The hiking gods are smiling on you, my friend! Great weather, cricks are flowing, no other people in sight, and a hotel pizza night!?...sheesh. Awesome Arkansas wilderness video capturing action in the meantime too! Looking forward to Hurricane Creek...one of my fav places! Steady as she goes!
Hell yeah, man! Only time I got wet in 12 days was a 2-mile hike on Hwy 65 in Marshall to the Daisy Queen for a fish basket & fried apple pie. Late night second dinner Dominoes run was a must!
Thank you, Catherine. The calorie deficit was real after the first 3 days. Hard for me to eat when it’s that hot/humid, all the food is dry, & drinking 6-7 liters of water a day. Made up for it when I got to town though!
Yours is the first camera I've seen that gives a good depiction of elevation depth. Your next section is what I hiked dec23/24. But I went the other way east to west.
The ole iPhone 14 Pro does a pretty decent job, for the videos I make. It’s actually way smoother before UA-cam compresses it down. Maybe one of these days I’ll invest in a legit camera. Thanks for watching, man.
It gets remote out that way. After I left Ozone for LFS I didn’t see anyone until mid day 3. The 100 mile mark was exciting to see. I know pizza and a shower were great. Enjoying the adventure.
Yeah man, pretty incredible. I did run into a westbound thru-hiker as I was leaving Little Piney Creek. Only 1 person for 4 1/2 days until I reached Haw Creek Campground that Friday. Alone with nothing but your own thoughts. Hell, I got to where I didn’t even want to hear the sound of my own voice! Ha #seclusion
OHTA just a trail maint. dude.. 07 Bro !! Spring Creek to Moccasin Springs TH ebo is pretty kool. "The stepchild section" to Norfork/Matney. Norfork is the ONLY town the OHT actually goes through.. But due to the "Wilderness" from Dillards Ferry to Spring Creek. js. Politics.
Nice! I’ll hike the Sylamore section this winter, more than likely. And I need to clean up Grinders to Dillards Ferry. Mentally, I checked out of this hike as soon as I got on the BRT. Horse 💩 all over the trail, horse 💩 in the creek beds, & all that road walking - just doesn’t do it for me after hiking through basically pristine wilderness for 160 miles.

The water flowing is absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️ it’s all beautiful
Nice job! I'm sure you were beyond ready for ALL the town food! You capture the scenery very well.

Thanks, Rick. It’s amazing what we take for granted in everyday life!
Cedar creek was really cool with the water flowing.
Love that area. I could live down there.
Great videos, man! You really present it all so well. Looks like a great hike, too.
Thanks man. Incredible hike! 10/10 recommend.
Three whole days with no cell service and no people? That sounds like paradise lol. Good work amigo. Might be my favorite one so far.
