Veganism is, after all, not a diet, but an ethical system for interacting with non-human animals. If you're interested in that, Animal Liberation by Peter Singer (himself not a vegan, but lays out the arguments perfectly in the book) is a great read!

I kind of have an interesting book suggestion by Stuart Chase called response in the living and nonliving, it does explain how plants express pain signals (not making an argument just a note) but the scientists have to use lasers. One interesting one was a cucumber expressing an extreme pain when a long pin was pushed through it. It's a cool study, cant recall the name.

It's pretty crazy how when basically anyone gets exposed to Jews and their culture as they grow up, they realize they're pretty great as far as religious types go. In my experience they're more friendly than Protestants and Catholics on average. Sure, some of their food rules are strange, but it bred a kind of creativity that makes their food unique and interesting.
The hassle of finding well done kosher food in my small ~1 million pop city is legitimately saddening. Hell I'd be happy just trying mediocre kosher meals tbh
to be honnest, educated muslims can live with jews for very long (morocco lmao, shielding jews since the spanish inquisition). A mixed state is possible, we just need to keep every worst religious examples out of it till it solidifies
Most of the Jewish people I know are the progressive secular type, and it seems obvious to me that that is the kind of model that Christianity and other religions will eventually have to follow (or rather will naturally follow) if they want to continue existing in large numbers. We can already see it happening in Sweden and Denmark.

I disagree with Vaush on the "Emotions are not a vat that can be emptied" thing, when I'm angry and headbang to some NIN it definitely does steam out my anger.
But you're probably turning it into something positive. I hate that claim about Muslim countries being more peaceful for Jews. Morroco is known as one of the most peaceful countries for Jews and they were segregated into mellahs, fortified gated ghettos, for 500 years!
