I recently saw Delain play in Southampton, UK, and I remember really liking the support act, but couldn't for the life of me remember what they were called...I just had 'grey' stuck in my head. I eventually remembered that the band was called Evergrey, but only after stumbling across these guys on UA-cam! Really glad I couldn't remember who Evergrey were, otherwise I wouldn't have come across Greywind!
Both Greywind and Evergrey deserve listens!
This song kicks. I love the verse sections the way they staccato the notes with the spaces... Makes it so heavy. The band has been on my rotation on my playlist for at least 3 weeks now. More please Greywind🎸🎸🎸

With Flyleaf finally potentially disbanding... The kinda more melodic sounding alt/posthardcore band from that era maybe 10/15 years ago breaking up, you can hear their influence in the direction of some of the newer bands coming through in subgenres. imo ofc
I am glad these 2 are doing well doing what plenty of us have tried, and been shunned for over the years as 'too emo' or 'paramore rippoffs' by the majority of people - hopefully this will swing the door back open for a whole range of bands.
