Great video. I am looking forward to a tour of Tankoa. Solo was a beautiful yacht. Having a pool, hot tub, or any water feature on a yacht is essential to me. I like pools because I know there is nothing in a pool that will eat me.
Well as you know from past comments I love every aspect of your channel, but seeing Chloe and the editor pop in was quite nice. And I loved the open outro where we can hear you guys discussing. YES; I do have your email in-hand and will reach out to you when it is time to purchase; but as a diligent, respectful professional I am waiting until I can pull the trigger for real. So please stand by it won't be too long! 🙏
Thanks for watching! And I look forward to hearing from you; one of the unexpected outcomes of this channel is that many enjoy watching to feed their goals and aspirations. I actually do the same thing...I'd love to own a yacht one day and often watch other videos to feed the goal!
I get why you have a pool on the yacht. I once helped out a friend who worked as a sailing instructor. The lesson was how to rescue someone from the water. (Living in Sweden there are no dangerous species). So we set sail and went quite a bit from shore - between Landskorna and an island called Ven. I put on my life jacket and plunged in to the water, and they sailed away (to learn how to approach with a sailboat, slow down, and get the boat in irons and so on)... Suddenly it struck me - there is a 120 feet of dark water below me, some current, and a lot of big ships. And I'm just a dot on the water. That was quite scary - and i had to do it a couple of times because there were more then one student... Anyway - it's not that fun to swim in open and often deep water far away from the coast - and not very safe either (if not wearing a life jacket).
Another great video David. I've always work by the moto: "if you have to ask what the cost of something is (namely when it is 40+m long), then you can't afford it". I mean think about it. 40+m of anything it going to cost right? On another note, it amazes me that with all the new fanciful designs coming out these days just how many people still prefer an older style of yacht with old fashioned features such as the Feedship you recently covered. I too am in this category. They have that old world charm that many admire I guess. Feel free to cover some more of these beauties when you find them. Thank you for all you work (and the team's as well of course!).
I would like to see these yachts should they become reality. As I'm sure you understand more than I do, you can't always trust the concept release. I really appreciate when you talk to us about the process. I'm one of those that would _love, love, love_ to send an e-mail to see a yacht or get more information, but I'm not in that income bracket (for now 😁), yet yachts are my biggest dream/goal/ideal. I just can't imagine sending an e-mail saying "Hey, I can't afford a dingy, but can you tell me more about _Tatiana_ ?" (Until then, I have to settle for cruise ships.) Also, it's always enjoyable to see glimpses of those behind the scenes that support you.
Glad you enjoyed it! The T55 Sportiva is already in construction, so I'd guess we'll be seeing that launched in 2025. The 76m Apache though is still just a concept as far as I'm aware. Tankoa certainly have the ability to build it, and it's an awesome design so maybe one day...
Thank you for your always very objective and deep insights. They give a so much better overview of the benefits and real value of the yachts. As we can see on your posts, it doesn`t make any sense to open every closet , fridge or door and then act absolutely surprised, as if that were something absolutely special 😂. Your posts make a huge difference from being a pro to a miniskirt- wearing commentator with a panting „dog“ in tow. ( sorry for that 😬)
Time wasters. We were selling a 65m in Antibes. A broker called to say a prospective owner would like to come and have a quick look. Waiting at the IYCA for him to arrive, this crappy old Ford 4X4 arrived with a guy in muddy green wellies got out with an equally muddy gun dog. The skipper went meet him and the broker. Kicking off his boots he had a good look around and was pretty knowledgeable. Not having high hopes of a sale, he left. Speaking to Peter Insull, the broker, we asked who the heck he was? Found out he owned the largest private mobile phone company in the US. Can't judge a book by it's cover sometimes.
Hey there, David! Is there a yacht featuring private crew berths? I’ve always thought it would be such a great idea, obviously on larger super yachts. I’ve seen several on your channel that I’ve caught myself thinking they would’ve been a perfect candidate for such layout.
Luv the new format... like showing your location where you are in the yacht, aft, salon, etc .. and all the new type face and text animation.... awesome... fyi I'm the 691 subscriber that smashed the like button...hahaha... cheers
It is funny you say that about due diligence and knowing the wealth factor of a potential buyer, because the world is being flipped upside down and inside out, and the people you think are wealthy are going to turn up impoverished, and the people you think are unprepared financially are going to turn up with resources. But I understand your point. The Tankoa yachts do look very nice... many options for many interests. I especially like aspects of the T760 and a few of the smaller yachts Tankoa offers.
Very informative vlog today....I am glad that you finally explained the "qualified buyer" term. Believe me, if I ever contact you for help on buying a yacht, it will be through my lawyers and will be more than willing to offer proof of my seriousness....now, just to win that lottery to get the ball rolling)
I have a question, how much dammage is done to the hull below the water line over time? Ive watched narrowboat vids and their hulls get chipped away till the old ones need new plateing under. Do super yachts go the same way?
Not entirely a fan of the “adorable” comment but love the end of the vids with more real conversation rather than the usual 10star top notch production
Hello, David! Great video as always (Like button gently caressed ;)). I understand about all the variables that can affect the price of a yacht, which raises a question I've always wondered. From your walk throughs of yacht builders, I've seen that some (i.e. Numarine) have their own cabinetry/carpentry group doing interiors. Perhaps this is a dumb and obvious question, but is it safe to say that the all-inclusive builders like that are more economical to the prospective buyer?
I’m glad you brought up Solo. It was sold and about a year later it hit the market again. Is there something wrong with it? Why is it on the market for so long? And why isn’t it selling?
That Sportiva looks like my dream yacht. If it can hold a Nemo submarine, I'm sold. Not sure about them calling the yacht 'Apache' though. The woke cancel culture crowd will object, even though none of them are of that tribe. But that yacht also looks amazing. Unfortunately I would have my kids on my yacht and my purpose for that pool would be prurient in nature. (I know you'll have to look that word up but you learned a new word)
As always a great informative vlog but i can't help but notice 3 bottles of spirits over your shoulder have you a problem ??? only joking i thought they were some sort of spirit like vodka my missis thinks your to classey for that and it's an expensive wine, please let us know thanks
Haha! Thanks for watching. The kitchen at N&J is always full of drinks of all kinds (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) so when we built the studio and were looking around for something to put on the shelves I grabbed the bottles and put them there. They are 2021 Cotes de Provence Rose, from a company called "Ultimate Provence". Believe it or not I have NO idea what they taste like!!!
I've talked to Yacht brokers even decades ago in Seattle and a large percentage of the prospective "buyers" wanted to engage in the fantasy of Bovine Scatology or BS for short, for this very reason the second conversation is always a formal and verifiable letter of financial ability from a reputable banking institution, period. a google check would be a poor but quick alternative. i cant imagine what the field is like now in a world of scandalous untruth and outrageous duplicity.
Ah yes my future Ex-wife, whom I've no doubt will persuade me to go for a swim and then get the boat to kick on a notch or two...which is why I'll insist on a pool on the yacht.
Well if you google me you would miss out on a huge deal 😊I completely understand you not wasting your time but some times google doesn’t know everything
Hi Driver 5, thanks for your comment. You’re completely correct, I’ve represented a couple of clients who are practically untraceable on Google. They were both prepared to tell me about their financial qualifications when I asked though, providing personal wealth statements from their banks within minutes of my request.
My business partners fight with me often about keeping everything under wraps, as there are MANY safety issues, amongst other reasons. I was in sales for over 40 years, so I do understand the value of sales peoples time vs dreamers. So, as he mentioned, an RWA, LOA or even better, money set aside in escrow kind of cuts to the chase when an individual is ready to purchase. But as another poster mentioned, you never know, and so you can't judge a book by its cover! In all honesty, I would prefer (especially as a Black male) to see how people treat me, regardless. But indeed, when dealing with a GS G650 or something like the T760 Apache, ya kinda gotta be forthright. My summation is that it will go for around $73M Anyways, you made a very accurate point.
I have not been disappointed with anything Tankoa! MY Bintador is my absolute favorite, with the eat-in “American-style” galley Being the deal sealer!
Love me some Tankoa. IMHO one of the coolest yacht builders. Classy and edgy at the same time 🙂. More Tankoa on the channel please!

