This seems to be a nice little machine. Unfortunately, the background music made it difficult to pay attention to what you were saying. Please get rid of background noise, or at least cut the volume WAY down. So, did you get Linux installed? I have two Acer netbooks, and installed Linux Mint on one of them. Mint with Cinnamon works decently (although I do not play video games on mine, my idea of games is writing my own programs.) I tried Puppy Linux a while back, but was not happy with it. I currently have MS-DOS 6.22 installed, and love that. The only thing that is missing is a battery monitor; I haven't been able to figure out how much charge is left on my battery. (Actually, I don't have sound, yet - but that isn't too bad for me.) My next attempt, with this netbook will probably be to install Linux Mint with the XFCE desktop environment.
I actually didn’t realize there was an audio issue until way after the upload. The sound volume is okay but unfortunately the voice is only on one side (mono) making it not that comfortable to listen to with a headset. I used windows XP in the video as that was the original OS but have currently Mint installed which works perfectly to be honest. :)
I've installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTE i386 edition on the ASUS 1000H, it has still support until 2026 and runs OK. Because of the small screen you can adjusted the screen option to scale at 75% and make the icons in the menu smaller to display everything on this small screen.

@@techwithdaan its windows storage 32 has been corrupt or missing by now....

my dad used to have this netbook and upgraded to windows 10 but its now abandoned without its charger
That's a shame, upgrading to that os will make this thing incredibly slow, I'm keeping mine for retro gaming :)

Me too 👍
Try the chell 1.8 drivers, it will give way better performance on the games you tested
I will give that a try, thanks for the recommendation!
