I liked your comment about having the chops to drop in and do a one-take song (well, maybe many takes until they get the right one, but one shot straight-through, no edit). It's one of the things I love most about PMJ. And they have so *many* performers who manage the task.
It seems strange that I’m the modern times the ability to perform a piece flawlessly in one take is seen as being a rarity. But it kind of makes sense, we live in a world of unlimited edits, and studio time, and melodyne, etc etc. You can be a mega star today without ever having to develop your craft. (To the level of performers of the past) There’s just something about watching people perform on such a high level that is captivating though.

Glad you are enjoying PMJ. Scott has released literally hundreds of videos over the past 12 years, with most of them One Camera One Take. He's learned a lot over the years and grown successful in doing so. As an example of how good his concept, arranging skills, and ability to bring the "right" musicians together is the 3rd video he ever release for PMJ. He marinated together a jazz vocalist, Niia Bertino together with a cello, harp and keyboards to do an incredible interpretation of Rihanna's Only Girl (in the World). It was a failure in the sense of the lighting of course but the vocal/music end results were wonderful, so much so that Niia has become one of the most intriguing artists I follow on her channel. Not only was Morgan James a graduate of Julliard - yes, *that* Julliard, she did both Broadway and Opera. So, with that kind of background, she had the solid foundation to tackle something as complex as the classic rock song "Dream on." Steven Tyler has an amazing voice range but not only did Morgan match it, octave for octave, she *twisted* it into her own thing. Combined the fact that she has the clear advantage of adding in a feminine sultry sexiness that was as smooth as velvet/silk/honey/and milk.
