Queensland Flood 2022 - Maryborough FLOOD BARRIER by Geodesign Barriers

Video of how Maryborough CBD was protected from flooding in February 2022 after heavy rainfall in Queensland, Australia. Fraser Coast Regional Council did a great job of erecting the temporary flood levee from Geodesign Barriers, a Swedish flood barrier manufacturer. Mayor George Seymour did a tremendous job leading the volunteers in deploying and assembling the barrier as well as keeping the public informed and up to speed.
The steel and aluminum levee held back the flood waters and saved the business district in Maryborough from being inundated.
