- After taking the Tao Tao Thunder apart 5 times I figured out what was wrong with it.Going to do a full big bore rebuild.Check out Tao Tao troubles part 1 and part 2.Next video will be the bbk and new valve head.

The biggest mistake people make DUE TO BIG BORING & OVER HEATING is obviously the same mistake you also made here...this also goes with out big boring. (NEVER) RUN ANY SCOOTER WITHOUT ITS COOLING SHROUD.

I KNOW IT LOOKS COOL WITH OUT IT, BUT ITS A MUST. THAT'S YOUR MAIN COOLING SYSTEM...keep this in mind folks!
I did a 100cc big bore kit and put the cooling shroud back on and had no issues. I agree with this
Yes, that was the first thing I noticed. I've done two big bore kits with the shrouds on with no problems

They seem to be notorious for having not adjusted valves.and the exhaust valves are always tight from a taotao.
I've got a 105 cc big bore kit. No oil cooling of any kind. Mine does fine. When I ride mine I ride for hours non stop. No issues
I think the problem was the "gasket maker".
Looks like you put the rocker assembly on upside down, thats why it broke
If your crank shaft is bad in some way. It will tear up your piston. What happens is the needle bearing on your rod that the piston rides on will get jerked around. Fail and then bang. There goes your piston again. I had this problem. Until I installed a new crank and all new bearing's throughout the motor. If your taking in air in the case or head due to bad seals or a crack in something somewhere. It will blow up your piston also.

No complaints about the Tata. As it's in a million pieces.
New valve head. Valves don't move. The older they get the more you can push them out by hand
you do realize putting a big bore kit requires you to cool the oil somehow right? you can take that thing apart a 1000 times if you want.. you will always have issues if you don't cool the oil.(aside from some other things that need upgrading as well) i've been doing maintenance on these things for quite a while so i have first hand experience.. people don't realize what needs to be done when upgrading their engines..
what are your suggestions you need to do when installing a big bore kit?
The reason you’re frying your engine is because you failed to reinstall the plastic cooling shrouds, they’re there for a reason and they will fit even with a BBK!
Using the gasket it comes with 😂 don't do a messy job with gasket maker like he did
@@dmshar5 that not true at all 2 years now and my 80cc kit is still going without it. And for one his blew up because he used gasket maker and did a poor job and oil couldnt get in head
@@verriahowe4334 howe if you think you can get away with a motor without a cooling system well its been a year so i sappose you already figured it out. as far as the gasket maker being his issue. first you need to read the instructions before applying it. second he installed a bbk without upgrading the rest and a non restrictive cdi, riding of the autoenricher system carb, riding of the vacume fed gas system deleting the egr system entirely, you cant just add a bbk and be all yeah my scooter is gonna be the shit and not blow the f up.
