Stunning. Love the ebony stain. Great choice. You never cease to amaze me with your projects. I swear you make this 64-year-old woman want to run to the Home Depot and buy a circular saw. Love it. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
Wow! Love! Wow! Love! I enjoy watching your videos and appreciate the quality of your work and your videos. Informative AND concise. Keep it up! Looking forward to more and watching your channel grow exponentially!
That finish tho... can we just have a moment of silent appreciation. Ok now we can shout this is AMAZING!!! Such a beautiful job... such a beautiful piece! It looks like a million bucks! Hats off to you! 👏👏👏
Oh my gosh I didn't think I would find such a video but I have one of these tables that I'm getting ready to stain in the ebony from Verathane is one of the colors I have that I'm considering for part of the table so getting to see it in this video is perfect thank you so much!
Maybe, but just minimally IMO. The dark stain gives it a very chic & elegant look. But I can see wanting to see the grain or herringbone a bit more too, but I also love this look. “Different grains for different brains”
I just made my first herringbone headboard. Made several mistakes but it still turned out cute. You have inspired me to try again and make this table. I have been eyeing a similar table at Restoration Hardware but I’m going to make this instead. Love your work.
what a beautiful dining table !!! I am thinking of making a table which is 86-91 inches long. It is my first time doing something like this so not sure if same legs would work for bigger table. I would greatly appreciate if you have any suggestions regarding that.
I have a huge 'formal' dining table with chunky pedestal legs that I'm trying to figure out how to simplify its formal-ness so it can become our everyday, farmhouse type table. I'm hoping to catch tips and inspo from your DIYs :) Thanks for sharing all these with us. It really shows a world of possibilities :)
Great idea and execution. My only suggestions would be to use a mask when spray painting and apply the poly outside or in the garage to keep from getting fumes inside the house. The black top would also look real good with an epoxy coating. I think you are an amazing young lady.
Awesome table, love your channel, thanks for your service! We built our closet around your idea too and now making the table. Question… I’m at the stage of sanding right now and I’m finding that it’s lumpy where the boards meet. Is that expected? Does the poly help with that? Thanks! Keep it up!
How is this holding up? I have never laminated standard wood over plywood with glue like that as I was concerned about wood movement - standard wood expands and contracts a lot while the plywood base does not. This does look quite good though.
hi Stefani, I have a kitchen window that was just build, it's wood but it has no protection from water or anything I was told I have to put clear coat or stain it if I want to. I just want a clear coat on it, which one do you recommend?
What is the formula you used to determine moving 2.5" left of center. I think it has to due with the width of your herringbone boards (6") but I can't figure out what formula you used to determine. I'm curious in case I want to build something with smaller width boards.
hello, first of all i will leave a qualified like in this wonderful video, because your channel is one of my favorites on youtube, i will always be supporting your great channel, the more i wish success on your great channel, all the best for you and until the next video, hugs from Ricardo from Brazil🇧🇷🇧🇷👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍😃👍👍👍
Love the stuff you do! Question in good faith for this project: Since the hardwood is an unstable substrate and you're bolting it on top of the plywood which is a stable substrate, won't that cause issues when the wood expands and contracts? This extends to the mitered border as well. I'm guessing you have lots of faith in your paint and finish?
I was thinking the same thing. I love the way you walked us through the process, but perhaps connecting them with dowels may help prevent future problems when the wood starts to expand ans contract.
Do you find any issues with wood movement and using wood filler in the cracks? Do you worry the wood filler will crack at the joints with the movement?
Hi Stefani! I’ve heard that pine is not the best material to use for tables since it gets dented easily, in your experience is that true? If so, what other kind of wood would you use? Thank you!
I am wondering about the expansion and contraction of the wood! Isn't this prone to crack since solid wood expands and contracts throughout the year and the wood have no room to do that?
Two questions. Do you find a bristle brush gives a smoother finish than a foam brush on the poly? Second, do you thin the poly (to get it to flow more smoothly) or use it straight from the can, and why? Thanks.
Just a thought. As an alternative you could use flooring - secret nail profile - no nail holes to fill. Nevertheless this looks fantastic although you do make it look a lot easier than it is.
Stefani nothing but encouragement for you, anyone willing to serve their country like you did, gets kudos from me.

