My grandparents used to live in TIRAP GATE (near lekhapani) in the sixties. They used to tell me that during the 1962 war the people were very afraid as armymen took almost every corner of the place and took positions for ambush in and around the stilwell road in case the chinese were to come from there. The people at that point of time were also afraid of the Indian army. Feel good to see that this area is getting attention. I am from Margherita and one of my friends lives in Tirap Gate. She told me that the area is much more safe than it used to be just a few days ago. Insurgency has decreased considerably and infrastructure has developed very much.

Here I would like to request StratNewsGlobal team to make a more video on
    1. Why Government of india settled the Assam Rifles ex- Servicemen in the region?
    2. What was the purpose behind it?
    3. Why their generation now facing difficulties to achieve status on land right issues, PRC and so on
    4. Why government are ignoring them to fullfill their requirement as they were settled by Government of india only.
Your such video will help people of Vijaynagar

Dear Amithabh Revi and crews read the comment section, many good comments were posted by people here about your news. Your channel is doing a big task. You brought out the development achieved this area now and also the residents in comment section says how long their area was kept underdeveloped and they were unable to get primary services at long walk. Now those people shifted for better options found that ther home land is also developing, modernising with roads and new facilities. This knowledge making them happy as well as the past history unknown to all is also mentioned here. Good job

@@innurabha9348 the road is being constructed and it will take time but you can travel if you want the authentic off-road experience.
Also, most Nepalese and even mizos and others who are families of assam rifles working under british government and later independent Indian govt are not indigenous. The lisus/yobins are the indigenous of this land.
I am not yobin but I will stand with the indigenous people because in arunachal, many refugees, immigrants and even central government employees and mainland Indians have illegally entered our state arunachal and especially my district changlang.
Most of our plain lands in the border areas snatched by the assam government and Bengalis and nepalis settled in those areas.
Whereas our people always had good relations with the authentic assamese tribes of the plains.

The Gurkhas have been the first settlers who cleared the thick jungles and made places accessible during the early British era. The major hill cities of north-east were either a small hamlet or non-existent until Gurkhas settled. With them came a bit of farming methods and many more which were not known to NE hill people. Sadly, they are treated as out-siders today. Only those who have lived know the difficulties of make settlement in a hostile environment. They have lost their rights because of being very friendly/soft natured and non-demanding.

Sino-Burma boundary agreement had been signed and effected on ground in 1960. This was known to Indian Foriegn Office. Therefore, it is difficult to believe that 3000 Chinese were likely to tresspass into this salient through Burma, with whom they had settled their border amicably during the previous year. Is this an exercise in narratove building?

The PLA left on their own accord. Nehru was cowering underneath his desk at that time.

@vishalvedio5768 that was the original plan. the assam rifles offered their veteran gurkhas a resettlement package there. some took up the offer. many didn’t.