wow that is a cool design
Love the Tankoa Yacht 😊😢❤

Thank you for the great educated advice and information you deliver
Thanks David. 👍👍👍👍

That was some nice looking Yahts
Thanks for watching. Tankoa build some great looking yachts, I cant wait to see the T55 launched!
🤣 No David, not yet 9:50
Great information as always. I did forget about the other channel. Heading over now.

This video really felt good, keep it up!
Not entirely a fan of the “adorable” comment but love the end of the vids with more real conversation rather than the usual 10star top notch production
Don’t worry, the aforementioned Chloé was totally fine with it 😉
Are those Nautistyles sunglasses behind you in the cube? And those liquor looking bottles under your NJ hat, are they from Numarine?

Great video as usual. I have wondered what % of a charter fee goes to the the company that listed the charter, does this % vary or is it a flat fee?
Thanks for the question. The charter manager representing the yacht charges a 5% fee.
The charter broker representing the charter guest charges 15% .
I’m glad you brought up Solo. It was sold and about a year later it hit the market again. Is there something wrong with it? Why is it on the market for so long? And why isn’t it selling?
Solo is one of my favourites!
The exterior and interior is great.
He, this is Paul, the totally unqualified buyer. 😝
this is the second time you mentioned the people who fantasized about buying a boat

No sharks in swimming pool
