Anker sound core select pro is my pick, I have the sound core select pro am I am very satisfied , I have dropped it so many times and it just keeps ticking, its dinged up but the sound quality is still their
I work in a fab shop and the zealot is what i need its loud just an recently just orderd one !
It is loud and distorts. Battery life is also terrible at loud volume and it will not play and charge at the same time when the battery is depleted. Great.choice! 😆
More clear the speaker on the left for sure but I have 2 zealots just put em both half way sounds great
At 50% it does sound alright. At higher volume it sounds 😞 awful.

Not sure which speaker you are referring to, but both are good at lower levels.. When you get higher in volume is where the Zealot starts deteriorating in sound..

@@JaysStraightUpReviews Ended up picking up 2 at Walmart, seems like it goes in between the neo and the rave+. Mid and high bass is good, almost nothing on the low end. They get pretty loud but the mids are muddy and the highs are harsh even with eq adjustment. The lights are nice though, very partybox-esque.

Select Pro is quite a bit less expensive and has lights. Both are good speakers, but the Select Pro is probably the choice I would make between the two with all factors considered.
I think the zealot overall has more outstanding performance,more wattage the soundcore just limits its performance by eq
At mid to low volume the Zealot is a pretty decent speaker. As you go past that higher in volume it starts sounding like a distorted mess. No DSP used at all by a company that just pumps out cheap-o speakers. The Zealot won't even play when plugged in if the battery is depleted.
Only louder, I still love my sound core select pro
The Soundcore isn't limiting anything via EQ, but rather DSP. It's designed to keep the speaker from getting out of control. The Zealot is as out of control as a 19 year old drunk frat boy on a Saturday Rave night.
can you compare awie y669 vs jbl charge 5 who is better?

how do they compare with equal db rating say 80 db to 80db, you know comfortable listening range. I would assume the soundcore would be at 80% volume and the s67 would be about 50% volume. which would get more battery life around 80 decibels

I have zealot s57 I think is better because it has the single bar bass radiator..I don't use much or aux ...or tf..I have EQ and pushed it and it was good to about 80 percentage..then distortion was Heard..I like it as long as it's EQ properly..they need to kick up quality on inputs .. 🎤 and have more advanced DSP
I did a review of the S57 and wasn't too impressed. The mic jack was also trash. Zealot is just a cheap Chinese brand that makes sub par speakers.

As far as sound quality goes, Harman Kardon sometimes has the Onyx Studio 4 and Onyx Studio 7 on sale for $99. They don't have good battery life and no water proof rating, but they sound really great for under $100. The Tribit XSound Mega for a hand-held speaker and the Soundcore Motion Boom for a small boombox speaker are also great options under $100, just depends on what style of speaker you need.

After disabling " absolute volume" on Android developer options, Zealot S67 sounds absolutely amazing with no bass distortion and 0 problems with the volume increments. Sorry to contradict your little experiment but a little research beforehand goes a long way.
Sorry, but this doesn't solve the issue. Still some hella massive distortion at high and max volume and it also sounds bright and ear assaulting. It might help a little at mid volumes, but certainly not fixing the issues with the lack of DSP in this cheap speaker. Nice try, however, Ponch. 😆

As far as I know Zealot lists the S67 as 75w. Whatever the watts it;'s still a very mediocre speaker at best and I would get something else.
It depends on where you are from,American standard is 75w but other countries are produced 60w,i am a dealer by the way

I'm not so sure why a 100% volume is used on any amplifier or speaker and not expect clipping/distortion. The S67 is rated at 106db at full volume which is way more than needed anyway. Most of the time DSP on any device is trash, colors sound, and is not used by any real audiophile. I do agree the built in EQ settings are useless on the S67, but if you need to limit, trim or add reverb you can do it yourself through an application on your phone. You can save profiles for any device, and these are primarily Bluetooth interfaced so I don't see the issue except a learning curve.
The vast majority of Bluetooth speakers use DSP to limit distortion at high volume levels. JBL, for instance, will cut back bass output on even their very powerful speakers at very high to max volume to keep distortion at bay. And 100% volume is to get max output, of course.😆 Who wants a speaker you can't play loud when needed because it sounds like a hot, distorted mess? There are many 3rd party EQ apps you can get for phones or tablets to alter the sound, but if a speaker just can't reproduce certain audio, it just can't. The S67, as I have mentioned many times, doesn't sound bad at mid to low volume levels. Higher in volume it falls apart. You can go into a 3rd party app and decrease the bass GREATLY and it will cut that distortion. But then you are left with a speaker that sounds extremely thin at mid to low volume....so go back into the EQ and boost the low end back up. It's like a dog chasing it's tail to fix a glaring issue that the manufacturer didn't bother to address. Hope this helps. 😉

if you can't use the Zealot once depleted while charging , it's to protect the battery life ,you can use it while charging otherwise ....And it's a powerbank ...And you can use it with a powerbank ...
An app for the EQ is really advised : you use an EQ with the Anker , the three settings on the Zealot aren't enough , even if the normal mode should not distort at full volume ....I don' t own it but in Europe they sell it as it was a 60 watts , and it's a 75 , both versions are very similar ....
Maybe there's some distorsions but i couldn't hear them , i've seen a guy with problems with a motion boom plus here on UA-cam ....
The speakers need some time to break in logically , like a guitar amp ....

Personnally i have some problems with trebles , i play the guitar and i rarely use the bridge pick-up ......It stings ...
To make it short , maybe the Zealot has too many trebles but an EQ would help , but the Anker will never get any trebles : it doesn' t know what it is .....

I own one , the sound is balanced and it's clear , i own the W King D10 too , and if you listen to both outside the Zealot has the same power , inside the house the Wking has more power , more bass BUT sounds bassy and the Zealot more balanced ....
Some equalizer apps are very usefull and add some volume to them ....But they add some distorsion too , you must go easy ...
The Wking D , a real champ isn't a winner in the comparison , the sound is diferent and more powerfull ( it reaches the 110 decibels ) .....
Two different sounds with the D10 : too bassy or too trebly ,but not bad , it's perfect for dance music or rap , if i want to listen to some reggae they both do the job , if i want to listen to some blues i choose the Zealot ....
It seems that you destroy the speakers out of the box , these machines need 5 hours minimum at low volume with different types of music , different frequencies , it's important ....
To reach the max volume on the Zealot you must press the + volume knob until you hear a beep ....
We both know the D 10 is a champ , it's louder than the T11 , but for its price the Zealot is a real good deal ....
Don't worry , my ears are OK , i'm a musician , i don't like boom boom music too much , and as i've said already your video is a good advertizing for the Zealot , i own it now : THANK YOU ....
The distorsion you are talking about , which i don' t hear and would be logical anyway with the kind of music you use in this video can be fixed with a free equalizer app ....

I haven't tried yet , but i think classical music would be much more clear and balanced with the Zealot , not on the D10 .....

@@sirzembla4512 that was quite a post..lol. Bottom line is the Zealot has no DSP to control the bass and will get out of control with bass heavy music. I've owned or auditioned probably 175-200 different portable speakers over the past several years and the S67 has issues. Now you can go into a 3rd party app and greatly reduce the bass and it will cut most of the distortion, but it also zaps the full and rich sound of the bass in music. If you keep it at 60% vol. or less it's not a bad speaker. And no, there is no burn-in or loosening up of the drivers in these tiny BT speakers. To say something like the S67 gets better sounding over time is ridiculous.
