This is the first time I have seen this. She was the epitome of class and grace. How she spoke so eloquently only months after MLK Jr. had been killed. She stood by what they believed which was non violence even after his death and carried the torch. What a remarkable woman indeed!❤❤
Sadly, there’s not many women like her around anymore.
Neither Coretta nor ANY of her children appeared saddened, much less did any of them shed a single tear over the 'alleged' death of her husband and their father, MLK, while spending their first Christmas following his death, less than nine months prior. It was as if they all knew he were alive and well and the assassination were a hoax, OR that he wasn't the children's real father and he meant nothing to them.
What a classy and well spoken wife and family. They demonstrate the true definition of class.
You would have said that no matter how they presented themselves.

Coretta was the epitome of elegance, class, grace and strength. She was in a "class" by herself. And she's right we'll never find another King. As she said, a leader of his caliber once in a 1000 years or a lifetime.

I agree but disagree. There are many many good peoples of this world! We must learn to love, respect, and trust one and other. It really is simple. We whites cherish black folk as we do our own and any other race. We are all but people after all.
Well said
@@rrogers5077CorettaScottKing is my favorite. Such a classy and elegant lady
She was well spoken. She carried out her legacy with grace. The children are adorable.
Correta was a women who kept strong for her children. And she wanted what was best for her children. Such an amazing mom
a mother like her comes along perhaps every 1,000 years
Coretta scott king Looks like My Mother
A lady of noble and profound character....such an inspiration!
That was pretty deep for their 13 year old to understand in depth. Rest on Dr. King, and thank you ❤️
Nobody deserved to be assassinated SPECIALLY a HUMAN BEING like Marthin Luther King. Beautiful wife and beautiful children. 3/24/2020 I'd still felt sad.
Well said, man. Well said.
I don’t feel he gave his life, it was taken from him 😞
She is an absolute beautiful angelic creature. Her husband was watching over them and waiting for her, until she was called to reunite with him. 💜 Bless them.
R.I.P DEXTER S. KING
My gosh. What a beautiful family!
Especislly Yolanda. Only 13 and already in high school?
And smart and intelligent too
My my my
Yolanda dead now 2
Paulette Little damn thanks for the info
Many people, like myself were 13 when we entered high school. It all depends on the month of the year in which you were born.
What a beautiful holy family now with Coretta and Martin are Dexter and Yoki
We have to stand with Bunny (Bernice) and Marty (Martin III) and protect our legacy of grace and humility.
Mrs. King carried herself woth such regalness. Beauty and class personified. And such beautiful and articulate young children.
What a beautiful lady.😊
Remarkable how happy the children looked.
Because they have faith and know they will see their father again.
David Val All thru the strength of God
Good looking family.
What a gracious courageous and brave woman Coretta Scott King was❤
the kids are soooo well spoken. unlike most children today. it's incredible to see
RIP...Master Dexter Scott King...1961-2024...The dream and the work continues...
Yolanda died young.... Beautiful family
Poised and lovely woman. A great example of how to behave with dignity.
RIP Coretta, Yolanda, and Dexter!
“ Unearned suffering is redemptive” 🥀
Fantastic heartfelt interview. Character totally matters. Tears are flowing for the meaning of family and love. This family is truly blessed. 🙏 It’s a new year 2023 and we need to heal. We are all one. Love is the answer.
Hearing Mrs. King talk about the future as a single mom and leader of the family. She ends with “Redemption.”
Yolanda looks just like him! Wow
Yes!!! Lol
Yes Yolanda looked the MOST like her Father
Yolanda looked like her dad and sounded like her mom.
@@lesliejohnson1549Yes she does look like her father, and Dexter looks like his mother. They are a beautiful, precious family, inside and outwardly.
I think she looks just like her mother😊 Dexter looked like his father😊
The oldest girl looks just like her daddy what a man of God we should think there father ever day
Its ridiculous how much she looked just like him! Lol
The youngest girl, Bernice is an attorney. In addition, she is a trained clergy person just like her beloved father.
Rest In Peace Yolanda.
Mrs. Corretta King so elogent, articulate, intelligent! As well as the children beautiful!💗RIH a great man & great woman!👏👏👏👏💗💗💗
Beautiful family inside and out.
What an amazing family Martin Luther King Jr. has. It was God grace that kept this beautiful family.
God via Harry Belafonte and others
She is a very strong lady😔 .
I'm sad for them.
But God bless America because of Martin Luther King Jr.
I just let the tears flow some . What a family Mrs and Mr. King.
They are so classy. Martin III's cute little accent and Bernice's accent. R.I.P Yolanda, she always looked half asian to me. I heard Dexter doesn't get along with Bernice and Martin III. So sad ,Yolanda told her mom she's not going to cry bc one day she'll see him again and she died pretty young like only 2yrs after her mom. R.I.P Dr. King, Mrs. King, and Ms. Yolanda King.
She was 51 when she passed. MLK III will be 65 this year Dexter 61 and Bernice will be 59 this year all his children outlived him .he was so young only 39 and never see his 40th birthday and crying shame only someone want to take his life for no reason and that inexcusable act for that person part and his children had go through that pain and trauma and their children thinking about their father each day and missing him. My heart goes out to them.
The siblings resolved their past issues.
Beautiful family 😢
01/26/24🙏✌️❤️
An absolutely beautiful and spiritually rich family!
What a great woman Mrs. King was! She was intellegent, strong, and deep thinker May she and her family members who left this earth rest in peace! I thank you from the bottom of my heart❤❤❤
His kids were brave and strong like there parents and Coretta and Yolanda is now with the man who brought great change to America
Kind of sad they were expected to not cry. I know in those days, it was thought that not showing emotion was a sign of strength but really it’s the other way around.
And their beautiful, Southern accents are just 💯.
As of 2019 they are still carry in his name with dignity and class
Good gracious. These kids are so sharp.
Really cool to see something from the '60s in color.
Very moved by this video. 😢
I really wish people quit being surprised when we sound intelligent. We have a brain! ✊🏽💪🏽
🗣What fine examples of strength, courage, and faith. Dr. King’s legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren, and those who want equality and justice for all.
Yolanda and Dexter now rests with each other parents, grandparents, aunt's and uncle and their generations🙏🏽 rest in Love❤
Now dexter passed away!🙏🏼😟
The eldest child, Yolanda passed in 2007.
She spoke well.
Coretta Words Was Meaningful And Full Of Hope Towards Everyone And Especially Her Children To. 😇
She's so graceful

