being authentically you and spreading the good vibes !
Honestly, more high schools should be like yours. At my school, half these things... like your boy name in the yearbook and the whole changing issue... would've probably made it in the news and caused so many different opinions that it would've caused a disruption. But yet your coming out was so accepted, and even if it wasn't, it doesn't seem like many people in high school were coming up to you to share their opinion. I'm neither lesbian or trans, but i do believe they should just be treated with normalcy and respect like everybody else who is straight or one-sex. It was nice hearing about a school who was so accepting.
my mom took all my social media and started taking me to church after i said i was bi and started dressing as a boy. she doesnt know i have 5 twitter accounts and a facebook...she kind of ignores me because she hates lgbtq+ and she doesnt understand my anxiety and depression...i wish i was dead, but then i remember that there is people in life at school and all over the world that care, and love eachother for who they are. be who you want to be, if you beleive you are a unicorn go be a unicorn you fabulous beat ;3
Glad to hear your friends were supportive of you! When I came out to my peers (prior to my transition) they were open and happy for me. It's been 4 years since.
You know Ryan i always am happy to see your videos you are I guess you can say my hero because before I seen you I had no hope and now I am almost ready to start my true transition. Thanks Ryan.
Honestly same story except I'm homeschooled now. I'm kinda thinking about going back for senoir year. The only thing stopping me is the graduation part. Not really out to my parents yet. Quick question, when you told the teachers about your preferred name, did you also tell the principal? Did they have to confirm it with your parents or??
Im 14 turing 15 August 10th transitioning before 9th grade im going into 9th grade in September yay also i go by Sam now but my mom likes my birth name.and my aunt and uncle wont call me Sam imma try to change my name at school
I came out to my mom a little over a year ago and she didn't take it well at first. But time passed and now she wants to learn more about it because she doesn't want me growing up to hate her. I feel like I'm making progress and watching your videos give me so much hope. 💗💗
I'm a sophomore in Highschool, I came out last year and went through the same thing, except one of my friends had said my preferred name to there parents, and then there parents asked mine about it. Love my life, but it worked out. But just want to leave this here #transguysaresmbetter
