Can you help with a wiring question. Do you extend the on/off switch of oe esc to the swich on the boat, and cut off the other one and make sure the wires are seperated?
HELP just tested my xxl KIT boat for the first time, I can go 100m drop my bait and return 50m then handset warning kicks in says flat battery one motor still worked goes in circles, got it back and the battery is 5.8v and the hand set showed full battery in the boat. did a re-run and same thing happened again. So took it home, put it in the BATH with these results at full throttle -- start volts 5.8v after 2 mins 5.4v after 3 mins 4.7v after 3.5 mins 4.3v warning sound at handset followed by one motor shutdown i found i can use either motor but not at the same time. After one min rest 5.8v at boat and hanset shows full battery again. Can anyone please offer some advice.

Aup buddy I’m building one at the moment got a few questions first one is about the hopper release pin how to mount the tube and pin other is about the dimmer connection did you get a connector to fit the one on the brain or did you cut it off and hard wire cheers lee
lee riley Hi the dimmer pin I just removed and soldered the connections. For the hopper release fit the flap first then mount servo in boat make sure that the servo has a fall from the tube down to the hopper flap so the water will not travel up hill. Use some grease or vas. In tube this help stop water ingress as well. Find the angle of the servo arm towards the bait flap and find the height to make a hole don’t go to tight to the flap. Make a hole and fit tube and support bracket inside boat with sealer. Fit inner servo arm adjust and trim to suit. 👍
I bought one off these from Amazon and have nothing but trouble trying to wire it up . I followed the German video as best I could but it does not work right . I can see now that you got a new brain box as you called it in the kit I never got that part. We're did you buy from as I think once I can get that part j can follow your bid and finish the build at last . Cheers for any info.
Hi Jeff I got the boat kit though eBay via mk angel sport. they have a web site. I think if you get the black box you will be able to wire up no problem. try giving them a go.
@@carping247 unfortunately mate the after sell service from the company is a joke and the warranty as I bought it through Amazon and was given broken bits that they would not replace and have asked for help which they have been not helpful and infect are in trouble with Amazon due to the way they treated me after sell. Good luck with yours wish I hadn't bought mine.😖
@@carping247 hi there again mate just wondering if you having problems with the boat not reversing as i think the weed guards are stopping the water passing through under the boat and it will not reverse so im going to cut some of the back of the weed guard off and see if this makes any difference. did you get the weed guards in your kit? i think they supplied them but never tested it?
Jeff Hendy Hi I have left a small gap at back of weed guard to allow water to pass though. I have also put a tube over the prop to protect from running over my lines. Seem to work ok. I will put some more video up soon to show.

I dont suppose you are able to check inside your boat brain? I have just connected mine all up, gone to plug in a battery and it fried the battery lead. I have opened the box and one of the out going leads to esc has cross polarity however not sure if this is meant to be here
Daniel Hogg Hi Daniel Sorry I can open the unit as it is sealed in the boat. I think there is only a diode in side for the dimming of the lights. Hope you get it sorted.
Hi Dave I have up rated to 12volt lit-ion battery and reduced to 60% power to motors via hand set. I found the 6volt speed to be not bad as the boat is very light. but the fish finder that I'm running need 12volt so up rated batteries. With 12volt I think you need to reduce the power to the motors otherwise when on the water you find it hard to not run too much power to the engine.

Hello again,i just bought this boat and it seems that now i have the same problem as Jeff Hendy.My kit did not come with the ,,brain" box that you have,instead it came with a little something which is called speed controller from novatech,and this little something is supposed to modify the intensity of the lights,but after i wired all together,just like they did in the official german video posted here on youtube,the lights dont work.They are saying to cut the red wire that goes from this speed controller into the the receiver,i did that and neither the lights,nor the digital screen from the back of the boat worked.I reconected the red wire,and now the digital screen from the back of the boat stays lit,but the lights only blinks.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

@@carping247 Thank you very much for your reply.In their official video,which can be found here : ua-cam.com/video/xo13Py-K7jg/v-deo.html at minute 26.24 you can see clearly that the red wire has been cut.I tried everything,first time i've conected the wires in paralel (positive to positive and negative to negative),followed everything that guy does in his video,and the lights only blink,but in order to do that the red wire wasnt cut,and the lights only blink if i move the stick of the radio-command a few millimeters forward,if i move it more the lights will go off.The momment i cut the red wire the lights wont work anymore.I also tried to conect the wires in series (pozitive to negative) and it didnt work at all,the light dont even blink anymore.The rest of the electronics (the servos,the engines,the speed controllers and the digital voltmeter) works well.I've sent them an emeail,in which i explained my problem and their answer was that i should try and conect the wires the other way....Dont know what other way i could do that...Anyway,sorry for my long reply,i hope you'll find a solution,and i really hope that the speed controller from novatech isnt broken.Best wishes,Daniel.
Daniel Madussi Hi just been looking at the wiring and seems that you need to wire the red wire to live direct from battery and the black wire direct to earth on battery. Then the red and black wire that say LED straight to the lights. Make sure you remove the red wire from receiver pin. Then wire one speed controller to on off switch. Wire the live wire from battery meter to the red LED red wire (this is a permanent live. Then wire the earth wire from battery meter to one side of the on off switch and run another earth from battery to on off switch so as to be a switching earth. This will power up battery meter via the on off switch went boat switched on
hello , i'm stuck on how to plug in my battery meter and my on off button! as mine isn't the same switch as yours and in the original movie from CM they don't show how you connect the on off button.
steven peeters To wire up the on off switch you need to use the wire from the speed controller just one side remove micro switch and extend wire to new switch. The battery meter needs to be feed from battery’s wire a permanent live to one side of the battery meter and wire a earth to the other side via the on off switch so when turned on the battery meter will become live. Use a switch which has 2 channel so not on the same terminals as speed controller. Hope this helps.

can i ask if your happy with the boats speed on 6v with those motors as im in the process of starting a build and thinking 12v with the dirt devils

Hi Basically it just a simple connection to the motors and contains a diode for the dimming of the boat lights.
Some kits come without it.