Your table is beautiful! Great job.
South African saying HI from China Beijing. Keep up the good content!
Thank you for watching!!
Nice, but stain too dark IMO, you loose the herringbone pattern too much.
Maybe, but just minimally IMO. The dark stain gives it a very chic & elegant look. But I can see wanting to see the grain or herringbone a bit more too, but I also love this look. “Different grains for different brains”
I wish the wood grain was a bit more visible as well. But either way I agree with you it has a very chic and elegant look!👍
Você é muito inteligente

Thank you! Good luck with your projects!
Look so professional made. I wish I could make something like this.
Beautiful!
Beautifully done...! 🍷
Thank you!!
I hope the cars didn’t get too much of the bronze paint overspray on them. Beautifully done table!
My wife and I have similar taste as you. Thank you. Are you planning to build a built in bookcase some time in the future?
Omg! I am so impressed! How did I JUST find you???? 😳
Can you use this as a countertop? I am making a sidebar and this would be perfect, and I love the look of the herringbone!
what a beautiful dining table !!! I am thinking of making a table which is 86-91 inches long. It is my first time doing something like this so not sure if same legs would work for bigger table. I would greatly appreciate if you have any suggestions regarding that.
Is nailing the herringbone pieces from the bottom of the plywood instead possible to avoid holes on the top?
That could possibly work!
You make everything so easy, thank you so much , l m learning alot from you, l really hope you have more people subscribe.
Love love your Channel ❤️👌🏼👌🏼❤️❤️

Gorgeous and the table is nice too! 🤪
Me encanta!!!
Thank you Stef 💕💕💕
Thank you for watching!
I should be sleeping at 4am but.... I'm enjoying this wonderful video!! Great work 👌🏽
I prefer the look (finish) of your personal table better than the black one. What finish did you use for yours? Great job on the table!!
Great idea and execution. My only suggestions would be to use a mask when spray painting and apply the poly outside or in the garage to keep from getting fumes inside the house. The black top would also look real good with an epoxy coating. I think you are an amazing young lady.
I will definitely keep that in mind. Thank you so much!!
If I have a different size of wood then you, do I still move the center line over 2” in order for it to be centered?
Great videos! Can you share what gauge nailer you used for this project? Will the nails be invisible if we stain with light color? Thanks a lot!
Beautiful table. did you consider driving the nails from underneath through the plywood first so to not leave any visible nail hole/patches?
Beautiful! I'm curious about how much did the materials cost?
Would you do more sanding after the first coat next time to get more of the raised grain out?
Awesome table, love your channel, thanks for your service! We built our closet around your idea too and now making the table. Question… I’m at the stage of sanding right now and I’m finding that it’s lumpy where the boards meet. Is that expected? Does the poly help with that? Thanks! Keep it up!

If I use 3 inch wide boards would I still go 2 1/2 inches to left of center?
I love this table! Wish you can build one for me ~
Do you find any issues with wood movement and using wood filler in the cracks? Do you worry the wood filler will crack at the joints with the movement?
This is amazing! Is the poly a gloss finish or a semi-gloss finish?
Very nice. New subscriber 💪😎
Does it matter if you go width wise or length wise on the polyurethane?
Two questions. Do you find a bristle brush gives a smoother finish than a foam brush on the poly? Second, do you thin the poly (to get it to flow more smoothly) or use it straight from the can, and why? Thanks.
Just a question, how do you like the Ryobi tools so far?
Hi, I have a question... did you place the legs on the frame you made or the tape itself? I really want to make something similar. BTW its beautiful
For a better shine try to polish the poly with a cutting compound and buffer.
Very nice
Thanks!
Piękna i utalentowana :)
Do you ever have a problem with the holes showing through your stain because of the product you used to fill them?
Just a thought. As an alternative you could use flooring - secret nail profile - no nail holes to fill. Nevertheless this looks fantastic although you do make it look a lot easier than it is.
Good idea, thanks for sharing!
How has this table responded to expansion and contraction?
About how many nails do you get on a charge with the Ryobi?