Omg Coretta was so beautiful ❤️❤️
Wonderful people, just like I imagined.
Beautiful daughters.
My gosh, Corrie was so well and clearly spoken. I only aspire to speak with such eloquence. 🥰
She reminded us that during that time we lost two of America's symbols of hope in JFK and MLK. You can see the pain in her eyes, but feel the bravery, wisdom, and courage in her spirit and character. Such an epitome of Strength, Grace, and Class.
Wonderful family! This was a special video to run across on You Tube. I'm sure if Doctor King could now see how his children are as adults he would be so proud of them. As for the question of leadership on civil rights I can tell you as a white Southern male that very few have made the impact on the psychic that he has. His life has had a positive influence on me for many, many of my 63 yea
So grateful to find this
RIH Dexter Scott King!!! I am lifting the entire family in prayer!
Beautiful family
Martin Luther King always has a special place, in my heart, for all the works he did. A very smart, intelligent, and brave man.
I was glad to hear my grandchild speaking to me about what they learned in school, about him. I've had to have them over, for some days, to do virtual school. While at some times, they can get disruptive, this last MLK Day, in school, I told them to be like MLK kids, that day, because MLK had good kids. They really seemed to work on their behavior most of that day.
I love this 60minute interview with Coretta, and their kids. Coretta speaks so intelligently, just like MLK, and I can see how they were like soulmates. She's so refined, and has been like a role model, to me.
Always be sad that this beautiful family was torn apart, behind MLK death, but Coretta did a mighty, mighty fine job, of holding them together. But still.
We'll understand it all, by and by.✌🏽❤🙏🏻🌷🌲🎵
My first time seeing this interview. Such a beautiful family. ❤

Yolanda and Dexter
Beautiful strong woman.❤️
Such a classy, elegant, intelligent, beautiful wife of slain Civil Rights Leader MLK JR. The kids are beautiful. She answered with grace & humility. ❤
Beautiful, first-class, elegant family. I adore Mrs. King. Our Christian denomination teaches that one who sacrifices his life for his fellow man automatically enters Paradise. Dr. Martin Luther King pray for us.
Sorry but that's not biblical
Excellent strength from God.
Excellent legacy.

“Teases” or racial slurs. I’m so sad watching this interview. I’ve looked info deeply COINTELPRO by the FBI. Our government is awful.

I'm not quite sure what happened to Americans or why. Back in the 60s 50s 40s, we were so articulate as a nationality, as a culture. So poised. And there was even an innocent.
