I wonder, the plates at 3:50 - am I correct to assume that they are UHMWPE plates? If so - at what temperature are they later 'cooked'?
From what I have read the material melts at temperatures as low as 150 C.

What are the machines used for making the tactical helmets?
The kevlar sheets are put in special machines called matrices where they are pressed to a required shape.

it's cured to ensure the bonding of ceramic with the PE plate
