@@CarpeNoctem135 regardless you can continue, the third is just really abruptly back into it. Sell the artifact for the mission reward and be about your day
I have a feeling that the third ending, the self-deleting one, speaks of the consequences of prolonged survival in the radius. The character never speaks, but when he shoots himself, the typical groan of a mimic dying plays. And the character comes back to Vanno, the final artifact resting in his hideout, the tide timer reset. The character himself is not human anymore, he's just a self-conscious mimic, unless EVERY mimic is self-conscious. An ending that makes you think. If we could find any human remains somewhere inside Vanno, that could be us. Alas, I never found anything of the like, so mine remains a theory.
The third ending is suppose to mean we're a mimic, something I noticed about the mimic models (If you use a 3D model program) is that all of them have the base model of Explorer 61.
The entity at the end does specify that we never existed, we are just a product of them. We were a test by the entity to see how close it could get to a person.
I got a little confused at who I was supposed to shot, so I capped myself in the face
An understandable choice given the situation lol.
i just did the exact same and thought i broke the game
Are you able to continue playing regardless of your choice or only from the 3rd option?
Regardless of choice, you can continue.

can't believe i did all that stuff just to shoot myself in the end and then get boring ahh ending
I have the whole “overprotective big brother” energy, so on instinct I freed katya

when your armor gets damaged you dont see normal red human blood you see the black goop the mimics and entities are made of on your armor
I thought that was the radius screaming
*AND THATS A THEORY! A GAME THEORY!*

I'm pretty sure the kill Katya ending is the cannon ending, it kinda sets up a reason to go back in 2. That is if we're playing Explorer 61 again
I think you might be right, honestly. It's the only one that made any sense.
That cough scared the shit out of me
Sorry, not really lol.
Honestly, I might have choked on my own spit. I don't remember.
Ultimately, it seems that all three options take you to the same place. Will there be any advantage if we continue playing with an option over other?
Not that I'm aware of. Just multiple ending options for the sake of having them.
@@MaxDaStubid Don't remember about the other two, but if you shoot yourself, you have a 15000$ artifact to sell.
*This is why I am not as excited for the sequel. I would have much rather had a continuation of Explorer 61's journey.*
When you have a game with multiple endings, its hard to follow up on. You wont know how to continue it.
