THANK YOU. I see all these popular figures shitting on Marvin and calling him bottom 3 but he's actually super good and a bunch of people don't know what he's capable of or how he works. I love how Marvin plays and love how strong he can be with proper setup.
Marvin was one of my mains back in the beta and I’m working on making him my best character. You pulled off some very clean combos that I want to try myself now. 👏
I love Marvin, most unique character in the game, if not every platform fighter I’ve played. I love area/screen control characters in every fighting game, especially because they usually have really cool tools like Dhalsim in SF. At first, Marvin feels very weak to people just walking at you, but once you figured out how to schmove with him you can control so much space around you for so long. Only thing that sucks so far is the Black Adam matchup. He’s tanky as hell so you can’t really kill him besides with a rocket setup, but he can fly at will and therefore just invalidate pretty much all of your pressure tools. You can’t even use your up attack to hit him, the flying character, cuz he can easily avoid it. Literally the only tool I got use out of was bubble and just walking with the bubble and keeping it on me to threaten any time he tries to get cheeky and pressure with normals off of there. Yet, at the same time, he hits very hard and you’re so squishy as Marvin you can be trying to kill him at 150% and then you’ll get caught lacking once at 60% and immediately vaporized by a stray swing
Goated character! I'm having a blast, I truly believe that the perk where you can aim your shot in the air is his best personal perk, it adds so much pressure.
@@Wisdomv3 This simple move feels like it was supposed to be in his base kit, but for some reason they made it a perk. It just feels right to play with it.
Being a Marvin main I have come to the conclusion that every Marvin neutral B is personalized. (No mater how hard I try the rocket refuses to be reversed.)
A lot of Marvin is good reads and positioning, something that might take some time getting used to, but the perk is doing mental damage to your opponent lol. Unironically, the more you hard read your opponent, the less confident they’ll be in how they play, allowing you to win easier

i do use the one were project tiles you reverse gets increases size and move faster for combos
