I did, in the timelapse you can just see me getting them nipped down in a circular pattern. I went over everything in a star pattern with the torque wrench, and then around in a circle just to double check torque.
I Didn't want to trust those Chinese made spring compressors so I made my own with some 16mm all thread and bushes. When I installed springs in my 80 series.
@@Brennomac83 True, but also jacking the car up until the wheels want to come off the ground essentially has the same effect. I would prefer to leave the wheels on for safety. The springs in the rear were just that bloody firm 🤣
I have an XTM dual piston compressor same as yours...its been flaming useless from brand new. Overheats and cuts out before I've even inflated 2 x 33" tyres.
@@pullingguard1527 Yeah well, let’s just say I spend most of my time at the servo. It’s definitely not a fan of city driving on 35’s. On the highway it’s not too bad.
Its a big rig Kempy, looks mint! Well done fellas.
@@OutdoorsCBR Cheers mate! Super happy with it 🤙🏼
Good onya mate. Good video
@@SRadford Thanks mate!
Can we get a video next of you doing some yard cleanup work please?.
@@AngusBrady-st2gi Deal.
That looks sick! Are the tyres on backwards?
Thanks mate! I'm 99% sure they're a multi-directional tyre, unlike something like a Trepador.
Ok cool. I always thought the v in the tread points forward like on tractor tyres etc. cheers
make sure you do a star pattern when doing the beadlocks, ive learnt the hard way

@@robertgeddes511 I’ve never even thought of doing that. Very cool idea, and something I’ll consider for the future
The shocks you pulled out are a foam cell they dont open up like a normal shock haha so yeah there absolutely fine
Good to know! Still due for a freshen up regardless
Ratchet straps = coil compressor 🤟🏽

Bro, next time put a jack under the diff also, take wheel off and drop diff and springs and shocks go straight it without compressor

How does it drive
@@potatoracing3242 Drives quite well for a 27 year old car with a big lift. The only thing I’ll be adjusting is my front diff castor angle.

Should’ve pulled the wheels off, a lot of easier and allows for more droop
Really should invest in a big wheel jack too

How’s the petrol go? I’m looking to buy my first 4wd but to scared of petrol consumption 😂

If your worried about the petrol well let’s just say that’s the least of your worries if I struggle to pay for fuel don’t buy a 4wd

I'd guess 30lt per 100 around town, tb48 on 35s do about 30 so this would be similar
like the wheels but to much lift looks stupid
