This one has to be the simplest, the best made, and the quickest (by a margin, considering how fast the nut got red). Kudos man, this is brilliantly well made. I especially like the copper arms. Simplifies a lot of issues that you'd have with using other means of transporting electricity to the tips.

Change the tips from round to a gripping pattern like on a vise.
Change the button for a lever. Attached the lever with a spring or a rubber band to the clamps that they will be closed. At the end of the movement of the lever is a contact which will close when reached. This way you can have a firm grip on the parts while also actuate the power.

I like the simplicity in the way you build the welder.
    1. Since it's an open concept, perhaps it would be better & safer if the mains terminals of the transformer were faced inwards.
    2. Perhaps you could also add a micro-switch to turn the mains on automatically when the upper arm is pushed down.

Crimping an eyelet on a cable like that is a guarantee it will come loose in the near future. Just the thermal expansion will make it slide off bit by bit, and considering this is a high-current, but pulsed load, it will cycle thermally all the time. The correct crimping tool makes a little divet / indentation in the eyelet sleeve for that exact reason. If you want to do it at home, without the expensive hydraulic crimper, do it the same way you did, but then, take a small ball bearing, and insert it between the vice jaw and the sleeve, then crank the vise as far as it goes, to press the ball bearing into the sleeve, so it creates that indent. Either this, or just take a punch and hammer it down into the sleeve. The indented spot then holds the cable firmly. The more indents you make, the better it holds the cable in place (as an electrician, I do at least two on sleeves that are intended for 50mm² and below wires, and 3 on 50mm² -120mm², but when I do them at home, without my fancy-pants hydraulic crimper, I do at least 4 on the 50mm² and below ones (I do two on one side, then turn it 180 deg., then do two more divets so they land in between the old ones [kinda like oOoO, where "o" is the first pair, and "O" the second pair, but 180° apart)

Interesting to see you use red and black heat shrink for the output wires from an AC transformer. There is no positive and negative out of any transformer. It is all AC until you rectify it, if that is what you want. Also, I would certainly cover over the exposed copper strips going to each electrode end. If you somehow get any metal touching any place on those exposed strips, they will heat up very quickly and could cause an issue. Just a safety issue. Nicely made electrodes though. Thumbs Up!
