Great job, always hard to put together a list like this but I'm impressed. I think with Hawkins it's worth noting he's led the goal assist stat for a number of years (or very close to top), him passing off is nearly as deadly as him having a shot.
Great list, would've thrown Cripps in there even though he hasn't had great form and I'm not sure if I'd put Naitanui that high even though he's a gun ruckman but apart from that I reckon you nailed it 👍
Good list, Agree with Greene in there even though it's probably not popular. I would put Heeney in the top 20. Has had an injury interrupted career so far but looks fit so likely playing more midfield minutes this year- his best form is about to be revealed!!
Dangerfield should still be up there. 8 straight AAs to 2020 bar one and just was injured in 2021 like Martin and Fyfe. Don’t know why those two are there and he isn’t
Dangerfield played a solid chuck of 2021 and his averages did not fall in the elite category for any of the key stats. I do think it's foolish to write off the greats (and danger is absolutely one) but his stats weren't elite for the games he played last year.
I think guys like Parish and Lachie Neale grow on trees. I mean Zac Merrett is a lot more damaging than parish. And a bit of a roughie but Charlie Cameron would give opposition coaches far bigger headaches than guys like Boak, Parish and Macrae.

Tom Mitchell 13. Jack Macrae 14. Lachie Neale 15. Patrick Dangerfield 16. Darcy Parish 17. Toby Greene 18. Nic Natanui 19. Jeremy Cameroon 20. Harry Mackay
I found the list quite accurate. I am an Eagles fan and think Nic Nat deserved to 20 but lower, maybe you could have put Flying Ryan in though. Otherwise I will admit Kennedy is well past prime. In my opinion Danaher, Charlie Dixon, some more Richmond and a some Swans players could have made it.

I'll make a daring call and say Zak Butters doesn't just break into the top-10 this year, but I'll call top-3 by the end of the season, with only Petracca and Bontempelli to be recognised as better.
@@TrueFootyAFL Fair to say I'm a massive Butters bull and one game in I'm not less confident. He's looking good through the midfield. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Heeney and Rowell also were top-5 in competition players come seasons end. They're both looking incredible. Heeney will benefit from the greater midfield opportunity he gets once Papley returns, then Rowell if not this year, looks like he can very soon break some contested possession records, which is ridiculous for a sub 180cm mid.
Keen to know if Josh Bruce would have snuck into your 20 if he didn’t end up doing his knee? Underrated season. Ended up kicking a couple more bags than Cameron
Was Danger not the all-Australian captain in 2020? Shouldn’t he be included (like around 10th obviously he will have dropped) under the same reasoning as Dusty. Also Hawkins is miles better than the other key forwards in the comp. He gets similar goal totals to Jezza, McKay, Dixon, but gets a ridiculous number of goal assists with it. If he decided to kick all his set shots he would win the Coleman by 15 every year. But he gives half of them away for a kick 5m closer to goal. And maybe include another defender?
Agree on Hawkins but Danger had a down year and I think it's fair at his age to be hesitant to include him on such a competitive list. Could easily jump back in this year though.
@@telltellyn I agree but by that logic Dusty should be nowhere near the top 5. In my ranking Danger wouldn’t be on it altogether and Dusty maybe scrapes in, but my point about Danger is his list is inconsistent with that logic, and only uses it for that one player when it should also apply to others. That’s regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the logic he used for Dusty.
Sorry I like you blogs but where does Brisbane come off with only one, sorry but some players standout in poor sides ie. Kevin Murray from Fitzroy or John Murphy but players who stand out in quality teams should be mentioned. quite impress that McKay missed 19 games and still won the coleman
My guy averaged 19 goals a game
I feel like having the only defender in that list being Tom Stewart is a bit harsh.

Digging the Mullet, Wife beater combo.
What the fuck 😂 “wife beater”

BIG CALL: Serong comes top 10 in brownlow
I feel like serong is going to be the most overhyped player of the pre season.
Yeah Jai Serong is good hey
How is he going to do that when being paired with brayshaw and fyfe, all whilsts playing like 60% of the game
nah gotta be Errol gulden
That would be insane to see!!
Good list, Agree with Greene in there even though it's probably not popular. I would put Heeney in the top 20. Has had an injury interrupted career so far but looks fit so likely playing more midfield minutes this year- his best form is about to be revealed!!
Big call: Cripps will rise again and be around the top 10ish/Brownlow talk
I dont think thats a big call. I dont like carlton as a dockers fan so this aint bias either

Idk whether Isaac Heeney has had an AA Yet, but I reckon he'll get one this year.
Weitering played amazing football in defence against the best forwards and genuinely beat most of them in a team with very little two way running.

I think Toby Green is a bit high, and I cannot fathom how Dangerfield cannot be considered a top 20 player.
literally been the best player for the past 5 years (not including 2021) and doesnt make a top 20 lol

Stewart is the best defender in the comp and you haven’t even named him
Yay
Mitchell for Boak or Stewart and i would agree with almost everything else
It’s difficult to go past Melbourne this year with 3 in the list
fucken hell our whole team is underrated parker and mills should be there and heeney

I don’t think so
Guess Darcy Moore plays cricket it seems
Great video. Zach Merrett stiff.
Wines is outrageously too high for me and May and Lever deserved a spot each here
ik im late but how? he won the brownlow and was probably the best player last year
Gawn has 5 AA Jackets!
Dangerfield has 8 !

Dylan Moore gets top 5 in Coleman
Sam Walsh doesn’t win Blues B&F
Ben Hobbs wins rising star
where is zak butters
Zac Merrett? Best kicking mid in the comp?

The stingiest backline in the league can't get one player?
I'd pick Lever or May before half of these guys.
No swans ?
there is 12 that would not make my team of best players.
A Brownlow medallist isn’t the 6th best player in the league
WHERE THE HELL IS TOM MITCHELL!!!
Tom Mitchell very unlucky
Fyfe?
I don’t understand how you say parish and wines need to prove themselves more and yet u have Walsh over Hawkins, Macrae, Neale and merrett

Walsh is a genuine freak of nature. Top 5 midfielder in the comp at 21 years of age

How could u not have Zach Merrett in ur top 20 🤦
